I love Wayfaring Stranger and listen to it often. Great harmonies between the three of them.
I just love the fact that every member gets a chance to in multiple songs gets a chance to show their vocals. SO AWESOME!

Loved your reaction as always... I was at their most recent concert in Atlanta and was lucky enough to snag a VIP pass and get to go backstage and have a small convo with each of the guys....It was the best experience I've ever had at any concert - the guys were so friendly and Chance was the easiest to talk with - they are all what they seem...just plain ol' guys that love what they do but don't take themselves too serious... I've said this - Chance is their "secret weapon" without his voice there would be a huge hole in their sound - they were fortunate they got him when Chris Rupp left. He just completes their total sound and is one heck-of-a-vocalist. His solo stuff is incredible as well.
Enough of the chitter-chatter from across the "Pond"...

Love how the Home Free family includes us the Home Fries into their lives in some of the intimate moments so we can celebrate with them too. 💓 Very sensitive of them to endear themselves to us even on another level. ❣
Chance is such a gem...such a perfect soothing voice...my favorite lead for him is "I Can't Outrun You" which he also directed very cleverly
Thanks for your analysis. This is definitely one of Home Free's more touching heartfelt songs. The video is very sweet too. Chance's voice is perfect for this type of ballad song. These guys are my favorite a cappella group. It's all about the song & not showing off with unnecessary gimmicks.
Adam Chance voice in this is so smooth that Tennessee Whiskey runs dry or drip drop by drop into a shot glass that he drink to fill himself to able back his voice to rejuvenate back to normal self.
My other favorite Chance lead is "I Can't Outrun You". Like Warm maple syrup being drizzled over hot pancakes on a snowy cold morning!

Another emotional song where Chance takes the lead, to stunning effect, is Yours. For some reason it's overlooked but is really moving. Plus the video is really cute, presenting him as a bridegroom (before he was even engaged) being prepared by the groomsmen and thinking about how his life has been changed by love. I'm sure you would enjoy it, even though there are no dogs.
People have been trying to pin down exactly what it it about Chance's voice that makes it so magical since he joined the band, and I wouldn't even try. But he has the ability to 1) fill his voice with an enormous vulnerability 2) take on a strange "inward" quality that makes what he sings like quietly vocalised thoughts and gives a mysterious quality to them. For the last, check out his version of Pancho and Lefty, a song which has been much covered by people who don't see the weirdness of it, the mystery of who the singer is addressing, the gaps in the storyline. Chance, as a writer, clearly understands all this, and the dying away at the end of verses gives the feel of a story he heard once long ago. Beautiful.
You are quite right about the spaghetti.
I've said it before, these guys don't do covers, they do upgrades! The background harmonies give it a melancholy hauntyness that really put depth into it. If I was a song writer or recording artist, I'm not sure I'd want these guys doing a cover of my song because it wouldn't be my song anymore! Great reaction and I'm guilty of snaping the pasta, sorry!
I love Adam's voice-he's a great crooner! I can't get enough of his voice-pure honey! He should have more lead vocals.

Finally! I requested this song to you almost a year ago. I'm just glad you are finally getting to it. IMHO this is Chances best song, great vocals and heartfelt performance. Thanks for doing this, and maybe have some tissues close by. 😢
I have been waiting for this one! After this I kept searching for Chance leads. Winter Song is the only Home Free song where Austin and Chance share the lead and it is another favorite of mine.
I can't outrun you, Finally free and Some girls do... They are what first came to mind, with Chance. Or did I misunderstand you 🤷🏼♀️

When they share leads, Chance is usually paired with Tim. Winter Song is the only song that is just Austin and Chance and was really nice. I'm surprised that they haven't used that pairing again.
@@callie3396 They don't seem to pair him much. He's either the only lead or it's multiple leads. Maybe it's that Chance and Austin's ranges are at that spot where they're too far apart but also too close. Or maybe they've just always felt Rob or Tim served the song better.

Chance is the essential element that makes so many things that Home Free does - possible. He is literally the jack-of-all that can rumble in the underworld, carry melody, beatbox, and create the sounds that fill in to give the others their "moments." It's awesome to see him stand out as the lead in this beautiful piece ... impressive talent.

Time for more Chance leads. I find myself suggesting him sooo often as he seems to get overlooked, and I just don’t understand it. You really should react to “I Can’t Outrun You”. It’s 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video. “Some Girls Do”, “Finally Free”, and “Blue Ain’t Your Color”, a shared lead with Rob.
Really like Chance’s tone. Always love your breakdowns and analysis. I appreciate the songs even more after hearing your input.

A great reaction to a beautiful song - this was one of Chance and Sami's favourites, so a wonderful choice for their engagement announcement.
Talking of the dog, the couple part of the video was filmed by Jimmy Bates, and we think that's his dog Dexter, the star of When Will I Be Loved. He has a couple of other possible cameos, in older video Any Way the Wind Blows and in People, with Jeffrey East.
I won't be the one to complain about a new Home Week Free, I've loved them since the first day I heard them.

I love your reaction and analysis....one of my favorite HF songs is "Love me like that." Austin wrote and really shines in this one. It's the one that got my daughter listening to HF.
I love all of their voices for different reasons but Chance really opens his mouth more in this video than we usually see. He also loves to throw his voice at the end of phrases and I love it personally.
Not going to lie - the end with Adam and his to-be-wife brought a tear to my eye. So sweet. 🥰

I believe this was the first HF song where Chance sang lead. One thing I've noticed is that whenever I listen to other reactors(which I do if it's a HF song; well, most of them) is that when ever Chance sings a noticable portion, they almost always comment on his voice. Glad you finally reacted to this one, Jen; and I'm looking forward to his upcoming album, which I think will be out this summer.

Love this song and love Chance's vocals. Everyone of these young men have wonderful voices, but this was just perfect for Chance. Oh, and everyone I know 'snaps' the pasta, including myself. If you're not going to twirl the pasta on a fork then there's no need for it to be full length. I've eaten it both ways but personally I prefer it to be the shorter length with lots of cheese and meat sauce. And Chance singing in the background and some cheap wine to go along with the pasta, you know the kind that actually tastes good!!! But even if we disagree on pasta, I still think you're the most fun reactor on UA-cam.

@@JenniferGlatzhofer : Adam Chance is both of bass- baritone but mainly baritone. Because his old group called: Street Conner Symphony and he listed bass. In Home Free still both of bass- baritone which is a hybrid to me.
