Psych2Go the starting premise here is slightly flawed. You gave examples of different behavior and said it was hardwired without mentioning socialization. For instance, boys and girls are trained to use the bathroom differently, not that either is physically incapable of doing it the other way.

To sum up, she needs to: 1. get to know you as a person. 2. know how you think. 3. know you're a good conversationalist. 4. know that you're reliable 5. know that she can be herself in front of you.

As a girl in a committed relationship, I think the first one is arguably the most important. When you’re really invested in a person you want to know what life is like in their shoes, how life was before you met and the things that they experienced to shape them into the person you fell for. That to me is the best type of intimacy tbh. Also honesty and being up front communication is key.

Most Women: Personality first then Attraction. Most Men: Attraction first then Personality. If a woman likes your personality, then she will start to notice your physical features. If you don't meet her tastes then she will think you're not the real deal. Just friend zone you. If a man likes your features, he will try to figure out your personality and if it does not match or balance his, he will move on to the next woman he finds attractive. In the end both care about Appearance and Personality.

Otherwise you would have no possibility in understanding your partner. BUT your point of viewing yourself could change and your self confidence could grow with the right person if he makes you feel better.

It's true that you shouldn't rush love, but, and I may be completely wrong here, it sounds like you might have very vague definitions for, "love," and "relationships," etc. It kind of sounds like you're looking for only one thing (no, not the one thing that men are stereotypically looking for), and you may be excluding yourself from other experiences because you are hoping only for that, and it may be lowering your odds of success. To be clear, when you say, "I go into a relationship before knowing the man in a deeper level. I guess that's why all my relationships fail," that is impossible because a relationship involves two people and just as it takes two to start one it takes two to end one--so it's never 100% your fault. But what I do wonder is, for you, where does a relationship start, and what defines it? Looking at love rationally (I know, sounds like a terrible idea, right?), how can you possibly know someone at a deep level if you're NOT in a relationship with them? Isn't part of the point of a relationship to GET to that deeper level of understanding? It's not like you can be expected to be psychic, right? And when it comes to worrying about your relationships failing, there's two pretty obvious things it sounds like you might be ignoring when you say that: 1.) Most relationships fail. Statistically, it just doesn't work out the overwhelming majority of the time. It's comparatively really rare for a relationship to NOT eventually fail. 2.) and speaking of failing eventually, the real question is not about failure, but about success--what is success? What does it look like to you? Happy marriage until the day you die? Is that most extreme form of a relationship the only form that you define as successful? If so, maybe think about why you feel that way for a bit. If most relationships are going to fail eventually, and if a person is lucky they'll get exactly one "success," in the relationship department in their lifetime, does that mean everyone is bad at relationships, or that everyone is using the wrong method of measuring the success/meaningfulness of those relationships? Anyway, that's what I felt like I had to say. I'm not any kind of expert or anything, so don't worry too much about what I think, especially if it sounds like I'm way off base with my guessing at how you see things, but thanks for taking the time to read it nonetheless. Believe it or not this is a thing, I personally liked this guy but I stopped, my friends and family would tease me and say how cute we'd be and overall seemed to force the feeling onto me, I felt pressured to like them, so I did. At the time, I didn't recognize that was happening but I believe that is what happened now, having no longer been in that situation.
Yeah, I have friends who a relate. But I am cautious on who I tell who I like. The first time I told a friend I liked someone, she kept teasing me and even lied to my crush that this other guy likes me (he doesn't really) will beat him up if he sees him talking to me. We're still friends, but I haven't forgiven her, especially since she said "it's what I HAD to do."

E I understand how that feels. I was peer pressured by a senior at my school to go out with one of my good friends. Of course this senior doesn’t really have the best judgment, but she would constantly annoy me about it. She would bug me so much, to the point where my friend acted strange and awkward around me for a while. Luckily, we’ve gone back to normal, and the senior has stopped bugging me. I swear I've been pressured by my friends whenever someone likes me or if I have a phase on liking someone they've pressured me into dating people and it's because I don't really wanna get married, and people simply don't understand that. As a woman myself i think some girls go after "bad guys" because they were raised by a helicopter parenting style and have become sick of everything they do being prejudged and monitored and decided for them. By choosing a man or boy that is opposite of what their parents would choose they feel they are making an empowering choice by choosing for themselves when they are really sinking their own ship. Obviously that is not the only reason but it seems like often it is a really big one.

Kaiya 。。 Men can eat fancy and woman can eat sloppy but usually men arnt to concerned about how they look so they will usually eat faster (which can cause more of a mess) while woman can be more polite and eat slower so they dont dirty themselves. However this does not apply to everyone. I am male and although I eat slowly I'm still pretty sloppy but my brother eats quickly and is only a little sloppy, meanwhile my mom eats slowly and isn't sloppy. However it's possible the most common is that men eat more fast and woman more slow. Personally I'm not completely sure

After looking over them, the forgotten art of love seems good. I feel like I need the 6 tricks to stay positive. I don't get jealous, but being an introvert, it would be nice to see how other introverts deal with jealousy.
We both want to love and be loved, we both can be equally petty and generous, for every man I know there is a women that acts and thinks just like him. Men and women being diametrically different is a stereotype. It might have been different in the past when people were forced into their roles but now people can pretty much be whoever they want. Everything she said in this video can be applied to both sexes so it's good for women to know these things about men too. :)

As a male, these are requirements for me to fall in love too. I do not appreciate having my emotional depth demeaned by having the claim made that my love boils down to initial attraction. In fact, it’s downright insulting, and it makes me angry. Had this been a video on 5 ways PEOPLE fall in love, it would have been accurate, and had the initial attraction been labeled as a necessity for anyone in a relationship, this video would also be more accurate. Instead this video makes the implicit assumption that men are purely sex driven. Which is dead wrong. Men are emotional creatures too. However many men have been torn to shreds for being emotional and vulnerable, and therefore repress these emotions and their expressions as a means of protecting their physical wellbeing. Sadly this comes at the expense of their mental and emotional wellbeing. Sure, some men are purely sex driven, but let’s not set such horrible expectations of men anymore. It sets expectations that are emotionally imbalanced, such that men do not have their emotions pursued, and instead this sets the expectation of providing sex in exchange for love, as opposed to approaching love and sex in their own respective places, each from a place of mutual interest. Furthermore this video makes the assertion that men and women have differing fundamental emotional functions, which is also dead wrong. Love isn’t a different kind of love because of a difference in gender. Love is just love, like anger is just anger, or happiness is just happiness, or lust is just lust. Ultimately the line drawn between genders that is used to define differences in people, can not stop there. The more accurate truth is that this line defines the differences between two individuals, regardless of gender. Stop setting women up to believe that men are emotionally stupid. Instead set up people to know the difference between love and lust, and how to effectively communicate desire and intent.
Very well put. today, women are more sexually driven than most men. Feminism has ruined most women and I fear that won't change. Men are not sex obsessed as we fund the relationship we need many other assurances first as the courts are so focused on serving women and billing men all the costs, so emotionally we need to know whom we are entering into a relationship with.

Ugh, that's not true. Someone isn't a "woman at heart" just because they have behaviors that are stereotyped as belonging to women. And it's not clear from the video that "these points are not meant to be exactly too gender specific". The video starts out explicitly stating that it's *obvious* that women and men are wired differently, and that this is how women are wired.
"We eat differently..." Dunno about the rest of you, but I have seen humans only use the mouth to eat: man, woman, helicopter, and everything not listed. Some "differences" aren't real differences. We complicate things.
Some people aren't meant for relationships. I have social anxiety, grew up without a father but had a mother who is bipolar, and I can be mentally abusive to others at times. I walk very stiffly everywhere with my shoulders high up, and look very arrogant even though I'm not, so maybe you have seen someone like this before? Even worse is that I have somewhat attractive looks so women like to smile at me, but I cannot bring myself to smile back and turn my head away quickly. I also get sweaty and shake in social situations but I like to think that I'm good at hiding it by now. I honestly wish that I was ugly so women wouldn't try to flirt with me, and I wouldn't have to make them feel bad about themselves and/or have them hate me.

Me and my friend talk about mental traumas we have been through, I get attached, then I push her away as a defence mechanism to not let anything overpower what my priorities demand from me. Earlier I had expressed and confessed it, my friend left me, I became so scared and vulnerable for this time that I distanced myself so as to control the attraction as well as stay in touch.

Love is a very interesting concept since people can try to explain it, yet no one ever completely agrees. Love is different for all people just like many things in life. It is an extremely beautiful thing when found and extremely heartbreaking when lost. People who are in love generally wish to understand each other, want to know if they are a friend who can always stay true to them, and even though it can be difficult, they try their best to resolve a conflict when it arises. Conflict will always arise even when love is present. Though some may experience a kind of temporary blindness to some issues, the realization of those issues will always arise sooner or later, or they will somehow (though very rarely) fade away over time.

So I can do basic stuff at home with no problem but I'm too weak to have a girlfriend or to open up myself to someone. As a girl in a committed relationship, I think the first one is arguably the most important. When you’re really invested in a person you want to know what life is like in their shoes, how life was before you met and the things that they experienced to shape them into the person you fell for. I would say the opposite.. if you wanna build up a healthy relationship you have to love yourself first so that you know for yourself that you‘re a loveable person and that you understand why people could fall in love with you. It's true that you shouldn't rush love, but, and I may be completely wrong here, it sounds like you might have very vague definitions for, "love," and "relationships," etc.
It kind of sounds like you're looking for only one thing (no, not the one thing that men are stereotypically looking for), and you may be excluding yourself from other experiences because you are hoping only for that, and it may be lowering your odds of success.
To be clear, when you say, "I go into a relationship before knowing the man in a deeper level. I guess that's why all my relationships fail," that is impossible because a relationship involves two people and just as it takes two to start one it takes two to end one--so it's never 100% your fault. But what I do wonder is, for you, where does a relationship start, and what defines it? Looking at love rationally (I know, sounds like a terrible idea, right?), how can you possibly know someone at a deep level if you're NOT in a relationship with them? Isn't part of the point of a relationship to GET to that deeper level of understanding? It's not like you can be expected to be psychic, right? And when it comes to worrying about your relationships failing, there's two pretty obvious things it sounds like you might be ignoring when you say that:
1.) Most relationships fail. Statistically, it just doesn't work out the overwhelming majority of the time. It's comparatively really rare for a relationship to NOT eventually fail.
2.) and speaking of failing eventually, the real question is not about failure, but about success--what is success? What does it look like to you? Happy marriage until the day you die? Is that most extreme form of a relationship the only form that you define as successful? If so, maybe think about why you feel that way for a bit. If most relationships are going to fail eventually, and if a person is lucky they'll get exactly one "success," in the relationship department in their lifetime, does that mean everyone is bad at relationships, or that everyone is using the wrong method of measuring the success/meaningfulness of those relationships?
Anyway, that's what I felt like I had to say. I'm not any kind of expert or anything, so don't worry too much about what I think, especially if it sounds like I'm way off base with my guessing at how you see things, but thanks for taking the time to read it nonetheless. Best of luck to you in the future.

Believe it or not this is a thing, I personally liked this guy but I stopped, my friends and family would tease me and say how cute we'd be and overall seemed to force the feeling onto me, I felt pressured to like them, so I did. At the time, I didn't recognize that was happening but I believe that is what happened now, having no longer been in that situation.

The first time I told a friend I liked someone, she kept teasing me and even lied to my crush that this other guy likes me (he doesn't really) will beat him up if he sees him talking to me. As a woman myself i think some girls go after "bad guys" because they were raised by a helicopter parenting style and have become sick of everything they do being prejudged and monitored and decided for them. However this does not apply to everyone. I am male and although I eat slowly I'm still pretty sloppy but my brother eats quickly and is only a little sloppy, meanwhile my mom eats slowly and isn't sloppy. However it's possible the most common is that men eat more fast and woman more slow. Personally I'm not completely sure

As a male, these are requirements for me to fall in love too. I do not appreciate having my emotional depth demeaned by having the claim made that my love boils down to initial attraction. In fact, it’s downright insulting, and it makes me angry.
Had this been a video on 5 ways PEOPLE fall in love, it would have been accurate, and had the initial attraction been labeled as a necessity for anyone in a relationship, this video would also be more accurate. Instead this video makes the implicit assumption that men are purely sex driven. Which is dead wrong. Men are emotional creatures too. However many men have been torn to shreds for being emotional and vulnerable, and therefore repress these emotions and their expressions as a means of protecting their physical wellbeing. Sadly this comes at the expense of their mental and emotional wellbeing.
Sure, some men are purely sex driven, but let’s not set such horrible expectations of men anymore. It sets expectations that are emotionally imbalanced, such that men do not have their emotions pursued, and instead this sets the expectation of providing sex in exchange for love, as opposed to approaching love and sex in their own respective places, each from a place of mutual interest.
Furthermore this video makes the assertion that men and women have differing fundamental emotional functions, which is also dead wrong. Love isn’t a different kind of love because of a difference in gender. Love is just love, like anger is just anger, or happiness is just happiness, or lust is just lust. Ultimately the line drawn between genders that is used to define differences in people, can not stop there. The more accurate truth is that this line defines the differences between two individuals, regardless of gender.
Stop setting women up to believe that men are emotionally stupid. Instead set up people to know the difference between love and lust, and how to effectively communicate desire and intent.
Very well put. today, women are more sexually driven than most men. Feminism has ruined most women and I fear that won't change. Men are not sex obsessed as we fund the relationship we need many other assurances first as the courts are so focused on serving women and billing men all the costs, so emotionally we need to know whom we are entering into a relationship with.

Some people aren't meant for relationships. I have social anxiety, grew up without a father but had a mother who is bipolar, and I can be mentally abusive to others at times.
I walk very stiffly everywhere with my shoulders high up, and look very arrogant even though I'm not, so maybe you have seen someone like this before?
Even worse is that I have somewhat attractive looks so women like to smile at me, but I cannot bring myself to smile back and turn my head away quickly.
I also get sweaty and shake in social situations but I like to think that I'm good at hiding it by now.

Me and my friend talk about mental traumas we have been through, I get attached, then I push her away as a defence mechanism to not let anything overpower what my priorities demand from me. Same here, unfortunately I'm just too messed up to to do something,I have anxiety and depression, fortunately they don't hit me constantly,it depends, sometimes a few times a day or after a few days. So I can do basic stuff at home with no problem but I'm too weak to have a girlfriend or to open up myself to someone. I wanted to suicide myself many times,but I don't want to die,so I just stopped and looked at myself, maybe is hope,at least I'm healthy,I don't have a mother to support me and my father is not normal mentally. So I'm alone in this world. Still, sometimes I'm impressed that I can still laugh,I can eat and I enjoy what I have. I love music a lot,so I want to invest in audio equipment,I want to have an entire room just with audio gear, that's what makes me very happy. That's it,not everyone is lucky to have a family or a girlfriend or a true friend to play games with,like Minecraft,or to do a small party at home,there are people that will stay alone,humans adapt though,you can live alone with no problem but don't forget, especially if you have traumas and depression,these will hit unexpectedly and they will destroy you slowly.
