I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this lasagna because it didn’t have ricotta cheese, but seriously this is one of the best lasagna recipes I’ve ever had 🏆
@@IslandVibeCooking Made this and it was delicious! Thank you! I would adjust the amount of mozzerella cheese in the recipe though because 24 ounces (1.5 pounds,) was WAYYYY too much.
This is the best recipe. I never been one to have amazing cooking but I made it your way and it was amazing . Thank you for your wonderful recipe and your time making this for us
Thank you so much I’m attempting Lasagna the first time for some younger siblings of mine tonight, I’ll check back and let you know how everyone likes it!! 💕
I made roughly your recipe with what I had on hand. Used half ground beef and half breakfast sausage. For cheese I used shredded mozzarella and parmesan and it turned out amazing!
I love making my lasagna with ricotta, but am finding a lot of folks can't stand it. So I'm going to try it with the fresco cheese. I do put spinach in when using the ricotta. I wonder if adding spinach to the fresco would make that much of a difference in the taste.
I make lasagna for my family and they request it on special occasions, an absolute favorite! I am going to try your recipe even if it means we'll have a NEW favorite!! 🔥🔥😎👍
I will take out the onions since I can't stand the texture of onions but other than that I love this recipe... you can't go wrong with a lot of garlic. don't be afraid to really use it.
Looks awesome. My wife doesn't like the Ricotta (reminds her too much of cottage cheese, which she hates), so I'm definitely gonna try this Fresco brand crumbling stuff. I don't mind Ricotta, but even I don't like too much of that junk in my lasagna. It just gets a bit gross when it's thick, you know? There was a restaurant in my town here called Gondola's and they made a pretty "flat" lasagna, without Ricotta, and it was 🔥. Mine's even better and will be even better without that lumpy Ricotta in it. Thanks!
I don't think they sell that cheese where I live. What can I substitute it with? Also where can I buy the stove you use? You are a fantastic cook. Showed my son your video on the garlic shrimp and now he is hooked on your channel. Thank you! Oh and what kind of sause do I use?
Real lasagna does not have ricotta chees in it usually, and not even mozzarella. It has besciamella sauce and parmisan chees in it, there is no need to use eggs. Plus for the ragù sauce use chopped onion celery and carrots, and i reccomend salt pepper thime and bay leaves for the seasoning. Your dish looks great anyway and im sure it taste nice. Just keep cooking and never stop learning😊 learning😊
It looks good! Where do you get the cheese? I live in Texas, and the only Fresco Cheese down here is Queso Fresco, which is a crumbly Mexican Cheese! I also think you need at a 13"×9" lasagna pyrex dish! Yours looked so small in the video. When I seen the noodles hanging over the sides, I said she needs a larger dish! I would love to try your recipe on my friends and family! It looks delish!🤔🧐😉😊😁
@@marilynpeppers1356 No shit, Not everyone lives on UA-cam, especially elder people who wouldn’t know where to look because she didn’t mention it in the video white cheese it was she just said this cheese. It was a pretty rude statement.
I tried this recipe as is and there was not enough meat or cheese mixture AT all. I didn't have a smaller dish so I used my 9x13 maybe this is why? How small was this dish? I have to double this if I do this again. The meat was super dry, I had to add an entire bottle of sauce and more water which diluted the flavor. It's in the oven now. We'll see how it goes. If it's not good I'm going to be so sad. This is the only food I had for dinner as I haven't gone shopping yet for anything else besides this for tonight. I'm crossing my fingers.
So happy to see a recipe without ricotta. Thank you
❤️❤️❤️
Same…I don’t like ricotta so I’m glad we can substitute
Same
Thank you! I hate ricotta cheese but love lasagna. Thanks for a recipe without it

Yessssss finally....ppl think im weird but i can not stand ricotta cheese lol

This Lasagna recipe looks delicious!😋😋😋 Have got to try it!
This was so good, I love lasagna both ways. Thanks for the recipe!
That lasagna looks amazing 😋!!
OMG so glad I came across your video... didn't have Ricca but had Queso Fresco...Yay!
This is the second recommendation for lasagna. I should make this
Thank for a recipe without rocotta
Looks good, but 1 question what was the brown liquid that you put in?
Worcestershire sauce
What to type of cheese have you used in place of ricotta cheese?
I can't wait to make this!
I love making my lasagna with ricotta, but am finding a lot of folks can't stand it. So I'm going to try it with the fresco cheese. I do put spinach in when using the ricotta. I wonder if adding spinach to the fresco would make that much of a difference in the taste.
Looks delicious..but what was the sauce you used?
What can you sub the W sauce for if you don’t have it
Will definitely try it!!
This recipe is amazing my children loved it❤😊
Looks amazing thank you

Do I have to drain the oils off before the tomato paste
What's the second sauce that's black?
That’s what I was wondering too. She didn’t include it in the list of ingredients needed either. I’m assuming Worcestershire sauce
Loveeee lasagna in my house we need to make it at least 3 times a month 🥰
I'm going to use this recipe. I usually put spinach instead of parsley. Would this work? I also add garlic to the cheese.
I served this recipe in the church cafeteria today and everybody loved it. Thank you.
Always good 😊
Delicious!
I can't wait to try this without ricotta!
Finally, a recipe without ricotta cheese

How can I get a copy of the recipe?
Thanks for this recipe as my stomach cannot take ricotta cheese lbs making this now
Very nice thanku
I am trying that tomorrow.
Life saver 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, don't like ricotta, will definitely try this recipe, my problem will be minimizing the garlic bread

God bless your and your family beautiful love your videos ❤️❤️❤️
I made this recipe wow really really good!!!
cooking this today ty !
want to attempt to make this. What is "W" sauce? Assuming Worcestershire sauce? Just want to be certain. TY!
Yes Worcestershire sauce and the ingredients are in the description box
Yummy!
Thank you
What is the name of the cheese??
How much tomato sauce did you pour in ? I checked the description box and it didn’t say 😢
The food looks good but I’m wondering where did you purchase your pot from? Love the colors😍
I purchased them from Sam’s Club but I have a similar on list on my Amazon store front you can take a look at it www.amazon.com/shop/islandvibecooking

Looks so tasty, would like to see it made with ricotta cheese
Will do
Looks good! I’ll have to try it out. May alternate layers of noodles with thin slices of zucchini.
P.s. calling it “W Sauce” is brilliant....imma have to steal that one.
Thank you. This is just what I was looking for because I don't have ricotta today 🙃 😒 😇💕
How did it turns out
8 oz tomato roasted garlic..? . Also how much Worcester sauce?
This looks delicious what size baking dish did you use?
9x9 I believe
@@IslandVibeCooking thank you
@@buch1126 you’re so welcome
Not much for Ricotta either so I use large curd cottage cheese. Different texture is what helps. Anyone else?
❤️
I do cover it, however take off the foil abt the last 10 min O dont like over cooked cheese on the top
Does anyone know what the black sauce she put in the meat ?
It’s W sauce (Worcestershire)
Hey you said “w” sauce I’m guessing it’s worcestershire sauce?? You didn’t mention it in your ingredient list
ThankYou for this because I forgot to buy ricotta cheese 🤦🏽♀️
Yes let em know 💯😇
Purr
Can you do fried rice.
I had this yesterday
Yes because sorry ricotta taste nasty I use cottage cheese instead I know it's not the Italian way but it's my way lol and this looks delicious 😋

Queso Fresco is what is used in this recipe. If you click on the arrow below the video, the recipe is there. Pay attention.

How did your lasagna turn out??
i don't eat lasagna but this looks delicious i wonder what her stuffed shells would be like
But you didnt told which spices and how much🥴 you only said put in seasoning.
Thought this was a recipe without cheese!!!
It is without "ricotta cheese".
I dont use ricotta in my lasagna. Always use a sour cream mixture instead
I need Ricotta!
No problem add it in
I never put ricotta cheese in my seafood lasagna
U made this 2 years ago
And, here you are, 2 years later.
Girl can we see you cook and eat your food at the end?
Fyi YA DON'T pre boil your lasagna!!!
No need too!
Try it!
Plus no more runny lasagna, better flavor!
Another secret Cottage cheese,
You have to add the ricotta sis, just a lil for the full experience haha 😄
Lasagna to oily
