This song goes to show that complex riffs and rhythms are not necessary for a song to be great. They do throw in a sudden tempo change, however, which works beautifully. It isn't tricky to do, though.

I don’t know why Christian doesn’t do more leads/guitar solos, he sounded great in that guitar solo and pretty much had it down note for note.
It's not Christian ! If I remember well, Christian's wife gave birth and he was replaced by another guitarist which looks an awful lot like him (and he is french too if I remember well :D).

Same crowd must be in the Taylor Swift concert i mean they act the same.....i remember as a 16 year old metal head in the 90s going to a slayer concert and all i could see was legs flying around just scary stuff and i loved it and look at this shit now .....
There may be some truth to that. I imagine that some Swifties are Deftones fans, and I don’t see anything wrong with that. A large portion of the crowd may have been 16 in the 90s, and that may be why you don’t see them acting like 16 year olds. Just a thought.
Yeah glad I didn’t grow up in this era during my prime concert going years, everybody with their phones out, nobody living in the moment. I guess I’m thankful somebody is recording so we can watch on UA-cam, but they’re really missing out on the moment. I think if I was a band I would just have people either hired or friends or family to record every show and let it be known it’ll be posted maybe to their own website maybe exclusively (still free to watch, but to drive traffic to their site) and then after a certain period of time maybe it then gets loaded to UA-cam. With the crowd knowing the shows are being recorded they might decide to finally put their phones down and just rock out.
I love your idea. If it could be done practically, I’m sure it would reduce the amount of phones out. There will always be some. Ah… if only…

I like deftones and had their good run. But honestly chino has an engineered voice. That’s why they’re trash live. I’ve been to many of their concerts over the years. But chino sucks live now. He isn’t the same since white pony era. His voice took so much damage. They sound good in CD form. But now. They even butcher their own songs bro. Sorry hate to break it to you.

he cups the mike like an amateur making his vocals unintelligible lol. . I saw this tour in Indianapolis and had to leave halfway through deftones set because they sounded so bad compared to gojira who really should've headlined instead of opened.
You’re implying Chino is an amateur, but he certainly isn’t, given his experience and success. His cupping of the mic must be a stylistic choice then. He must be doing something right or people would stop going to the shows. I assume you aren’t a Deftones fan if you’re leaving halfway through the set.
I hadn't heard their music until I saw them live. I'm a huge metalhead and they really didn't bring a good performance. it was mediocre... everything from the vocals to the guitar parts. I went in open minded. it's not a stylistic choice to muffle your sound to the point where your vocals sound like they're being recorded from behind a blanket lol. it's just cheap and lazy and a disservice to the people there. I wasn't impressed and think most people there were to see them because of TikTok and trends. bet if you asked most people there to name 5 songs they couldn't @@AnAnonymousIdiot
I don’t see anything wrong with people becoming fans from TikTok exposure, but they can probably name 3 songs. 😂 We may need to agree to disagree on the mic cupping. But I could be completely biased since I’ve been a fan for a long time. Gojira and Deftones are both amazing bands, and I love them both, but there is no way Deftones are opening for Gojira.
