WOW this game sucks. Huge thanks to all of you that showed up while I streamed this game. Seriously 70 concurrent viewers is crazy! I love hanging out with you guys and if you want to hang out in the future come give a follow! www.twitch.tv/jarek4gamingdragon
thank you for your sacriface, so we don't have to play it
it's truly an abomination
I have a simple answer on why people watch other people playing bad games. I'd rather watch someone else to play terrible title, especially if that someone else can provide some entertainment on their own, rather than just experience this crap myself, asking myself about my life decisions.
Actually the game is from 2008 not 2009 but still looks like crap
Please play exodus from the earth
Hahahahahahaha!!!
I remember playing this game endlessly when I was like 12-13 and thinking it was the best game ever.
Same
same too
For real lol I think we all loved this game as kids
I did as well. Loves getting all the environmental kills
Also same
>A then obscure diplomat
Yea the the 1st lord of the admiralty was super obscure with being responsible for Gallipoli and all that.
He was relieved from his post following Gallipoli.
“Obscure” is definitely the wrong word to use there. “Controversial” would’ve fit better.
I love how bad Turning Point is, it was a running gag with my friends for years.
But I remember playing this game online at launch, and being the only person in the entire world trying to find a match.
Also, did you find the giant banana easter egg?
I did not but I did just look up videos of it. Makes me wonder how many easter eggs we've missed in legendary or how many people actually want to go search for them haha
American Nazis included?
... I've gotten so used to my awful laptop playing games on low that I geniuenly don't feel any sort of disgust when I see how this game looks... Man, I'm poor.
Same
Graphics aren't everything. I've got a gaming PC that can run the latest releases on high settings, but it's been gathering dust for six months as I downsized to a smaller place and don't have room for it (also poor). I'm now playing a load of great games on my 360 that I didn't get round to back in the day, and I'm having just as much fun.
As long as games play well I'll still love them. But same tho lol
Factual correction: This was released in Feb 2008, not in 2009.
I got this on sale for $1.00 online. After I had played through Legendary I wanted to see how this game was. I never ran into the strange bugs with characters getting stuck or teleporting. What I do remember was the unique grapple deaths you could inflict on the Nazis. That was the one mechanic the game really got right. Other than that, it was a WWII shooter that was rushed to release on PC and it showed. Regarding the alternate history arc... consider how badly it would have went for the allies if the US did not have access to the British airbases. Germany's ability to manufacture for its war machine was pounded into the stone age by B-17's flying overhead. The United States was able to keep manufacturing new planes, tanks, and munitions with relative impunity. I'm not saying Germany would have conquered the world if they overran the UK, but the war definitely would have went differently. How differently nobody can say, but it's a "good enough" premise to set up the "what if" scenario for the game. I found the game enjoyable despite its obvious flaws, but not particularly memorable.
When I played Wolfenstein: The New Order, I realized I was basically playing what Turning Point could have been. Of course, shooting Nazi scum is always better when BJ Blazkowicz is behind the trigger!
9:19 is that robert deniro? I love how you look at it twice.
It’s so nice to see your analysis videos, they’re quite interesting.
0:00 Kinda freaking out because when you mentioned this game in the last video this is the exact image that I remember from the game, probably because at this scene my mother was sick... strange thing to remember :/
I dident know you had a gaming channel I watch your airsoft videos back in the day I remember when you and crazyncman had a feud lol good days
This game had an amazing glitch where the shotgun would always glitch and double fire. Also when you would shoot an enemy with a shotgun the enemies would just bob up and nose dive.
Remember renting this from blockbuster when I was 11 and played the crap out of it
Call of Duty World at War PS2 was pretty bad it might have been my tv but I could not play the first mission as you could not see anything
I have fond memories of this game! I tried it as a free downloadable demo. It wasn't a Beta that I had to pre-order. It wasn't presented as something that will be upgraded overtime based on a roadmap and running it wasn't reliant upon perpetual internet connection, nor did it involve random trolls, hackers, 12 year old aspiring neonazis talking shit. It was a demo, I played it, it sucked balls so I never bought it. Ah, the good ol' days.
Me: Mom I wanna play Wolfenstein
Mom: we have a Wolfenstein at home.
*the Wolfenstein at home*
Seriously this has a promising plot. A remake can be done with better graphics, sound, game length, and storyline.
Because I like alternative historical concepts I had some fun playing this game, but I do not
TP FOL is a good example of "Great Concept, horrible execution"
Statue of liberty is bombed in the opening cutscene but is standing at the end when the nuke goes off?
i think the arm was blown off but even with that the statue has its arm at the end sooooo
No there is flag flying over it, swastika can be seen
I have some great memories playing this with my brother when he was still around which is why i don't hate this game lmao.
I miss him
BWEH HUEH thats nice
@@MRVAST-op7sg ^Human Garbage
May he rest in Peace
@@spartan11mcxbox I think he meant the memories of him and his brother playing it not the fact that his brother is gone
That's really cool man. Seriously.
Nice video as usual. Btw you should definitely try Shellshock 2 Blood Trails. It's time for some 'nam.
How about Vietcong or Men of Valor. Decent Vietnam War FPS games unlike that one.
Shellshock 2 had a fun premise, but definitely not the talent or budget.
Sucks we never got that Vietnam War Call of Duty Sledgehammer Games wanted to make instead of Advanced Warfare.
Genome Soldat honestly sledgehammer’s writing never struck me as that great. Sure people don’t play call of duty game for the story but geez some of it is super shit. Or maybe I’m alone and it isn’t just for me lol
Oh hell yeah. Shellshock 2. Such a bad game but goddamn I loved it when I was a kid. Easy 1000 gamerscore on 360 too.
@@ericbrown175 nahhh I can agree with that dude, you ain't alone hah
Oh man, that game was so weird and very bad. Not that the first one was anything to write home about.
This game was a guilty pleasure of mine. It did Wolfenstein The New Colossus before it was cool.
Exactly I just fell in love with the concept An the first 10 or so mins of the intro mission running down that building lol
@@djjamesporter4740 Yes, and of course it was shitty but hey it was still a cool concept. Just executed very poorly. I kind of wish someone would remake it and add more stuff to it and polish it and it would be a great game im sure.
@Thibault Derese You stalking me or something?
Urban Chaos: Riot Response, Man that’s a throwback, I remember playing that game. Was probably one of my favorite PS2 games.
Fun fact about Urban Chaos, I was super young and my grandmother (rip) got it for me and told me to only play it when I was at her house. I showed my girl (parents friends daughter) at the time the game she went downstairs and ratted, my mother took and sold the game that day smh 🤧
@@laxmatt96 man that's rough
God, that game is very underrated. It kills me that we'll never see Rocksteady do another FPS now that they're forever doing Batman games.
That game was such a huge underrated experience. I absolutely loved just acquiring medals for upgrades by exploding gang members' heads open with headshots and electrocuting them with my taser until they flopped over unconscious.
I think Turning Point: Fall of Liberty had a number of interesting ideas which failed to evolve into cohesive experience. Perhaps the developers were excessively constrained by budget and technical knowledge? Anyway, those gun sounds triggered my Medal of Honor: Frontline PTSD.
The MG42 in that game that killed Panzer 4s
The same developers that made this game, Spark Unlimited, also made "Legendary," which came out around the same time and was actually fairly decent. So, I don't know why there's such a big gap in quality, maybe the publisher had something to do with it by failing to provide enough resources and development time. "Turning Point" was published by Codemasters, and "Legendary" was published by Gamecock Media Group.
@@NexusKin I wouldn’t be surprised. It felt like Codemasters was devoting most of their resources to their racing game Race Driver Grid, which came out at the same time as this game did.
@@brawler5760 That's the bizarre thing when their not-racing games varied in quality from good to VERY bad. Their Operation Flashpoint was good in terms of being a tactical FPS and Damnation, a Gears-wannabe tryhard which was decent enough. Had something to do with individual studios more.
Beating this game took all of my lifeforce out of me. It was one of the most draining experiences of my life, and I’m surprised my 11 year-old self survived the experience.
how shit was the zeppelin i swear i had at least 5 panic attacks getting through that
FrozenJuiced curtain It literally took me like five hours to get through that zeppelin section alone. By the time I beat the game, I didn’t have a soul anymore.
Funnily enough, I still own the game. I’m looking at my PS3 copy on the shelf right now. I’m keeping it as a trophy - I’m one of the few people that managed to beat it.
@@beefjerky007 yeh beating it was one challenge i will never finish but i respect the fuck out of you for beating it hands down mate
If you wanna play a hard war game on PS3 that's actually good definitely check out medal of Honor airborne I'm still stuck on level 2
@@demonjmh who do the ladies love the most
Dispite all of its flaws (of which it has MANY), I love this game. Replay it ocasionaly. Best was I can describe it is like playing a badly drawn comic book.
Ngl I loved playing it when I was younger
Love the Offaly crest.....
I remember playing a TON of ww2 low budget games when I was a kid...and even then I thought some of them were awful. Pacific Storm and Battle of Europe are two games you should definitely look into!
Oh god I owned those.....
I have fond memories of this. I loved the bass-boosted Tommy gun lmao
The MP50 with the integrated flashlight was my personal favorite.
Since we seem to enjoy watching you stream bad games, would you be willing to do Beverly Hills Cop for the PS2? That game’s badness has to be seen to be believed.
Oh, and this video was enjoyable, as usual. Keep it up!
Hol' up, there was a game for the Beverly Hills Cop films?
Sounds like this game was stuck in development hell and was likely produced during the PS2 era. That, or this was just that lazily made.
"Legendary" was made by the exact same developers, Spark, and that game was a whole lot better than this one, so you might be right.
"Worst gun sounds ive ever heard"
Ever play Warhammer 40k Fire Warrior?
Terrible auto aim too.
Its quiet...
What a horrible way to experience Warhammer 40k for the first time, but then my eyes were opened to Dawn of War
Don’t forget the stock sound effects
It’s as bad as running out of toilet paper on taco Tuesday
Does that include the baby wipes?
I'm going home.
I make my own tacos, never had a toliet problem from my own tacos Why do you Americans keep eating garbage taco bell shitting your self and you guys still go back to taco bell to eat that garbage when you guys damn well know what's going to happen.
Its as bad as your face
@@trotskyvoinovich8307
I would say you are wrong but...you're not.
I actually enjoyed this game it was difficult..
Just a game suggestion - Area 51 Black Site.
Why not Area 51 one as well ;)
Dakkyz I still play that one, lol
Yes plssss
It’s me, the “Clive Barker’s Jericho” guy.
I think that game would be perfect for this channel.
that game is a fucking trip
Jericho is a great game, mind you.
In the world of Alt history games, Wolfenstein the New Order this is surely not. Understatement I know.
Yeah, this is basically just a really bad Call Of Duty knockoff.
Just occurred to me, MOH Airborne would be a good one, released around the hayday of MW for COD but stuck with WW2. Less linear than normal WW2 fpss
MOH Airborne is like "Zelda: Ocarina Of Time" compared to this dumpster fire.
Have you reviewed Duke Nukem Forever, the Sniper Ghost Warrior Trilogy or Homefront 2?
Jarek likely won't do SGW since he said he hates stealth games.
Aliens: Colonial Marines, Gearbox's 2013 "masterpiece" that lived up to all the hype and promises...
Oh boy
Played Homefront 2 entered a map where one of the objectives was to kill an enemy enemy became immortal refused to die made game impossible to beat took game back.
@@highcouncil1302 That game was horribly buggy.
I think Hour Of Victory is even worse than this
Yeah, that game was probably the most generic, lazy, clunky and poorly programmed WW2 FPS game I've ever played in my life.
Not a bad game buuuuut
Can you review freedom fighters?
Review shellshock 2 blood trails and rouge warrior pretty please
Dude hell yes, i loved both those.
loved how you played Flashpoint in the background legendary has a LEGENDARY soundtrack
Dude you should play turok (2008). That would be an interesting one.
Turok paid for and published by Disney. Disney made an M rated FPS. That is hilarious.
He already did that one. I think.
I remember playing this and getting motion sickness because of horrible frame rate and laughing too hard. I actually enjoyed it not because if the fact it was good, but the glitches we're just hilarious.
You should try a game called Shellshock 2: Blood Trails. Its a Vietnam game, but its also zombie game? It's really weird.
Made by Rebellion too around the same time they did Rogue Warrior.
Funny how most of their games besides the Sniper Elite, AVP, and maybe Judge Dredd Vs. Death turned out hilariously bad.
Shellshock 2 sucked ass, I did not finish the last level as the difficulty spike just went through the roof.
I have never really played the game when I was younger, but I keep seeing it everywhere for some reason. Well, probably because it sucked. But what a strange way to follow up your Vietnam sim.
@One John Fitz All, Shellshock 1 was made by Guerilla Games devs of Killzone. Shellshock 2 made by Rebellion...
Love these videos. Got nostalgic for Timeshift and went down the rabbit hole of all your videos, I really appreciate all these memorable and obscure FPS games being given the spotlight, for better or worse.
Timeshift is a lot better than this game.
Back in my younger days, I would go to the clearance section of Target and buy like all the games there for pc cause they were dirt cheap. I bought this one and actually didn't think it was that bad lol.
Watching your twich stream introduced me to this game and it is shit and your talking made it better
I remember reading the IGN magazine that featured this and Far Cry 2 as the big games of the summer. How time flies.
At least Far Cry 2 is actually an amazing experience that still holds up today, unlike this game.
9:18 Gman is dead, that is why we do not have HL3 :(
Hahahaha
Eyyy Freeman. You gonna do that thign right, badda bing badda boom, Ashes...
Oh shit.......
That actually looks like him.
3:21 that was pretty bad ass tho
You should se how rough the 360 version that i played was, i had to reload certain checkpoints because it wouldn't let me do what i was supposed to do sometimes. The framerate is also really jumpy.
They re-skinned C&C Renegade.... must have, the guns sound the same!!!
Did you review Black on the PS2? It’s a great game.
You made a very good point about pirating abandonware. If there is no legal way to buy a new copy of the game physical or digital, then sharing files is the only way to preserve the game for people to play in the future.
I just bought a physical copy off Amazon for my Xbox 360 when I first got it.
Its a shame it can’t even have that cool of weapons
Why don't you do a video review on the game Black ? It was one of my favourite games on the PS2.
it was so impressive back then
I know right ? I mean it had better graphics and shooting mechanics than most games back in that era.
I couldn’t get past the first mission because it crashes every time the truck moves to let you into the subway
Ah, my favorite Nazi ballet simulator!
I remember playing this on my Mom's ex-boyfriends PS3 a long time ago and I dont remember it looking this fucking shitty, wow it's bad. I used to think it was a decent game....boy was I wrong. I think the concept is cool though, think that is what drew me in in the first place.
One day Jarek should play good games. 👀👌
Only when he reviews all the bad ones
@@iamwhoyoucall2329 like the AVGN?
Please review Shellshock 2. Holy hell that game was so bad I did not finish the last level as the difficulty spike just went through the roof.
REfan2002 I second this!
I remember that one level where it starts you in a jungle/swamp full of zombies without most of your weapons sucking too.
It did! Rebellion makes good games but Shellshock 2 sucked major ass.
I actually have that game. The last level was hard in the beginning with all the zombies swarming you, but once you found the M60 machine gun, it was a lot more manageable.
@@NexusKin
Not even the M60 could save me.
It's only £1 and only 3 hours - I think I am going to play it just to see what New York invaded looks like
So it turns out this game did in fact have a steam release. However, it was removed in 2014 steamdb.info/app/12720/history/
3:17 that scene was pretty cool, though
3 hours!? Lol Angry Joe would've had a field day with this game's shittiness
I believe I actually have a Copy of this Game 😂 never played it, Probably never will.
remember this game ,just dont remember if i did finish it ,i remember being super hard back then
I legit enjoyed this game when I was younger, I didn’t even know there was a PC version. Maybe I’ll “get a copy” and try it on PC
Literally just got done with your, Legendary video.... Good timing... Grabbing the popcorn for this one 😂
At least Legendary was relatively better than this one.
So this was the inspiration for cyberpunk 2077 timestamp :40
No mater what anyone says... I will always have a place in my heart for this game.
I remember seeing the demo for this and being amazed with how the graphics looked since it was one of the first Xbox 360 games if I’m not mistaken
James bond 007 review please.
Speaking of Urban Chaos i would love to see a video on it
Already did it
I played the demo version of this game on Xbox 360
Having just read the title, I thought this was a propaganda game made by Turning point USA.
Honestly, even that may have been better than this.
American Nazis get swapped to antifa because... Nazis in the USA.
Wolfenstein is better than this trash.
But is it worse than hunt the Freeman?
Hah I played the demo of this on the 360. I forgot about it till now. Hahah I avoided this like the plague.
Wolfenstein 3d looks prettier than this does, and that's not even a joke
Try Damnation! I remember it got really bad reviews..I still liked it, just how I somehow liked this game.
I liked Damnation as well. We're probably the only 2 that did!!!
I was given a copy of this game as a gift from a family member who knew nothing about gaming.
I played it... and good... lord. It is just... so bad.
Reminds me of stories of grandparents buying crappy video games from the 1 dollar bin for their grandkids on their birthdays or Christmas. They had fake a smile and pretend they appreciate it while also having to play the video game while granny is there to see her grandchild happy. She won't leave until she sees that big smile!
Check out "Blacksite: Area 51" ;)
Am I the only one who really likes this game?
I played the demo back in the day and was really blown away by being able to look up and see all the ships flying overhead. Seeing the steelbook in used shops always enticed me to want to pick it up, but one day I was able to get the regular edition for $1 brand new. I played 10 minutes beyond the demo, couldn't pass wherever I was at, and regretted my purchase. I love collecting games and have never sold, traded, or given one away in the 25 years I've been gaming, but this one almost made me reconsider doing so.
Despite all that, I think I'm finally going to try finishing it now.
I’m remember playing this in the hospital while I was slowly dying, didn’t play it much because the pain was unbearable.
I actually liked this game when I was little and I don’t know why I did
Same
Pretty sure this was one of my first ps3 games and I loved it as a kid for some reason and the steel case was awesome
I almost feel like your channel has sort of become the Red Letter Media of FPS games. You access the worst, most obscure outdated games to try out or review and people are intrigued by the trash you subject yourself too. I feel like you should be rewarded as much for trying GOOD games but this is one of the only channels I've seen that covers such obscure titles. Idk where else to find this kind of content tbh.
yep its awfull...i had it for ps3 back in 2010...found it in a dvd club somewhere in athens for 3 euros and thought what the hell?!i should have eaten a big mack instead
Bad games are janky and funny and you can share the comedy with other people so it’s compulsive viewing. It’s even better when you can laugh and chat with the one playing it
I like how you played the theme song to Legendary over this video. Same company, but Legendary is actually better lol
Damn, I remember when I first heard about this game, it sounded absolutely cool - in concept. Back then I had a very crappy PC, so I couldn't play it at launch, and basically forgot about this game for years, even when I eventually got a decent computer years later. After watching this review I'm so glad I never bothered to even torrent this game at some point, hahaha
I remember when this came out and I loved CoD: WaW. I semi-excitedly downloaded and played the demo, and deleted it.
If a game about killing Nazis in America were to be released today? It would likely be controversial in... America. Yeah, I thought the whole "is killing Nazis bad" question was settled 74 years ago, but you know what they say about history repeating...
I bought this game at a pawn shop around 2011 alongside Halo 3. I played a whole two missions, got about halfway into mission 3 and died. I thought "No biggie, it'll take me back to a recent checkpoint"..... *It took me back to the start of the level.* I noped the fuck out of that game and sold it at a Vintage Stock. The game is so bad that they have like three copies sitting on their shelf, and I'm 99% certain my copy is among them.
shows liberty statue break after bomb run,
ends with bomb explode near completely fine statue of liberty
I remember playing the demo of this game. It did felt cheap. But I live the idea of it. Just the executiinbwas bad. Lijed the beginningvwhwre your hero is a construction worker and looks down and sees tiny oeookw and cars moving.
It's sad to know that this was made by the same people who made the original Medal of Honor console trilogy.
That being said, the one redeeming quality this game does have is Michael Giacchino's score.
Actually those games were developed internally by Electronic Arts. The developers behind this game, Spark Unlimited, actually made Call Of Duty Finest Hour.
@@NexusKin Spark Unlimited consisted of largely the same core group of developers that made up the Dreamworks Interactive MoH team. They left shortly after Spielberg sold DWI to EA, and after finishing the contractually obliged MoH Frontline under the EA Los Angeles moniker. Many moved to Spark Unlimited, some went to Lucasarts. A few stayed at EA LA.
Honestly I enjoyed playing this game. I was like 12 or 13 at the time so the nostalgia probably wouldn't have aged well, but I didn't think it was bad even in hindsight. Just mediocre.
This game is special to me regardless of how bad it might be because it was the first game i had on my ps3 back in the day.
At least the soundtrack was salvagable, as it was composed by Michael Giacchino of all people! Its just a shame its barely audiable with the gun sounds blasting over it regardless how much you change the settings.
