Another great vid as always! I previously recommended Wolfenstein Enemy Territory and it was awesome seeing you play, explore and teach us the history of it, many things I didn't know myself! I have another great recommendation, a game called "Tremulous" that was released back in 2006! It's a very unique game, almost MOBA like, where you either play as a Human or Alien, trying to take each others base/nest out. It has a ton of depth, with different creatures you can mutate into, or different weapons and defenses for both. Would be super awesome to see you play and cover that! I'll reply this to your pinned comment and make an actual comment, and can message you on Twitter soon about it :)

Red Orchestra 2 :( I wish to go back to 2014 and relive the glorious days of this game again. Especially the Heroes of the West mode. Remember also playing a game clled Ace of Spades which was a really cool little game before the devs got greedy, completely changed the entire game and monetized it. Was very sad to watch this happen.
I'm dreading the day I see the dead game that really broke my heart, Beyond the Wire, on this series. It was one of the best WW1 games i ever played, and the only one besides BF1 that wasnt just a cycle of dying to a guy i couldnt see over and over again. But for some reason, it just died in a few months.
Sad finally seeing RO2 on here. So many good memories of that game, but Rising Storm 2 split the player base quite a bit. I loved doing the campaign maps for RO2 where you had to take territory by winning each maps in a long back and forth until one team ultimately won the campaign hours in. Squad Leader was my position of choice, providing a solid spawn point and assisting the Team Leader with high value target marks for artillery. That or grabbing a sniper and getting a flank position overlooking common defense points, pelting the enemy high value targets to stop them from getting a foothold.
That is the eternal fate of every indie tactical FPS. Sequel comes out bit after previous game is fixed, splits player base, but almost always doesn't get everyone from previous game on board because upon release new game is a buggy mess.
Antimatter/Tripwire actually intended to port RO2/RS1 to Rising Storm 2's unreal engine build but development on the game fell through when Antimatter was sold off. What especially unfortunate is that they released the game on Epic and broke a bunch of stuff to the point where it's actually in a more broken state than it was at release.
Battlefield Heroes was a game I was so sad for when it went away. It was ahead of its time, mixing in hero based gameplay and battlefield's conquest mode. Years ago, RisingHub was still new, and wasnt really ready for play. But seeing that its in a much better state, Im going to have to check it out.
God I miss Battlefield Heroes. It was so fun. It's so tragic because it could survive perfectly these days. Back then, surviving on cosmetics was a no go. But now? Easy. Btw there's no gear stats, unless the private server added it. The original just had cosmetics and P2W healing items.
Man you unlocked some childhood memories with battlefield hero’s, i used to play that shit on the daily when i was younger, together with my cousin. Thank you for reminding me of those days and putting a smile on my face. :)
I just want to thank you for all the work you have done. I think it is important that these games and communities are remembered and have some type of record. We need to preserve our video game history. I am so happy I stumbled upon your channel. Wish you the best

I never played Minecraft but I do love the history side of it. Growing up before the internet I like the old side of the internet. Netscape, Neoplanet, Geocities, Excite, all that stuff. It's great to see old stuff still around somewhere online.
I also got Red Orchestra 2 official recently. Incredibly cheap and a great experience, doing Banzai charges in Saipan and clearing tight rooms in Stalingrad is an amazing experience, incomparable. Plus, you get 2 free hats in TF2. 10/10.
dude you have helped me find my favorite childhood game that i thought i'd never see again. i've binged most of your recent videos and so so so many of my old favorites that died have seen new life from your content and its so good to be able to play them once again. thank you.
No way you did miscreated. I spent so much time on that game. The hidden bases the wars and how scary it was. I absolutely loved this game and spent so much time on it. Then the Chinese came in hacked the game and helped kill it.
Boundary was extremely fun during the beta, I just didn’t have the money at the time for it and it’s sad to see how it fell. It was such a unique shooter for a newer game
Happy New Year Rye! Seeing Battlefield Heroes really made me smile man, I used to play that game sooo much cause other games didn't run on my old ass rusty rig haha
Love this videos of exploration. Some of the games looks really interesting. And one more thing. Your voice makes me feel relaxed. Cheers from Czech Republic.
Thanks for finally coveing RO2, many memories on this game and I still play it sometimes, usually you can find full servers during the evening. Also boundary looks fun
I miss the good old days while playing Battlefield Heroes also watching my brother play it since we had to share the pc around that time still, there were even like tournaments happening, if i remember correctly between a few european countries and also just between people from my country, my older brother was even a part of a few of them. RIP Battlefield Heroes one of the best games i've played in my childhood and still missed to this day. EDIT: I even found 2 old videos from 10-11 years ago, because i remembered that one of his teammates filmed videos and i saw my brothers in game nickname.

So glad you get to talk about BFH. It was my childhood game with a friend of mine and we had such a fun time playing it. It was fun, stylish, kind of the premices of actually every F2P games with battle pases and expensive weapons and skins. Along with games like TF2. It was one of the greatest shooting games I've ever played
Worlds Adrift was an amazing game, had so much potential, but few know about it. Problems it had were: large amount of glitches/bugs, and towards the end there were PvP issues with a massive end-game clan harassing newer players and beginners who had absolutely no chance against them..
Miscreated was so good when it was on. Damn, that one hurts me the most thinking about how the dev team for that game dropped the ball. It was so good and had so much potential.
I'll always remember the great times I had playing Rising Storm 1 when it came out, easily sunk at least a hundred hours into it alone not counting Red Orchestra.
Boundary can definitely still be saved. Make it F2P, make a port to next-gen consoles, add crossplay and enjoy a moderate to high success. If The Finals can be popular, Boundary can too.
Missed your content my man, awesome to see you carrying on with this series though, must be tough sometimes running around giant empty games😂 appreciate the effort youre putting in keep it up bro
This serial make me remember a feeling long ago As watch a dying game, lesser and lesser every day, that game was the whole of my child hood, I can't remember what game, it will be wonderful if i can recall that game and play it one more time, But time, we have to grow up and suddenly now take this serial i just wonder ... when i have lost that joy and forgot the game i was love the most? Time a quick, quick as hell, now i have my old child, i'm old now So much frustrating Thank you for your videos, this mean a lot. I will keep watching this serial, maybe some day my childhood game coming up.
I remember the good old Battlefield heroes times with my school friends. Damn it was pay to win but still as a kid hella fun. The first game I reaaaallly grinded. Good times
I really like the new editing style. 👍 And might as well recommend playing Pandemic Express it was a pretty cool game that seemed pretty fun, too bad it didn't last long.
Next I'd suggest Natural Selection or Natural Selection II. Both had some massive player bases in their prime and have dwindled down to a few handfuls of players (especially NS1), but were amazing games.
I was about to shut this video off and go to bed, then battlefield heroes came up! I think about this game at least a handful of times a year, can never remember its name. I literally tried to remember again earlier in the week. Thanks for helping me!
Minecraft Online sounds like an awesome place! If I was ever going to play Minecraft on my own (or possibly even with friends), it would definitely be my number one place to go. "Huge no griefing survival server that isn't riddled with indestructible blocks everywhere" sounds like peak Minecraft to me.
*If operation harsh doorstep is a dead game then Planetside needs a shout out.. 500 people playing Bluedrake's game. He was big in advertising Galactic Conquest mod for BF1942*
Red Orchestra 2 was the main reason I decided to build my first computer after playing RO1 for years. No other game back then had the feel and pace of it. Realistic yet not too slow like Arma but not run and gun dump rounds into people like battlefield. Every kill/flank/objective gave you a punch of satisfaction, your actions had weight. While death was a single rifle round away. An enemy machine gunner missing horribly made you miss and move slower so even if he was horrible it contributed to the suppression and effectiveness of a push. RO2 and darkest hour mod are still on my top of the list for games to return to, because nothing yet has came close to the feel of them both for me.
Actually, machine gunners suppressing the enemy also made them way less accurate too, so most of the 'missing horribly' was likely suppressing fire to begin with. There's a time and place to focus fire and a time and place on suppressing fire. A good MG knew when a push was coming and thus could interrupt the push with suppressing fire first.
I was playing a game while watching this video on the side until I heard battlefield heroes song... childhood flashbacks stunned me. thanks brother, battlefield heroes is still my fav game of all time
I'm so delighted to see battlefield heroes again. It was my childhood. Played it so god damn much before the shut down. And I knew that rising hub revived the game but never actually played it after the server shutdown. Well this 2min clip gave me so much joy that I think I need to boot up to rising hub and get into some games :)
Battlefield Heroes was Pay2Win. Better sets of items were buyable for $, while lot of items were not buyable for F2P player and some required lot of grinding. Gameplay, Vehicles, Emojis it all keeped the game alive. This is first and last game I remember where people (like my brother from 1992) enjoyed playing against Pay2Win players. I don't know any other game, where you can have fun playing against Pay2Win players. It's always a frustration. But not with Battlefield Heroes.
Life is Feudal: Your Own; was a fantastic medieval sandbox castle building game that is pretty much completely dead. They tried to make an MMO out of it too which never took off because of some legal issues or something with the publisher or something. A few servers still kicking along though, usually modded and have real tight communities
Red Orchestra 1 and 2 were amazing. I have such great memories of them. I couldn't get into Vietname Rising Storm though Useless bit of info. Red Orchestra was born into sales after it won the Unreal competition for best mod. They one mil dollars and went on to make the studio and release the game as a full game
Your bringing a tear in my eyes, mate. I remember playing it when it first came out. It was fantastic, goofy and what did suck is how the game died. Battlefield bad compliant 3 was being released a few years later by the same dev team and resources were removed from Battlefield Heroes. It also didn't help that it was p2w game during the later years. It had so much potential and it was let go. Also a big no no was the enforced spyware and hidden malware within the files (from the original game). So they used the anti cheat thing, but it also kicked out good to great players from the servers because the software thought we were cheating. It did kick the cheaters, but the good square players didn't need to get kicked. I think I also played Kuma War a military simulator. But, I wouldn't recommend it unless you want your PC to be filed with Trojans, Malware etc. Back then my parents PC had Windows XP and I messed it up. 5,000 viruses, I'm not proud of it. 😬 I learned never download games from sketchy adverts or untrustworthy sites. So now it's just Steam, PSN store, XBOX pass, etc. just the legit ones. This how ever doesn't include emulation software and games that separate. But, it be great to save up for a PC handheld like the MSI Claw. Have you heard of Neo pets that's dying. Adventure Quest which was a turn based Javascript software was single player free to play RPG. Not many people play it.
It's kinda shadow of the glory of original Red Orchestra's community versions of Danzig. Community version of Danzig evolved opening one room at the time until every single room in every building were accessible.
i can suggest you resistance 1 multiplayer for this series. servers are basically dead but the community sometimes gather around for some rounds (usualyl fridays and weekends) but you either need a ps3 or emualator
13:20 Honestly, Minecraft singleplayer feels lonely asf, co-op/multiplayer feels fun, but a whole community just feels like a true community tbh. P.S. CONGRATS ON MINECRAFTONLINE'S DEDICATION!
Damn i have tears in my eyes through the minecraft part.. i have so much memories to this game.. thousands of hours on so many public servers, our servers, singleplayer, ps4 minecraft.. I practically grew up with this game.. im 26 years old now and we play with my friend time to time :) i have been playing with him since version 1.2.5 released in 2012. Red Orchestra 2 :(
I wish to go back to 2014 and relive the glorious days of this game again. Especially the Heroes of the West mode.
Remember also playing a game clled Ace of Spades which was a really cool little game before the devs got greedy, completely changed the entire game and monetized it. Was very sad to watch this happen.
There are revivals of it, i think around 2-3. They had a good amount of numbers about 2 years ago
It's really fun! Usually when people get off work etc, there will be around 60-100 people online, so many servers are full of players!
First game of the day: OHD on a Russian server in a UKRAINE VS WAGNER PMC game mode... well thats a start and a half
Thank you for visiting risinghub :) I still play it on a daily basis and its still a ton of fun. Glad i could be your first ingame kill lmao

I used to play Miscreated all the time because I loved the few firefights I got in and the goofing around. Wish it was still poppin
yeah but since they added rad storms and shit like this the game wasnt fun anymore, i mean cmon it was already hard enough :D
@@BioWolf091 I love the storms and shit now, esp. since you can manage around them
I also got Red Orchestra 2 official recently. Incredibly cheap and a great experience, doing Banzai charges in Saipan and clearing tight rooms in Stalingrad is an amazing experience, incomparable.
Plus, you get 2 free hats in TF2. 10/10.
See you in the battlefield comrade!
agree,and free hats with TF2
dude you have helped me find my favorite childhood game that i thought i'd never see again. i've binged most of your recent videos and so so so many of my old favorites that died have seen new life from your content and its so good to be able to play them once again. thank you.
this has become one of my favorite UA-cam series ever all time ...makes my day seeing a new upload thank you
@Rye Games 13:12 Hold up, uh, about the maiden Outfit... 🤔 😜 (Btw Great Playlist, there are some hidden gems and older memories)
No way you did miscreated. I spent so much time on that game. The hidden bases the wars and how scary it was. I absolutely loved this game and spent so much time on it. Then the Chinese came in hacked the game and helped kill it.
This is one of my fave all time games. I still hop in with a small group sometimes, I wish it would have done better.
I started playing Miscreated in 2016. Still playing it on some occasions. Cool game.
Thanks for finally coveing RO2, many memories on this game and I still play it sometimes, usually you can find full servers during the evening. Also boundary looks fun
I miss Miscreated so much. I had so many awesome memories in that game and the developers just killed it :(
My fave - it's still running on some private servers and we still play sometimes.
1:32 - "First, one shell at a time, each one at the window, then you come fucking in, they’ll fuck you up to the windows..."
Boundary, since it's in space, they should add that Jet pistol that was made in the 60s for fireing at space! 😮😊
Happy for all your success. You do make truly good and engaging videos.
I swear this is the best gaming UA-cam channel at the moment
So glad you get to talk about BFH. It was my childhood game with a friend of mine and we had such a fun time playing it. It was fun, stylish, kind of the premices of actually every F2P games with battle pases and expensive weapons and skins. Along with games like TF2.
It was one of the greatest shooting games I've ever played
I love how you make these videos melancholic.
i miss miscreated so much. had such a great time on that game.
After the last updates and then decomish the servers, there's a few private players that still run - and it's actually still fun.
@@twoponderingpagans interesting. ill have to check that out. early miscreated was excellent
Man I loved Battlefield Heroes... I didnt know they revived it! thats awesome!
Dude its been years and i mean YEARS since playing Minecraft but damn that nostalgic music really takes me back.....
Missed your content my man, awesome to see you carrying on with this series though, must be tough sometimes running around giant empty games😂 appreciate the effort youre putting in keep it up bro
Battlefield heros had an amazing theme song! Still use it as an alarm on my phone.
Thank you for covering all these games!
Man I loved battlefield Heros, it's been like 10 Years for me :D
This serial make me remember a feeling long ago
As watch a dying game, lesser and lesser every day, that game was the whole of my child hood,
I can't remember what game, it will be wonderful if i can recall that game and play it one more time,
But time, we have to grow up and suddenly now take this serial i just wonder ... when i have lost that joy and forgot the game i was love the most?
Time a quick, quick as hell, now i have my old child, i'm old now
So much frustrating
Thank you for your videos, this mean a lot. I will keep watching this serial, maybe some day my childhood game coming up.
Oh man, I cried seeing Battlefield Heroes. Back in 2011-2015 I played this game a lot. Golden times.
I remember the good old Battlefield heroes times with my school friends. Damn it was pay to win but still as a kid hella fun. The first game I reaaaallly grinded. Good times
I really like the new editing style. 👍
And might as well recommend playing Pandemic Express it was a pretty cool game that seemed pretty fun, too bad it didn't last long.
15:54 The interactions here are actually wholesome af. No tryhards, no elitists. You all have no idea what you're doing, and admit it.
Next I'd suggest Natural Selection or Natural Selection II. Both had some massive player bases in their prime and have dwindled down to a few handfuls of players (especially NS1), but were amazing games.
Can put killing floor 2 in the list. I have so many hours in that game.
Also KF3 has been announced. :)
Dead game is putting it lightly
2:32 ,,Is that a grenade 😨?" Famous last words 😂
If games count that were never gigantic I would love to see your first impression on Project: Gorgon. Lovely game!
God i loved battlefield heroes as a kid. I was heartbroken to learn it was shut down. Even if I hadn't played for years by the time it did
Red Orchestra 2 was the main reason I decided to build my first computer after playing RO1 for years.
A video about my childhood game Battlefield Heroes? I LOVE U
so now Soldier of Fortune II, Total War series, SWAT 4/RON, Americas army, LOTRO, Club Pinguin xD
I just found your channel and this is the first video I'm watching but I just want to say I really like your videos
I was playing a game while watching this video on the side until I heard battlefield heroes song... childhood flashbacks stunned me. thanks brother, battlefield heroes is still my fav game of all time
Nice to see you got HSR sponsorship, love the game!
Play SCP Foundation!! I love these videos btw, keep up the good work! 🎉❤🎉❤
I really want to play Boundary now because it's like a space cod. It looks like a ton of fun even for $19.99.
I still play RO2 sometimes, I think it's a really fun game when you understand the gameplay
I've played Miscreated and Battlefield heroes alot, god... those good old days, it was so beautiful.
Life is Feudal: Your Own; was a fantastic medieval sandbox castle building game that is pretty much completely dead. They tried to make an MMO out of it too which never took off because of some legal issues or something with the publisher or something. A few servers still kicking along though, usually modded and have real tight communities
BF Heroes was a special game when I was in high school. Helped me through rough spot.
Really wanted to try Boundary ... However they have already delisted it ... Looked very fun too.
Red Orchestra 2 was and still is my gold standard for what a WW2 game can be. It has plenty of flaws but overall it’s so epic.
"eating an inhuman amount of protein or watching a lot of bald men" really sounds like a euphemism...
Damn I am so bummed I missed out on boundary, I really wanted to try it :/
same here
Red Orchestra 1 and 2 were amazing. I have such great memories of them. I couldn't get into Vietname Rising Storm though
Useless bit of info. Red Orchestra was born into sales after it won the Unreal competition for best mod. They one mil dollars and went on to make the studio and release the game as a full game
I played the original Red Orchestra combined arms mod. I still play RO2/RS on semi regular basis.
6:14 satisfying teamkill grenade on the guy that called everyone noobs
or maybe it was accidental and they really are noobs
Starting off with Silent Hill 2 music... Oh Rye, you know the way to my heart.
I had the honour of participating in a banzai charge when i played Rising Storm a few years ago , i loved it so much
That last game was unexpected. I never knew people kept Battlefield Heroes alive. I loved that game.
I've never heard of Boundary, but the concept of it reminds me of Shattered Horizon.
Boundary was incredible and actually helped me with my fear of floating endlessly into the void. Its just hard to wait 8-10 mins to match into a game.
I love that they are keeping the minecraft server up and keeping it safe :D
Red Orchestra 2 is the most legendary WWII game in my opinion. The atmosphere feels like you're really there and in danger
Addicted to these videos I was excited to see another upload thanks Rye!
Battlefield heroes was part of my childhood 😢
Ahh, all the good times spent on Apartments map. Thank you for giving it some love Rye!
It's kinda shadow of the glory of original Red Orchestra's community versions of Danzig. Community version of Danzig evolved opening one room at the time until every single room in every building were accessible.
It's crazy to see boundary again like this I remember seeing topographic I think it was cover this game and now it's completely forgotten
Whats the song in the game introduction screens? Love these videos!!
Miscreated was such a great game, they had so much potential, I had great times, and meet great people playing that game, I truly miss those times.
i can suggest you resistance 1 multiplayer for this series. servers are basically dead but the community sometimes gather around for some rounds (usualyl fridays and weekends)
but you either need a ps3 or emualator
For me its just best game in the world :)
Have a great day everyone ♥️
