Great song and a very good cover - I say cover as without Peter Green it's not the same Fleetwood Mac but Mick and John obviously held Peter in the highest esteem and its good that they kept Peters music alive once they hit the big (money) time. It certainly brought his music to more people. Rick De Vito does a great job in my opinion.
Rick Vito is a wonderful guitar player! He is great with old Fleetwood Mac blues songs from the Peter Green FM era. Listen to the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band!
Well, I'm sorry, but it just doesn't get better than this. Authentic blues song. Written by an East End Londoner. Played & sung brilliantly by an American. Well done, Rick.
that's stupid to say they need 2 guys to replace lindsey, they needed to perform that album live more musicians and background singers, and rick vito is an incredible guitar player!
Lindsey Buckingham gave Fleetwood Mac that Buckingham/Nicks sound, which is very unique and very special and can never be duplicated. The one thing that Rick Vito brings here is a moment's return to that original Fleetwood Mac sound. If you look at Mick Fleetwood closely in this video, you can see it, surely. It's that brief joy in reliving something from a long ago time. Just my perception, of course. Rick Vito is an outstanding guitarist.
Rick Vito & Billy Burnette ---------Dorsey's son-------2 stellar additions ----2 rock-solid pros, who came to FM minus ego, & played their hearts out . It was so refreshing-----& I for one, loved to hear some of peter Greens music. ----------Best FM line-up of all-time. -----------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
it's different from anything i have ever heard! i'm in love with Fleetwood Mac, but it's quite sad that people my age (17 yo) haven't even heard about this band
Peter Green was a great musician, singer and guitar player to be sure, however I really believe Danny Kirwan was right there with him! Just saying! Listen to "Oh Well part 2, Woman of a 1000 years, Dragon fly off the "The Beat Club" video found on UA-cam! To be honest, when I seen his head bobbing while strumming through "The Green Manalishi" video, I was hooked! Also, being hispanic we all just assumed Santana version of Black Magic Woman was the original? I just wish more people in my culture actually knew who were the original group who wrote, performed the great song some years before! But, where credit is due, Carlos Santana lead guitar and the lead vocalist of Santana Gregg Rollie was and is still a master piece! RIP, Peter Green, Danny Kirwan! GUITAR HEROES!
@@iamasmurf1122 as Eric Morcambe would say “ all the chords, not necessarily in the right order” This song was the forerunner of Black Magic Woman and used the same blues chords but is a much simpler song. I thought Rick did a fine job on it, up to his fast strum notes. It’s a blues and sad, he’s going at it like a Jack hammer and loses the melancholy nature of the song.
It was custom built for him. I think I read that on his website. He likes art deco and 50's rockabilly styles, hence the custom guitar and the shirt with the playing cards on it. Pretty cool.
Thank you for uploading this, I had not seen Rick Vito play this only Peter Green with his band. It is a really good version with a lovely solo. Thanks again
Have to agree that Lindsey was special, but hey Rick did a great job, love him, going to see Mick Fleetwoods Blues Band fea. Rick next month, so exicted can't wait.
i went into this clip...with a real feeling of ahhh deff not gonna be as good as the original fleetwood but its impressive....this vito guy...does nicely...no one can possibly bring back the old feel...i dont even think pete himself can... its a time "done past and gone" but this guy does a very nice job with the song thank u for posting
big lindsey fan--but there is just something about ricks version of this song that REALLY gets to me. i saw him perform this in RI in 87--that was my 1st fm concert. i was 15--ive been an fm fan since i was 5. i love everything they have ever done. was dissappointed not to see lindsey on that tour but his subs turned out to be pretty good--even tho it took 2 dudes to replace him!
Glad you have tickets. Must agree about the marketing for the tour, I only found out by accident looking at forthcoming artists at the broadway, when I saw this gig advertised the tickets were not even available! Be interested to hear your reviews about the show. Enjoy.
The original is available on CD, Fleetwood Mac's debut album titled 'Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac'. In addition to this, Gary Moore recorded a wonderful version on his 'Blues for Greeny' album.
it's different from anything i have ever heard! i'm in love with Fleetwood Mac, but it's quite sad that people my age (17 yo) haven't even heard about this band
Great Peter Green song done very well by Rick. And what a waste Peter's lost years were. I can barely imagine the great stuff Peter would have cranked out if he had not taken that bad acid trip.
Again the issue is one of timing. When Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined "FM" in 1975, the band were waiting for their big break to happen and needed that burst of creative energy which the two newest members were able to provide propelling the group to the height of super stardom Fast forward 12 years later and the band were exhausted (creatively and personally). Rick Vito and Billy Burnette arrived when the group were running on empty and already spliting off in different directions
The lead guitarist whoever he is can't hold a candle to Peter Green's playing or vocals. Why do they list Peter Green as being in this when he's nowhere to be found?
With pressure being placed on Buckingham to keep the project focused and moving forward, things came to a head shortly after the release of Tango in the Night when he announced his departure from the band shortly before their scheduled tour in 1987. Following Buckingham's sudden departure, two musicians were drafted in to replace him (Rick Vito and Billy Burnette), who proceeded to complete the tour in 1987-1988 with the rest of the band.
Yer, but Peter left the band, that's no reason for Mick and John to stop playing those songs. It's a great live version and an inspired choice of song. Better to do a this than a bad version of Black Magic or Albatross. Compare with Oh Well from the same concert, not bad, but this is SO much better.
Giorgi Ostatishvili blah blah...Fleetwood Mac is a band of many different phases. All have their merits. Rick Vito is a great guitarist. And by the way, it's Jeremy Spencer, not Jerry.
Ye, in the records, u can even hear Peter saying "Hey Jerry how does it sound?" and then Jeremy responds... and there is only one true FWM that is with Green's team.
And after I shot my mouth off about Rick vito not being Peter Green I have to say he's still a damn fine guitarist and singer with great tone in his playing. Lindsey Buck shouldn't me mentioned in the same sentence though I acknowledge Stevie Nicks and him did make a ton of good songs and even more money for Fleetwood Mac. But the real Mac was in Peter Green's days.
Fantastic Artist , Great cover by a guitarist that the Real Fleetwood Mac respected. This was simply a Blues Band Mick put together with old friends. Nothing to be critical of , but really good music to enjoy. This is called a tribute not a comparison kiddies..
This might be the best version of this song. Also, Rick Vito was the best guitar player Fleetwood Mac ever had. No, he wasn’t as distinctive as either Green or Buckingham, but he is way more versatile and accomplished. A magnificent guitarist.
No, the one he's playing here is NOT a Reverend. "Tubes12AX7k" was correct, it's a custom made guitar called a "Streamliner". Rick wouldn't start playing Reverends for about 15 years after this concert
Rick is the Master of Blues. I've been honored to play with this wonderful man and continue to do so. Couldn't be a better musician or person!
Ghandi, Barry Sheene,...
Rick Vito the guitar man
Rick Vito is a wonderful guitar player! He is great with old Fleetwood Mac blues songs from the Peter Green FM era. Listen to the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band!

Love Rick's performance of this song!
Love the anguish from Rick and his guitar. Perfect with a glass of bourbon.
Forgetting the PG comparisons, Vito is a class act!
Must've been amazing to play with a legendary talent such as he :) Rick truly performed this song unforgettably.
Rick Vito from Springfield & Glenolden, Pa. Good singing, good playing.
Oh well hometown boy. Does great rendition here
Rick is great guitarist
Rick Vito is the man
Rick Vito!!! He's really great!!!
We had the pleasure to meet him in June in Nashville... WOW!!!
Davide&Anita from Italy
Check Mick Fleetwood at around 2:05. He looks like he's in ecstasy. And so he should be. Awesome.
Happy Birthday today(November 26) to bassist John McVie. Cheers!
Always thought Rick did a great job with this song!
it's different from anything i have ever heard! i'm in love with Fleetwood Mac, but it's quite sad that people my age (17 yo) haven't even heard about this band
excellente Rick Vito's version
love especially the end of his guitar solo
Happy Birthday today(June 24) to drummer/namesake Mick Fleetwood . Cheers!
got 2 see him do this in 87--my very 1st concert when i was 14. amazing show!!
Who wants to bet that 90% or people in that audience never heard that tune before?
Me
I had not but am so in love with this song!
Peter Green was a great musician, singer and guitar player to be sure, however I really believe Danny Kirwan was right there with him! Just saying! I bet they have it is the exact same chords as black majic woman and structure
@@iamasmurf1122 as Eric Morcambe would say “ all the chords, not necessarily in the right order”

what a song

Excellent..thanks🌟👍👍👍
Excellent version from that old Fleetwood Mac song..!
John and Mick enjoying the hell out this.
Have to agree that Lindsey was special, but hey Rick did a great job, love him, going to see Mick Fleetwoods Blues Band fea. Rick next month, so exicted can't wait.

Very good! One of best Mac's songs... And this guy plays it very well.
INCREIBLE!
Bad ass blues sumba
❤Gooooöd!
I'll take Mr. Vito's understated tribute to Greeny here over Gary Moore any day of the week - and twice on Sunday
Saw Rick doing a few numbers with the Fleetwood Mac tribute band,Rulers of Fleetwood Mac,brilliant and RIC was fab as well.
Probably Rick Vito's shining moment as a member of Fleetwood Mac.
Amazing talent!
big lindsey fan--but there is just something about ricks version of this song that REALLY gets to me. i saw him perform this in RI in 87--that was my 1st fm concert. i was 15--ive been an fm fan since i was 5. i love everything they have ever done. was dissappointed not to see lindsey on that tour but his subs turned out to be pretty good--even tho it took 2 dudes to replace him!
broadway, peterborough, Mick Fleetwoods Blues Band are on tour at the moment. Counting down the days.
great tune, thank u Matthew

We are all blesses Aire ghostly
Sound We are all blesses
Im usually to the Peter Green versions, but Vito fucking rules in this.
The original is available on CD, Fleetwood Mac's debut album titled 'Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac'. In addition to this, Gary Moore recorded a wonderful version on his 'Blues for Greeny' album.
Great version all the same.
No, this is Rick Vito, member of Fleetwood Mac since 1987 to 1990.
it's different from anything i have ever heard! i'm in love with Fleetwood Mac, but it's quite sad that people my age (17 yo) haven't even heard about this band
specially here in brazil
thanks for the info.
Buena cancion.
I love Gary Moore's live cover.
This is Peter Green's song writen in early period of Fleetwood Mac.
very good feeling !!!
this is peter green ?
Because now it is very different
Great Peter Green song done very well by Rick. And what a waste Peter's lost years were. I can barely imagine the great stuff Peter would have cranked out if he had not taken that bad acid trip.
❤️
Black Magic Woman vibes!
Where is everyone still at?
Again the issue is one of timing. When Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined "FM" in 1975, the band were waiting for their big break to happen and needed that burst of creative energy which the two newest members were able to provide propelling the group to the height of super stardom

👍👍👍
i love this - i've been loking for this for a while... do u know if it is possible to get this on cd or dvd?
Need more Peter Green haha
Green got it right the first time. I prefer "I Loved Another Woman" over his successor/sister "Black Magic Woman."
Um brasileiro esteve aqui
I want know the same! x
que grosos.. muy buen tema.. no te lo pienso traducir :)
Notice everyone having lighters in the crowd shots
The lead guitarist whoever he is can't hold a candle to Peter Green's playing or vocals. Why do they list Peter Green as being in this when he's nowhere to be found?
these guys r good but they can never top lindsey
Where is Lindsey ?
With pressure being placed on Buckingham to keep the project focused and moving forward, things came to a head shortly after the release of Tango in the Night when he announced his departure from the band shortly before their scheduled tour in 1987. Following Buckingham's sudden departure, two musicians were drafted in to replace him (Rick Vito and Billy Burnette), who proceeded to complete the tour in 1987-1988 with the rest of the band.
Peter Green's Original Fleetwood Mac, my favorite over the Mick's ,,,Fleetwood Mac. Hey!! Guess who wrote Black Magic Woman. That's right!!!
Peter Green ed i Fleetwoodmac erano un'altra cosa.
No match for Greeny and his tone but still did a good job replacing him for a bit
the fact of the matter is Fleetwood mac is nt the same without Lindsey. And Its really strange you comment to me about this now
It's one thing to play like Peter Green; it's another to be Peter Green playing. This is a "nice tribute", but that's all.
Yer, but Peter left the band, that's no reason for Mick and John to stop playing those songs. It's a great live version and an inspired choice of song. Better to do a this than a bad version of Black Magic or Albatross.
Compare with Oh Well from the same concert, not bad, but this is SO much better.
Band is fair. Singer sucks.
This is no Fleetwood Mac, this is shitwood Mac... Peter green, Mick Fleetwood, john mcvie, Jerry Spencer forever.
Giorgi Ostatishvili Ha ha shitwood mac.
Robert Stoico Rick is indeed a great guitarist & fronts the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band to this day 👍
You got a drippy ass
👎👎👎👎👎
*Rick Vito:Very,Very underrated musician,I personally thought he was great in Fleetwood Mac!*
He should be the permanent one after Peter Green.
I remember him as a session musician in 1982. He played for Jackson Browne..Somebody's Baby. He's a great guitarist (like Waddy Wattchell)
Je préfère la version avec Peter Green, mais c'est une version à ne pas négliger.
Fantastic Artist , Great cover by a guitarist that the Real Fleetwood Mac respected. This was simply a Blues Band Mick put together with old friends. Nothing to be critical of , but really good music to enjoy. This is called a tribute not a comparison kiddies..
Well said..👍
Smooooooth
:)
I saw Fleetwood Mac in 1971 ,before Stevie joined them , they played a lot of Jazz type music , very very good .
He had left the band before the "Tango" tour statrted.
Devo dire che Rick Vito, che non conoscevo, mi ha piacevolmente sorpreso riproponendo un successo di Peter Green con tecnica e personalità, bravo!
Great version of the song.
Rick Vito. One of the master guitarists too!!❤
thousands of pop fans listen do a deep blues - what a great scene....
This is a wonderfully restrained and tasteful version, good stuff.
RIck Vito's guitar playing is boring and predictable to me.
Nice bit if "Greeny" blues. 👍mutch better than that Buckigham / Nick's shite !
Pure magic
This might be the best version of this song. Also, Rick Vito was the best guitar player Fleetwood Mac ever had. No, he wasn’t as distinctive as either Green or Buckingham, but he is way more versatile and accomplished. A magnificent guitarist.
No, the one he's playing here is NOT a Reverend. "Tubes12AX7k" was correct, it's a custom made guitar called a "Streamliner". Rick wouldn't start playing Reverends for about 15 years after this concert
No offence get get rid on Lindsey and Stevie and bring Rick back this is what FWM is all about
This is my favorite version of this song. It’s timeless.
Очень нравится. В живую звучит очень прилично ...
IT'S CALLED THERAPY LADY GET SOME!!
