It was at my babysitter's house. I was 5 years old and I had just come inside from playing in the snow. That's when I heard the beginning bars of Dreams streaming through the stereo. I started to walk into the kitchen and grab some hot chocolate, but then I heard the most beautiful voice coming through that stereo and I stopped and turned towards it to listen. The beat was catchy and soft, but it had this guitar and drum sound that had me mesmerized. Ultimately it was the voice of Stevie Nicks that captured the moment more than anything. I fell into the melody as she sang the line, "thunder only happens when it's raining. And lovers only love you when they're playing." I was caught off guard by my babysitter as she asked me, "what are you doing?" "Listening to the voice of an angel," I replied. I will never forget that day in 1978 as long as I live.
The turmoil btw Stevie and Lindsey during Rumours could have been described by including the story of how Stevie’s song “Silver Springs” (which was all about their relationship) wasn’t included on the album. But then in 97 it was formally included after which Stevie sang the song AT Lindsey on stage. If that performance didn’t pull you into into the conflict then you might wanna check yourself for a pulse. It was EXQUISITE and remains my fave song of theirs 😍👏🏻👍🏻
I too saw them sing this on stage in Vancouver and you could have heard a pin drop in the arena, as everyone watched and listened to their story. Very poignant moment ❤
I can’t imagine FM without Christine because so many of their best songs are hers. I love Stevie & all of them but Christine was the glue that kept them together.
@@snoops5581 Christine McVie did have some really great songs but she can no way compared to the amount of hits. That Stevie Nicks put out , that’s just my opinion You can check it out
So I love your comment. Christine was the voice of an angel that did hold the band together. And that was really the rock soli'll add vocal anchor of most of the greatest songs of Fleetwood Mac for the entire era of fleawood Mac. Thank you for that comment as a fan of comments. I just love it because I think it's so true.Thank you
It was tragic when Lindsey was kicked out of the band. After all those years. It wasn't quite the same with Neil Finn replacing him. I'm a Kiwi, love Neil Finn, but Lindsey's guitaring was uniquely his & belonged with Fleetwood Mac.
@@RyanMcKennaGosling One of those tunes that is completely different than anything ever recorded., and it " WORKS " . A winner ! , to me anyway. And the vid is kinda bizarre.
Without Kristine McVie Fleetwood Mac has lost a priceless treasure. I'll just play my DVD of 1997's "The Dance" and remember how special "Fleetwood Mac" truly was.
Mcvie was the real woman in the band Not Nicks, Nicks just wanted the spotlight. Lindsey Buckingham plays Guitar so good it takes 2 guitarists to even come close.
@@roberteng3567 No she wasn't. Lindsey was the glue. The rest were just content to do the same old same old, but Lindsey always was pushing to innovate. That's why whenever he left them the few times they did nothing much.
@@lisakemp7352 It wasn't because of Christine, since she left for many years until her comeback. It's because of her AND Lindsey not being there, but mostly Lindsey. They have never been any good without Lindsey.
Oh yes, with those words, designed to publicly shame a middle aged, childless, single woman, LB certainly sounds like he's moved on 😅. Remember, narcissistic rage is never resolved until the perceived perpetrator is ruined. LB cannot control himself as verified by continually mocking SN, behind her back, and in interviews, whenever she spoke at public events honouring the band. He did it one too many times and was thrown out of the band. Yet another hit delivered to his narcissistic ego. LB will go to his grave trying to tear SN down. Narcissistic rage has no time frame and they do not move on, even after they're married. It will always be a score that needs to be settled.
Just revealed ? What a gutless dick giving his psychological assessment of her feelings about him finding his soulmate crap. What really pisses him off is that her star power has risen far higher than his. Better not rubbish the soulmate now or the kids will get pissed.
It's the other way around. She's always used her songs to bash him, but she does it in such a weirdo psuedo-Walt Disney way-all fairies and dragons-that he likely doesn't even know half the time what she does. Plus she's always making songs about the parade of artists, engineers, producers, musicians she's dated along the way, she's just lucky they don't seem to mind, if they even know. Nicks is still whining about his apparent treatment of her, she's been bitter way too long, and Christine's loss now seems to exacerbate it. Most people move on from their relationships when they fail-the ABBA girls don't act like this, and both those men were in the wrong there. She hated having to share her solo career with the group, and barely wanted to be there once the 80s arrived, which must annoy the others, yet won't admit it. Then she tells the others she won't tour with him-"me or him". She doesn't even want to do any more albums with them! She's a drama queen and it's getting as OLD as her. She's got problems, seriously. It's all team Stevie under here I see, bloody zealots. I used to be more pro-her before I fund out more about her, and found a lot of it was down to preferring her solo albums over the others' solo work, but that is NOT a good reason for letting someone be a jerk.
Its so ridiculous people being so certain about other people's relationships. We dont have an earthly clue about what happened, unless you hear it ftom the horse's mouth.
I didn't marry and have children either because, yes, some us, as professional musicians, choose to live our professional lives instead of the traditional path and never looking back because we know we made the right decision. Stevie didn't. Neither did I. We know who and what we are. Lindsey's opening remark was rather snarkey. I don’t think Stevie regretted her decision.
Still sounds like high school hurt emotions, doesn't it. The real question is, why do all of us (me included) still have such fascination with these two?
It just seems so fascinating! They made SUCH GOOD music. And their relationship was in jeopardy the whole time! I just want to know what happened. I feel like they're secretive about it to keep the intrigue of the band lol. A part of me feels like it was John and Mick who masterminded decades-long drama between two unbelievably talented people to make millions, lol. People get like this with pop bands like BTS and I couldn't care less. But somehow I do with these two. I know I shouldn't too. It's so weird, man. I think where they both ended up in life says it all though tbh
You forgot to mention Stevie did a full tour in 22. I was at the first show at NOLA’s Jazz Fest and the last in Huntsville, Al on Halloween night. She jam packed Jazz Fest in comparison to the day before. The Halloween show was real special. Stevie was fantastic, even at 74.
@@raventurquoise7 You are correct, she was 74. I was thinking 70 because I remembered it being a milestone for her & me the next year, was 50/75 not 50/70. I was supposed to see her for my 50th, she cancelled. I remember thinking her 75th year, my 50th & she is playing on my b’day locally. I am just grateful I saw her. Many artist have passed before I could. After Covid we’re going to concerts more than we ever did before.
Stevie Nicks has sounded like crap since the 1980s. She would've never been anything without Lindsey Buckingham. She's a bitter old baby-killer, nothing more.
There's a saying, "The lies are loud and the truth is quiet." This sounds a lot like wounded pride. Anyone with half a brain and some eyesight would know that Stevie could have married and had children if she chose to do so. Period.
@@fionataylor4269 they were both genesis stive and Lindsey, went through all types of times together from nothing to world famous, it's only natural they would have fall 🍂 outs
No. I think you're wrong. I feel Stevie's music very strongly. And I like to read up on the little lore that's available. I don't know the entire truth. But based on their history... Lindsey had *a lot* fewer partners than Stevie. Stevie was the type to cheat with a dude with a wife and two kids. (While actually being a part of their lives!) She was a "full person" as Mick would say. Her heart would probably always find reasons to wander. I think she chose the life she has partly because she knows she probably couldn't marry and have children if she wanted to.
@@DarleneKirk-dd9wcIs it him or her that never moved on? He got married & has three kids. But how many of us have to continue a good relationship with an old boyfriend & work together every day. I don’t think that would be easy for anybody.
@@snoops5581 Well he is the one still badmouthin her so I would say HE is the one who hasn’t moved on. Just because a woman isn’t married doesn’t mean necessarily that she hasn’t moved on. She probably just decided she prefers her freedom or that she hasn’t met the right person.
Lindsey Buckingham is and was the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac. He also produced all their music and without him the other songwriters songs would sound completely different. Just look at their history with and without him. It's not even close who the most important member was.
I've read a great deal about FM over the years and like in so many places here the author makes a fundamental mistake in describing Peter Green as "one of the founding members". He is the founder of Fleetwood Mac. He told Mick and John he was forming his own band and he wanted them both in it. John said no at first but joined later. This is well documented. History should be reported accurately without exception.
Who wrote the tunes in your band? Was it a group credit or did each person put their own name on it? Putting their own name on it is the best way to cause problems!
I love Lindsey but he is lying in this clip. Lindsey has previously said Stevie is his soulmate & he is right. He was not really w/ the co-parent when he learned he was having a kid that HE did not plan! He was not w/ the co-parent after he found out either! Lindsey&Stevie were loving & close during this time. lLindsey did not get legally ensnared until 2 years later. Even then it was an odd situation & not how he paints it here. I think he says this bc he is hurt about being let go. Lindsey was not disrespectful on stage.
Exactly ! How smug he is here !, any man can get a woman to pander after him , especially a rock star, there are many desperate , or shall we say determined women out there. Free spirits roll differently.
Some women do not want to be the man in their relationship, she got fed up of trying to be a mother , another woman came along and was happy to play mum, he doesn't need to be so smug about it. It is not hard for a forlon man , especially a rockstar, to get attention. He wrote amazing songs, but as a man, he's like Ashley Cole , he needs to be center of attention. Love both Lindsey and Stevie at the end of the day, for all their amazing talent.💫
She never had kids by choice... Stevies Nicks already said in an interview that she would never have known success if she hadn’t had an abortion in 1979 when Fleetwood Mac was at their peak... At that time, she was hooked on cocaïne, fame and glory. She even added that without her, FM would never not had been so popular... Curiously, it's after the departure of Lyndsay Buckingham that the popularity of the FM began to go down, even with her still in the band, she's so full of herself... Furthermore, all the men that she has been in relation with after Lyndsay Buckingham, (Mick Fleetwood, Don Henley, JD Souther, Kim Anderson, Jimmie Lovine and Joe Walsh just to name a few) were all well establish men in the music business and who helped her with her career... BTW, without Lyndsay Buckingham, she would never had been a member of Fleetwood Mac and never had the career that she haded...
Why bring Lindsay down? Without him stating that if he join Fleetwood Mac, so does Stevie. Tom Petty had a lot to do with her solo career too. Just like other famous artists she dated along the way. Lindsay was and is underrated guitarist. Their relationship has always been in limelight because interviewers and the whole damn worlf didn't care for their talents just what is going on with them. Which is pathetic!
@@_Tylor_ , I believe it. I read a book on Fleetwood Mac (forgot who wrote it) which said Lindsey was abusive. I also think he's jealous of her far more successful career.
Each member has/had their own unique talent, but collaborating made them the musical powerhouse group we all love. For decades they fit together like a harmonious puzzle that was at times fractured but still capable of great things. Learning over the years that missing a piece of the puzzle can be devastating. 1st recognized when Lindsey was absent for whatever reason & then with the sad loss of Christine the group will never be the same. RIP Christine
Let it go already... Lindsey I am sure is not to thrilled about Stevie's ongoing popularity. I just saw her 2 weeks ago and she is doing what she loves to do. She still looks and sounds great and still playing big venues. Lindsey would never be able to play a big venue again. Sad but true.
Saw Stevie play 2 nights ago. Her voice is still incredible. She however, does not come across as a very nice person during her story telling. I would pay to see Lindsey every night of the week. Saw Fleetwood Mac many times and it was Lindsey who kept the show going and never left the stage. Just my humble opinion.
Lindsay carried the band with his guitar playing. He was amazing, he may not be as popular because she was the main voice behind Fleetwood Mac but people who know and understand music knows he was the intriguingly part.
Likewise for Stevie. She asks for him to be discharged supposedly fir smirking. However, Mick and Christine blatantly waltzing in the background. No repercussions there. Lost all respect for Stevie then!
Love Fleetwood Mac This album helped me through a tragic death of my boyfriend who was only 24. I also heard last year that Lindsey is no longer married. And that Stevie shared that her true soulmate was Mick. I think we need a scorecard or program of characters 🤦🏼♀️ Thank you for sharing this video of one of my top five favorite bands ! ☺️🙏🏻
@@SimplyBeingTT actually she was asked by the interviewer, “do you think Mick is your soulmate?”snd she replied “yes” They had a deep love for each other and became intimate.
This video does a fantastic job of delving into the tumultuous romance that fueled some of the band's greatest hits. It's fascinating to see how their personal struggles and creative partnership intertwined, shaping not just their lives but the entire band's legacy.
@@laurarominger2073 She is talented as well with her great singing and songwriting! And Lindsey's never been saint neither! Haven't you heard how he kicked Stevie on stage in New Zeland in 1979 or was chocking Ken Caillat? Nasty man!
Lindsay just comes off as sour and bitter. Not to mention jealous of Stevie Nicks. Lindsay just needs to show some respect to his wife and to Stevie Nicks. Then Lindsay would look like a bigger man but no, he has to bitch and whine and be a little man by belittling other people.
Corrections: In the beginning, Lindsey Buckingham brought in Stevie Nicks to his band Fritz. When Mick Fleetwood and the McVies moved to L.A. California for a fresh start and guitarist Bob Welch left Fleetwood Mac, Mick was only looking for a guitar player to replace Bob Welch. Mick walked into the studio where Lindsey and Stevie were working on their second duet album (in a room down the hall), and Mick met their producer who played tracks from the first Buckingham Nicks album and Mick was very interested in Lindsey. Lindsey happened to walk down the hall and that is when he met Mick. But it wasn’t until after Mick spoke with the McVies about Lindsey that led to the fateful phone call where Lindsey was offered to join FM. But Lindsey, once again showing his loyalty to Stevie, would not join unless she came as well, they were a team. They all met on New Year’s Eve and the rest is history. As to the onstage incident, Lindsey rolled his eyes and then Mick and Christine started dancing and then Lindsey and John were talking to one another. But Stevie’s girlfriends only told Stevie about Lindsey. You see, Stevie has a tendency to talk at great lengths and this was the band members reaction to another Stevie long winded onstage moment. The ultimatum from Stevie is true. Stevie did tell Mick it was her or Lindsey, because she later made it public she would never again appear onstage with Lindsey. But let us remember back in the era of Mirage. Lindsey got through the recording of the album and the group met to discuss tour plans. That is when Lindsey announced he was leaving the band. Stevie became enraged, screamed at Lindsey and flew across the room and physically attacked Lindsey. He then chased her outside. To this day Stevie blamed her drug use for that incident and laughs it off. Over the years, her own onstage displays of anger towards Lindsey is very clear. Stevie is no innocent when it comes to problems in the Buckingham Nicks relationship. Let us keep that in mind. Stevie has had a string of broken relationships with men whereas Lindsey has been married for almost 30 years and has 3 grown children. I am a fan of this whole group but facts are facts as told by each member of FM. Perspective.
They were both the problem. I'm sure if you asked the band, they would be fed up with both of them and world for focusing on that shit instead of the band.
I bought that Buckingham /Nicks album and it was great. Both people developed large egos with Fleetwood Mac, but I don't think Stevie would have went as far without Lindsay. Everyone makes life choices, but when Stevie's career is over; what will she have, besides money and fame??
This same man’s channel is always like that. I’m instantly disappointed when I hear his voice, but then often stay to the end, only for him to be super repetitive.

This channel has good subject matter but the dialogue feels so cobbled together and disjointed. One minute they’re talking about having joined FM where Lindsey insisted on Stevie joining then a minute later it strays to Mick Fleetwood having heard their joint album and feeling like Lindsey would be a good fit. Frustratingly hard to follow even if you already know the story
Lindsey was the glue, he was the best musician, wrote and arranged most of the music and wrote or cowrote more than 1/2 the songs. Just not the same without him.
Disrespectful behavior gets you nowhere, and kicked out. And the one who gets kicked out won't apologize or have enough self-awareness to correct oneself with humility. If you have self-respect, don't tolerate others' toxic disrespectful behavior. Ego-oriented people do nothing but blame others, and never see themselves to blame.
The Stevie-Mick affair happened a year after Stevie and Lindsey had broken up. Both have said it was a terrible idea and shouldn't have happened, but they fell in love on the Australian leg of the tour.
Well you can't talk about precious stevie having an affair with a married man can you? Lindsay even asked but Stevie denied. The whole band knew. Even Mick's wife knew, so screwed up hey!! But anyway, let's all blame Lindsay for the whole relationship not working lol
Exactly. This is the same rhetoric as every other video. Lindsey - Bad Stevie - Good Meanwhile if you read up on the history of the two professionally and privately you will realize how much Lindsey and Christine made the band. Their song writing combined with the four musicians writing music and Lindsey arranging the songs is what made FM. The music behind the songs gave them their distinctive sound and that was arranged by Lindsey and created by the four musicians. I like SN songs but her history of drug abuse and blaming her doctors for how they safely got her off of cocaine and her relationships behavior is very off. I read another article where SN describes her “song writing style” of a couple lines here and there but the band comes in with the lyrical chorus, the band comes up with the music and Lindsey arranges the song with the help of Christine… 🙄 I’m sitting there with a raised eyebrow thinking… they pretty much made her. She’s a very lucky woman. The press has always been so kind to her.
A little full of yourself Lindsey? No one except the two of them know the real truth. But come on without Stevie Nicks they would never of had the success that they did.Her performing live was amazing. Her song writing was amazing. They knew each other since high school. I think he knew what she wanted out of life and it wasn’t marriage and children not everybody has to get married and have children . I think she has lived out her dreams and continues to. He seems to come off a little bitter.
Sounds like they survived a lot of drama, Stevie has also talked about the abortion she had from her relationship with Don Henley, I think she might be regretting that.
Not necessarily & not a guarantee anyone would have ever heard of him. He didn't want to join FM. Stevie said it would be a good move. They were broke. LB didn't work a job outside of working on songs and improving his guitar playing. Stevie worked multiple jobs at once & paid all the bills. And she's said she didn't mind doing that. They were a team and a couple then. But the struggling was wearing her down. She was 27 and LB 26. Considered almost a geriatic age to still be trying to make it in the entertainment world. They're BN album went nowhere & they were dropped by their label. Since he agreed with her to join FM after all, it would have been beyond a douche move to join without her. I give him props for that & Stevie for paying the bills so LB could work on music. Frankly imo he probably thought FM would say no to Stevie & then he'd get out of joining. But they were dead broke as stated and didn't have any promising offers to continue as a duo. LB always gave off vibes he was not into being in a group. He wanted total control. Not faulting him for that but you can't be that way in a group. But things soared beyond he & Stevie's biggest hopes. Then by time Tango album came around he refused to tour after it had been booked & quit the band. Putting immense pressure for rest of FM. He did what was best for his life at that time. And after 4 decades of the differences & resentments, Stevie did what was best for her. LB or her. She didn't need to stay with FM and continue the never ending turmoil. She has the most successful solo career of the group. I would not be surprised if she thought FM would chose LB and she would just continue her solo touring. But FM chose her. LB is an underrated guitar player & music arranger but he's never seemed to function well within the group he never wanted to join in the first place. Dollars to donuts he'd been way happier and creatively satisfied if he & Stevie had made it as a duo or he had of had a bigger solo career vs being in a group regardless of the success. In interviews it's been said he was not into the # of albums sold, which singles should be released, or where songs charted. Naturally the $ made was beyond anyone's expectations but imo LB was more into creating music he wanted to do vs chasing rockstar super status. I do not blame LB or Stevie. It was what it was and is what it is. They're both competitive with each other and know which buttons to push with each other better than probably anyone else in their lives. After their break up it became just so toxic between them and I'm surprised they both remained in the group as long as they did. Though Stevie did leave the group too for awhile after LB did.
poh, pooh, linds... thinks he is better than Stevie because some gold digger got pregnant with two of his kids before he married her... and now she filed for divorce ... LOL what a guy...
I am a huge fan of Lindsey and think he was THE creative force in Fleetwood Mac....but, let it go Lindsey. Or make more all time great songs like "Go Your Own Way."
not much happened with the OLD fleetwood mac till lindsey and stevie came on board to start the NEW fleetwood mac. lindsey noticed that in the very first practice together nobody was taking the leadership role in the group so he took command of the group from then on. he says this in an interview he did with conan o'brien that i found here on YT.
The band wanted to tour and make some cash and Lindsey wanted to work on his solo albums. Then the band said OK will tour and hire some other guitarist's until your ready to tour so Lindsey said he would sue the band. So they fired him. Team Stevie!!
That's not how it happened. Lindsey was fine going on tour with the group as long as he can also do his own tour when the band had a break between schedules. Stevie gave Mick an ultimatum it was her or Lindsey. Mick gave in to Stevie. Word has it Stevie was upset with Lindsey about an alleged smirk when she was giving a loooong speech at Music Cares. Looking at the video John and Lindsey were talking. Mick and Christine were doing the tango behind Stevie's back. Why wasn't she angry at Mick and Christine hamming up?
@@einezcrespo2107 I don't know seems like everyone was waiting for Lindsey and rightfully so with McVie passing away A lot of fans will never get to see the best version of the band. But Lindsey got his 12 million and the world goes on.
@@einezcrespo2107You prove you know nothing but nothing about them. The relationship between Stevie and Lindsey has ALWAYS been complex and toxic. She was rude, that's for sure, but Lindsey took it on different level being even aggressive towards her or towards the other like Ken Caillat. Stevie has many good things to say about Lindsey but also many horrible things that put him in a bad light. She had terrible experiences with him during Say You Will tour and that's the reason why she didn't want to record new songs with the band and that's the reason why she insisted on Mick to bring Christine back (!) 'cause she wanted to carry on with them but only on the condition having her soulmate back (Christine said about it in an Interview!). That Lindsey's smirking was only a final touch! And I don't blame her. It was obvious that one of them would have enough some day! But it was NOT the only reason why he was fired - he never treated well FM stuff (he is even known for that!) and he insisted on band MANY TIMES to postpone their tour 'cause he wanted to have time for his solo project. And when the band had enough he threatened them he would leave. He behaved like a big baby! Maybe Christine was lucky to be with him on good and calm terms as well as John in later years but unfortunately Stevie didn't have that luck then and it's really IDIOTIC and UNFAIR to put all the blame on her while Lindsey's never been saint neither!
With Nicks having two giant chips on her shoulders. Lindsey is right: this was just Stevie's way of "getting even" with Lindsey, as she seemingly couldn't get over Lindsey finding who he calls his soulmate and marrying, whereas she remained pretty much alone. And to think that during the recording of Rumours, Stevie hit the sack with Mick Fleetwood, while still being in a relationship with Lindsey..... I still believe Fleetwood Mac made the wrong choice: instead of Lindsey, they should have given Stevie the boot.
@tjroelsma yeah, and didn't Stevie screw joe Walsh and Don Henley too? The silver springs video where she stares accusingly at Lindsey makes me laugh and roll my eyes. "Was I just a fool?" No, Stevie, you were just very horny.
All that is known about Lindsey is his on again off again romance with Stevie then he met his wife which he is still with. Stevie on the other hand was with Lindsey, Mick Fleetwood, Don Henley, JD Souther, Kim Anderson, Jimmie Lovine and Joe Walsh and those are just the public ones, so when she writes a song about you regarding true love is it really a big thing? Her romance with Mick was the key that set Lindsey free to find another.....they should write a song about it..
Sometimes a woman loves a man so much and for so long that when she is tired of it going back and forth and she has had ENOUGH- she does something stupid so that it ends for good. ANYTHING to not regret wasting your life with someone who though you love them, and they love you, their drinking or whatever makes you finally break the thread that holds you together after years of putting up with it. The love will always be there, like it or not, but there is baggage in the relationship that needs to be put aside. It's rough, but you just keep on living and "loving" others, knowing that you met and were with your soulmate but on this earth, they are no longer good for you, if they ever were. You will be with them on the other side someday. You kind of live for it.
@wca- Not true. We know quite a bit about Lindsey. He had a number of girlfriends, before, during and after Stevie. Actually, his girlfriend and then fiance' Carol Ann Harris who was with Lindsey for eight years after the break up with Stevie, wrote a book about it. From everything to their life on tour, to Lindsey's physical abuse of her to the partying and binge d r u g use of the entire band. Not just Stevie and Mick. You notice that nothing was denied nor were there any lawsuits against Carol Ann over anything that was mentioned in her book. That's rather revealing. From what I have read, Lindsey and Kristen Messner live separately. And btw, Stevie did write a song about her fling with Mick Fleetwood.
@@einezcrespo2107 Ok but who cares? It's really UNFAIR to fall a shame on Stevie only because she had many boyfriends! Lindsey had many girlfriends as well. While Stevie was working for them both Lindsey was flirting with a lot of girls around. It's a fact that he was making their Buckingham Nicks album but he still had enough time to go to work and help Stevie but instead of that he sat on his lazy ass and drunk, took drugs and of course had flings with girls ...
They went to high school together at Melo Atherton High School. I worked with someone who went to school with them. Stevie was a sophomore & Lindsey was a senior and Water Polo star!
LB got himself kicked out of FM, hell he's even kicked SN on stage. He is immature and so jealous of Stevie. I don't blame her for finally saying enough,no one should have to put up with shit in their job in their life. Life is too short to be miserable. She seems so much happier in her solo concerts and the last Fleetwood Mac without Lindsay there. Of course she would be. Doesn't have to worry about someone kicking her or mocking her. And another thing she could have had children if she wanted she could have any man she wants out there.
The reality is Lindsey being probably one of the most underated guitarist in the world was and probably is resentful of stevies ongoing sucess it has nothing to do with love stevie will always be the queen of rock n roll❤❤
I was always a fan of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks but in the middle of building a family of four children I realised Stevie Nicks had not children. Years later when it was clear it was too late for Stevie to have her own children I was saddened deeply. But no one really knows why some people have children and others don't. I just hope she is happy with the way her life unfolded.
I do think, that Stevie has been very jealous that Lindsey married and started a beautiful family. I think that's the reason that she made him black, tellling people he had a temper. Maybe he had, but he loved her and she drove him crazy. She kicked him out of the band, replacing him with Neil Finn out of jealousy and anger. Maybe she wanted him to mourn over her the rest of his life. After all, in her head Lindsey was her lover. I believe Lindsey was her teacher, he was the genius, but Stevie found out that she could sell her albums without him and didn't accepeted him being the genius. Lovers in the music scene never ends well.
Poor Stevie. She was unlucky when she got into a relationship, when she was young, with a narcissist and break it off. For the rest of her life she will suffer Lindsey's narcissistic rage and blatant attempts to undermine and hurt her.
Oh please, there is absolutely nothing poor about Stevie. Only them two know the real reasons behind their very public break up. It's all everyone cares about and talks about. It's a wonder the rest of the band didn't just walk away with the world caring more about that shit rather than the band itself. So stupid. How can two people move on with shit like that? Seriously? No one can!
Most people change and evolve a great deal after their high school years. It’s not surprising that Stevie and Lindsey grew and became much different people than they had been in high school. Nevertheless, both were and continue to be brilliant musicians. ❤❤
Okay, as much as I love Stevie Nicks, (and I do!) I'm tired of Stevie blaming Lindsay for everything. If it wasn't for Lindsay, the two of them would have never been in Fleetwood Mac. The band didn't want her, only him, and he said "it's either both of us or nothing." And Stevie keeps saying that he crushed her and she's going to haunt him forever. Well, let me just say, it couldn't have been very easy for Lindsay all those years playing on stage with her, knowing the whole time that he was in the shadow of Don Henley. Stevie's song Highwayman was written for Don Henley and she chased him for years after they split. I don't blame Lindsay for not wanting to be second. best or in Don's shadow and he needs to stop being Stevie's whipping boy. There's no doubt that their relationship was tumultuous, but Stevie needs to take at least half, if not more, of the blame. IJS 💖
Funny comments. I dont know any of these people but LB has stated in many interviews it was not his idea to break up. Stevie didnt stay married realizing it was a mistake. She has had a full life with many loves and an amazing life. Their own words not mine. Love them both❤

I know others can relate to what i say! Hey you have a great day!
Whats with the comment on the album Stevie and Lindsey did together as having “Buckingham Nicks plastered on it.” Was it supposed to be anonymous? Weird way to comment about that album. 🤷🏼♀️
Not really. He is widely respected as a guitarist, always included in the top guitarist lists, a songwriter, singer, and producer. And I would prefer to see him perform over her anyday. Where there was great emotion, there was great feeling and it gave us unbelievable music. Remember he pushed for her to join Fleetwood Mac as they only wanted him. I don't care about her record sales compared to his. Popularity is subjective. He is the superior talent in my subjective opinion.
He wanted to get married, but she didn't want to. She's said that she already felt married to him. But he was controlling, and she wanted her independence.
He's so manipulative and full of it. He's a great guitarist, a great songwriter, and a lousy person who seems to have never truly grown up. His ego must make it unbearable to be around him. My god it's been 50 years. Stop talking about her and trying to twist the narrative. The band turned their backs on you not her.
Its simply amazing how complicated life is for everyone. I mean simply looking back at the lives of Nicks and Buckinigham and how the path of their lives played out.........
None of this is true, he did not play session work in calf. He didn’t work at all Stevie was holding two jobs and was getting pissed cus all he did was smoke potassium when Stevie got home she would have to throw everyone out so they could practice
That is very true, lol. But it's because of him that she didn't continue to clean houses. Both of them were a force... Lindsey deserved to win in the end though. Just saying. lol. Can't count on one hand the number of times Stevie "fell in love".
There is no doubt,no, not one that dating him and living with him and supporting him financially and trying to be a teal Life partner was a bit of hell on earth.
Well I don't know about his "loyalty " to her concerning the entrance into Fleetwood Mac....I don't think Lindsey would have made it as far as he did , without her at the helm of everything ....and l think deep down he knew it. She was the driving force in the beginning and the duration of not only him...but the group in its entirety. I also theorize, that he had an arrogance and a bit of a megalomania about himself, which spurned JEALOUSY, ON HIS PART.
Right, he refused to join without her, she pointed hom to the door. Thing is, Buckingham is a real musician. I think the prima donna was jealous of his musical partnership with and tour with Christine, who was also a real musician

It's called Passion
Cool nemory
The turmoil btw Stevie and Lindsey during Rumours could have been described by including the story of how Stevie’s song “Silver Springs” (which was all about their relationship) wasn’t included on the album. But then in 97 it was formally included after which Stevie sang the song AT Lindsey on stage. If that performance didn’t pull you into into the conflict then you might wanna check yourself for a pulse. It was EXQUISITE and remains my fave song of theirs 😍👏🏻👍🏻
Ya, and Mick instead let Lyndsay's Go Your Own Way on the album, the song he wrote about Stevie.

@@farrahfrench7690 And she's a shameless woman-get a life. She's been awful to him for ages.

Because we wanted them to stay a couple and to also keep the band
It just seems so fascinating! They made SUCH GOOD music. And their relationship was in jeopardy the whole time! I just want to know what happened. (While actually being a part of their lives!) I've read a great deal about FM over the years and like in so many places here the author makes a fundamental mistake in describing Peter Green as "one of the founding members". He is the founder of Fleetwood Mac. He told Mick and John he was forming his own band and he wanted them both in it. John said no at first but joined later. This is well documented. History should be reported accurately without exception.

"The album" received mega radio airplay on all three major L.A. FM radio stations. They were stars immediately you can hear it there.
Corrections:
In the beginning, Lindsey Buckingham brought in Stevie Nicks to his band Fritz.
No Lindsay, I think Stevie is very much over you! Stop with the ego. You’re the problem.
They were both the problem. I'm sure if you asked the band, they would be fed up with both of them and world for focusing on that shit instead of the band.

This same man’s channel is always like that. I’m instantly disappointed when I hear his voice, but then often stay to the end, only for him to be super repetitive.

If it's not news from the last 36 hours, chances are even money that it will turn out to be one of these Joe Nobody voiceovers of a collage of images and soundless video. Think about that: the news is now more reputable than half of UA-cam "influencers". Thanks for responding.
Sunshine and rainbows said 2x in 1st 5 minutes lol
Lindsey was the glue, he was the best musician, wrote and arranged most of the music and wrote or cowrote more than 1/2 the songs. Just not the same without him.
Disrespectful behavior gets you nowhere, and kicked out. And the one who gets kicked out won't apologize or have enough self-awareness to correct oneself with humility. If you have self-respect, don't tolerate others' toxic disrespectful behavior. Ego-oriented people do nothing but blame others, and never see themselves to blame.
What about Stevie and Mick? No mention of that event.
Lindsey - Bad
Stevie - Good
Meanwhile if you read up on the history of the two professionally and privately you will realize how much Lindsey and Christine made the band.
I read another article where SN describes her “song writing style” of a couple lines here and there but the band comes in with the lyrical chorus, the band comes up with the music and Lindsey arranges the song with the help of Christine… 🙄
I’m sitting there with a raised eyebrow thinking… they pretty much made her.
Sounds like they survived a lot of drama, Stevie has also talked about the abortion she had from her relationship with Don Henley, I think she might be regretting that.
and besides.. NOBODY would know her name if Lindsay Buckingham had not INSISTED she be included
Lindsay, scorned and after alllll these years he still can't get over it, besides he wasn't the star of Fleetwood Mac and he knows it

I am a huge fan of Lindsey and think he was THE creative force in Fleetwood Mac....but, let it go Lindsey. Or make more all time great songs like "Go Your Own Way."
Seems like Stevie threw Lindsay under the bus. Maybe she was envious of Lindsay. It seems like she forgot how she started
not much happened with the OLD fleetwood mac till lindsey and stevie came on board to start the NEW fleetwood mac. lindsey noticed that in the very first practice together nobody was taking the leadership role in the group so he took command of the group from then on. he says this in an interview he did with conan o'brien that i found here on YT.
The band wanted to tour and make some cash and Lindsey wanted to work on his solo albums. Then the band said OK will tour and hire some other guitarist's until your ready to tour so Lindsey said he would sue the band. So they fired him. Team Stevie!!
Exactly! I also have heard that his firing was not only because of his feuds with Stevie. He mainly brought his firing to himself.
Two big talents; two big egos.
Talent? LB yes. Stevie? Billy- goat voiced? 😂
What’s new? Just the same old information any fleetwood Mac fan would already know!
Well, that’s really right. A lot of the information I didn’t know. Thank you. I enjoyed it.
Man 😂😂😂😂 But you know they're divorced and Karen already has a new boyfriend 😂😂😂?
Also Rupert Hines and Dave Stewart said he had a fling with Stevie.
Music made from the relationships is the gift they gave us 🎉
They went to high school together at Melo Atherton High School. I worked with someone who went to school with them. Stevie was a sophomore & Lindsey was a senior and Water Polo star!
Stevie Nicks birthday is May 26, 1948. Lindsay Buckingham Oct 3, 1949. Stevie was two years ahead of Lindsay.

ROCK ON WE DO
LB got himself kicked out of FM, hell he's even kicked SN on stage.
She was pregnant once, but choose to abort
Not any man she wanted. She couldn't have Bruce especially with Patti being a member of eStreet band
Apparently she is extremely close to her deceased best friends daughter .Even paying for her to go to college . Like the children she never had
@@irenemcguire4881 I am glad that she has that relationship. Cheers.
Lovers in the music scene never ends well.
sounds to me like Buckingham is a bit of a narcissist..
There is something "mystical" about Stevie Nicks. Such a gifted singer and composer.
Haven't exactly been sending xmas cards to eachother love the humor in this 😂😂✨️great documentary 👏
excellent, so much work went into that . Well done
this is so repetitive, but still informative..thank you
Poor Stevie. She was unlucky when she got into a relationship, when she was young, with a narcissist and break it off. For the rest of her life she will suffer Lindsey's narcissistic rage and blatant attempts to undermine and hurt her.
Exactly….classic narcissist behavior
Really that goes both ways
WRONG.. LB MOVED ON 25 YEARS AGO. MARRIED WITH 3 KIDS... SN IS OLD N ANGRY AT 76... SN IS MARRIED TO HER DOG.

Seriously? No one can!
I don't think she realizes it was a narcissistic relationship. It was a trauma bond, I can hear it in the songs.
Lindsey and Don Felder should form a group with Ross Valory and Steve Smith , They were all kicked out of their groups because of internal politics.
Funny I said this about Buckingham and Felder ages ago. Suggesting they called themselves “The Unwanted “
The Greatest Hard Pop band of the 1970s
I find it very ironic that his name is feminine one, and hers is masculine...
IJS 💖
@@ladyphoenyx455 Well said. I agree.

OMG QUIT GIVING MILEY CYRUS CREDIT.
She is more talented & still popular. Lindsey is jealous!
I think Stevie and Lindsay are jealous of each other. Watch videos of their performances. They try to outdo each other.
Except that he has something she doesn't: A wife and kids.
Sadly just wish Lindsey would have asked Stevie early on to get married.
There wouldn't have ever been any Fleetwood Mac had Peter Green not created Fleetwood Mac.
It always is put on Lindsay. If you read a book that was written by Lindsey's girlfriend Carol Ann Harris. Stevie's just as much to blame.
There's always two sides to every story, then theres the truth 😊
