I loved Stevie from the moment that I first heard the Rumors album when it was released. I have to say, there were lyrics that I just heard in this concert today that I could never quite make out clearly even on the original recordings (her annunciation and technology both improved over the years).

I was at this concert back in 1987 and as I’ve mentioned before, there is a quick clip of me in the video. Tonight , 11/4/2023 ….. 36 years later, I saw Stevie in concert in Allentown PA. She was awesome.
Hey what's the video time on the clip when you're quickly shown? If you don't mind I'd like to see it. I've never seen her in concert but even throughout her videos I'm there! She takes me there! Hopefully I'll see her live!
I live 20 minutes from Red Rocks. Went to many concerts there over the years! I’m very lucky it’s in my back yard. Didn’t see this concert, but did see Fleetwood Mac there in the early 90’s.
I'm 66 and we rocked the roof of our house in college with this, singing at the top of our lungs and twirling the way that everyone just KNOWS who you're referring to. Had my share of Stevie Nicks dresses to twirl around in, too. I really loved, still love, Stevie and Tom Petty. They made magic. ❤❤❤

She stopped the show and was pleading to please return it as it was a ring her grandmother gave her. Ohhhhh how I wish I was there to see her perform live at Red Rocks. She has always been my fav female singer ever since I first heard her on the radio back in the early 80's. What a voice.
They are both so different, and both awesome voices and aesthetics, I wouldn't want to choose, just enjoy them both. That saying I'm here on Stevie's concert video commenting, so there's that... Such a creative force....
Ann Wilson is 100 times the vocalist that Stevie Nicks could ever pretend to be. Stevie Nicks had a unique voice early on (pre-1980), but a gram an hour for years destroyed what abilities she had, and her voice turned into nothing more than a raspy croak. Ann Wilson is the consummate professional, while Stevie needed a dozen "staff" just to get her to shows. Ann Wilson is one of the nicest people you could ever meet, while Stevie was a demanding beast with an ego bigger than the hole in her nose. I will never understand why people still think she's some great talent.
This lady has been my husband's muse since day one,I am sure that whatever she asked of him he would have obliged her.having said that I have admired her myself, you rock Stevie.❤❤❤❤❤

I really got into the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks aged about 12 or 13 thanks to my high school friends Mum’s record collection. Been a fan ever since and their music got me through recovery from a coma in 2018 and really blew me away took me to elsewhere in my mind as I was so poorly but kind of feeling reborn. Never seen in concert, was supposed to go to reunion concert a few years ago but fell ill. Was gutted!!!!
Two months after this concert was filmed, Stevie went to rehab at the Betty Ford Center. She wrote about this experience in the Fleetwood Mac song “Welcome to the Room, Sara.” Stevie’s cocaine abuse was so out of control during this concert that they had to reshoot many of the close-ups in a studio later. You could actually see cocaine on her nostrils during many of the close-up shots from the concert, so those shots have all been replaced with footage shot on a later date.
@@luna945Same here! I wondered if she was purposefully looking at the camera during the performance. It makes sense now after learning they did a reshoot.
@@BrianCormackCarrNot a couple of years, but a few months later. She went into rehab at the Betty Ford Center after the Rock A Little was over in late 1986. She went into the studio in early 1987 to dub over her vocals from the concert with a stronger sounding voice and to perform the whole concert again for additional closeups. It wasn’t unusual to re-record vocals and head shots in the 80’s. Look at the tv series Moonlightjng from 1985-1989. Many of Cybil Shepherd’s closeups were reshot to be more flattering. Unfortunately, the later shots are obvious because Stevie is noticeably thinner than she appeared in concert a few months earlier, her hair is straighter, and her face is more made-up.
@@jimhaggard7436Yes, it's a pity they weren't able to blend these new shots in more seamlessly. It works in very 'produced' media like TV series and films, but looks really noticeable in something that's supposed to be live. I know it's common to shoot more than one show for a live concert release, and to select the best version from each one to create a final 'in concert' presentation - but that's usually done literally days apart, or on consecutive days, so the costume, hair, lighting etc is virtually identical (even then it can be noticeable). The long gap here - and, as you say, the noticeably different appearance - just makes it stand out. I tend to just allow myself to see it as "a combination of a live show and studio-shot video presentation". It's still a great show.
@@BrianCormackCarr I love the Live at Red Rocks concert, despite its flaws. I think it was filmed twice there and one of her biographies mentions that Mick Fleetwood volunteered to keep her company after the concert. They removed and reapplied her makeup for closeups. An example of one of these is during the line “love is a word and some entertain it. If you find it you have won the game,” from Outside the Rain. One closeup is from the night of the concert “after hours” and the next closeup is during Dreams and is filmed later with pinker less nude lipstick.
@@jimhaggard7436These close-up shots you were talking about No she didn't go back and re-record this for these close-ups etc All them close up shots are from the videos of the songs period I thought you would know that I mean it's the music video that's all no rerecording and stuff like that Not saying it don't happen I'm just saying it didn't happen with this That's just a video that's all You don't take my word for it go watch it

@@AnonymousSourcesConfidential if anyone falls in love , I think it takes me back to my youth , thinking of my parents , childhood home , how the world was a different place . ( I have a good life , it’s just pure nostalgia, haven’t heard this song in a long time )
@@Tamar-sz8ox I see. How old are you now? Where are you from?
Tamar I know that feeling, it's simple, if you know you know. ❤
Ohhhhh how I wish I was there to see her perform live at Red Rocks. She has always been my fav female singer ever since I first heard her on the radio back in the early 80's. What a voice.
We were there! Such a great concert!!! There were thunderstorms flashing east of Denver that added to the experience! Great memories!!!
I have this on vhs. I've been looking for this for years . Love it .
Stevie Nicks or Ann Wilson?
Stevie: Like
Ann: Comment
Both and Nancy Wilson too. Just saw Heart
@@alisonannallyallen1437 Saw Heart a few months ago. Amazing. Ann and Stevie- 1 and 2
They are both so different, and both awesome voices and aesthetics, I wouldn't want to choose, just enjoy them both. That saying I'm here on Stevie's concert video commenting, so there's that... Such a creative force....
I can't pick!! BOTH Queens!!!
Danke für die Performance ❤❤❤
My favorite of her songs. She is so awesome ❤❤❤
This lady has been my husband's muse since day one,I am sure that whatever she asked of him he would have obliged her.having said that I have admired her myself, you rock Stevie.❤❤❤❤❤

I never got the chance to see fleetwoodmac perform in person I would have loved to see stevie Nick's sing ❤
She was freaking awesome! Both times!
Beautiful music Beautiful place❤
I really got into the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks aged about 12 or 13 thanks to my high school friends Mum’s record collection. Been a fan ever since and their music got me through recovery from a coma in 2018 and really blew me away took me to elsewhere in my mind as I was so poorly but kind of feeling reborn. Never seen in concert, was supposed to go to reunion concert a few years ago but fell ill. Was gutted!!!!
Everything is awesome here.
Stevie, the Band, the Location.
The Concert, however, is MUCH to short
Two months after this concert was filmed, Stevie went to rehab at the Betty Ford Center. She wrote about this experience in the Fleetwood Mac song “Welcome to the Room, Sara.” Stevie’s cocaine abuse was so out of control during this concert that they had to reshoot many of the close-ups in a studio later. You could actually see cocaine on her nostrils during many of the close-up shots from the concert, so those shots have all been replaced with footage shot on a later date.
I would love see how much blow she could do?damn, ordinary weekend user would have had a heart attack.
18:23 is from the actual concert where her hair is messier n real hehe
Thanks for the info. Was wondering why there were polished closeup shots edited in.
I thought the polished closeups were just an 80s thing.
@@luna945Same here! I wondered if she was purposefully looking at the camera during the performance. It makes sense now after learning they did a reshoot.
Stevie ❤ eine Welt für sich, einfach nur sensationell 🫶🫶🇩🇪 Einfach meine WELT Ever !!! 💞💞💞
Use to have this on VHS, watched it several times. She always seems really high and most of the close ups seem like there from other performance.
She filmed the close-ups separately a couple of years later in preparation for the video release.
@@jimhaggard7436These close-up shots you were talking about No she didn't go back and re-record this for these close-ups etc All them close up shots are from the videos of the songs period I thought you would know that I mean it's the music video that's all no rerecording and stuff like that Not saying it don't happen I'm just saying it didn't happen with this That's just a video that's all You don't take my word for it go watch it
Sencillamente, espectacular!!!...Entre las mejores voces de las solistas en inglés, la de Stevie, una de las más bellas...Ella misma, tan bella como siempre!!!
Always loved this concert, in particular this version of 'Beauty and the Beast'.
I wore the VHS tape of this out. Thank you Stevie.
