I saw her live at Jones beach last night. Her voice is awesome and she is beautiful.she was so responsive to the fans and shook hands and excepted gifts from everyone at the front of the stage.I love her and she is the best female performer.I go way back to the 70`s with her
Stevie re: Prince when she was recording the song "he walked over to the synthesizers that were set up, was absolutely brilliant for about twenty five minutes, and then left. He was so uncanny, so wild, he spoiled me for every band I’ve ever had because nobody can exactly re-create-not even with two piano players-what Prince did all by his little self."
Gorgeous. That's how I describe Stevie Nicks. She looks amazing here. And sounds awesome. Love this song, one of my favorites. That hair was typical of that decade. I was 16 in 1987, that is how we styled it. My oldest daughter jokes that our hair had its own zip code. Maybe, but we thought it was cool.
She is a Goddess. She doesnt have to move around the stage too much because she knows who she is. Beautiful. She hastnt changed much in 30 years. In her interviews she is always sincere about herself. I love her and her songs!!!!

This is my favorite performance of this song. I like that they changed the tempo up a bit which gave it a little bit of a different mood which is fantastic
Well...one of the reasons her eyes REALLY STAND OUT, is because there was an incredible amount of "studio soundstage video re-takes" done of Nicks, after the tour had ended and those re-takes were spliced, morphed and mixed back into the film roll. She was not happy with the original close-ups of her and requested most of them be re-done and inserted. It's EXTREMELY hard to have such an extreme close contact with the lens of a moving target film camera, when one is one stage, singing, dancing, swaying LIVE...and...ah-hum...drugged. Yup ladies & gentlemen, that's how that dealio went down. BCRadio
@mscubana The synthesizer riff was specially made for Stevie Nicks by Prince. Played by a great keyboard player (Christine McVie)... the result is of course, excellent.
Amo estás Joyas de Melodías ,que vos tan más Combicente tiene Steve Nicks.grazie pur poner estos vídeos ,ya que con estas hermosos recuerdos me regreso Amis Años De Juventud.
Put yourself in her shoes...Do Not Be So Negative about the drugs. I would love to see the people that post negative shit go through what she did!!! No one knows until they've lived in those shoes!!!
she does beltout a banger .. i rekon she deliberatly sang this different as a lot of artist tend to do for live performances .. and i think she got it right
I've listened to a few versions of this track and this is easily the best one! Featured on 'The Chain', 25 years of Fleetwood Mac. I am so glad my mother forced me to listen to this band as a child. I can't think of anything I'm more grateful to her for. Even my birth!
Here are the lyrics, if anyone is interested: No one looked, as I walked by Just an invitation would have been just fine Said no to him, again and again First he took my heart, then he ran No one knows how I feel What I say unless you read between my lines One man walked away from me First he took my hand, take me home[Chorus] Stand back, stand back In the middle of my room I did not hear from you It's alright, it's alright To be standing in a line (standing in a line) I would cry Do not turn away my friend Like a willow I can bend No man calls my name No man came So I walked on down away from you Maybe your attention was more Than you could do One man did not call He asked me for my love And that was all[Chorus] So I walked on down the line Away from you Maybe your attention was more Than I could do One man, did not call Well he asked me for my love That was all

I remember seeing this tour in Pittsburh in early Oct 1987. It was probably the 10th stop on the tour. I just remember being in total shock that Fleetwood Mac was playing a Stevie Nicks solo standard. They also played Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You during this concert. Stevie just got off a successful solo tour and if it was like the Mac wanted to play to her fans. This song rocked and freaked everyone out during this tour though.
This video was filmed at the Cow Palace in San Franciso. I don't know the exact date but it was the Tango in the Night Tour in 1987. I'm glad you were able to see them in Pittsburg on this Tour. I could have been there at the Cow Palace on that Tour but I found out about it after it happened. I was able to see them at the Concord Pavilion and the Oakland Coliseum on the Behind the Mask Tour in 1990 though.
I've been in love with Stevie Nicks for over 30 years. Even now...at age 64 (!)...she's still as gorgeous as ever. Love you forever, my gypsy. Patrick P. Montreal, Canada
Fantastic version of the song! I get goose bumops everytime I watch it. And the DVD isn't too bad either. Run out and grab it if you haven't. I'm glad that the Mac always perform this song. The energy of this song is awesome. I've seen it live and I screamed everytime! I play it really really loud in my car, which has Stevie Nicks rego plates just so everyone else within a 10 km radius can appreciate it as well. "Embarrassed?" you might say? Never! This song is an anthem!
I saw this tour at Clemson University, Littlejohn Coliseum. It was the tour of "The Girls". This is the most blistering performance of this song she ever gave. She and Rick kicked it up a full beat. Enjoy and comprehend the talent that you see.
Lived not far down Ravenswood Avenue from Miss Nick's high school in Menlo Park when Rumors hit. You cannot imagine how big it was. Mir. Buckingham is my favorite guitarist-composer. Earlier influencer was Mr. Greg Lake from Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
As of last night, Stevie has retired her solo tours..she'll be appearing in Octover to promote her documentary and then thats it until next year when she reunites with FM..you deserve a chance to rest and relax.. Stevie you have made many many peeps very happy..enjoy your retirement..
Christine is the under rated star of the band 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yes she was! ❤
Indeed!
Toda la razón ❤

I shook her hand in Vienna 1987 !
I have to say Stevie is the only artist that literally gives me chills, there is by far no one else like her, and never will be.
Yep, Taylor hold my beer
There was never a worst period in her career..the woman was and still is fabulous.
Worst part of her career? What? She only made $5 million that year?
@@jimbanter 1986 - 1994 when she was taking klonopin , which she says is her biggest regret
This performance of this song is what got me into Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. Stevie’s vocals are epic as are Christine’s synth work.
Stevie re: Prince when she was recording the song "he walked over to the synthesizers that were set up, was absolutely brilliant for about twenty five minutes, and then left. This is the best performance of that song.

There's only one Stevie Nicks. Stand back - Written and truly nailed here
Song was inspired by Little Red Corvette... Prince actually came to the studio for Stevie Nicks and helped arrange it and played those synth parts.
My god wow....still, after all these years. I hope she's doing fine...
I miss this music, it's nice to be able to come here and go back in time.
That hair is incredible!
She is a Goddess. She doesnt have to move around the stage too much because she knows who she is. Beautiful. She hastnt changed much in 30 years. In her interviews she is always sincere about herself. I love her and her songs!!!!
Christine McVie rocking the absolute shit out of those synth parts!! What an underrated musician. She is a wizard!!
I love watching her shake her ass too
You are so right...Christine does not get the kudos she deserves
she's gets it. lots of documentaries on her and the band .
This version is better than the original overall.... Christine’s synths are what make this live version the best
Dean Latimer-Russell
- I don't underrate her. Christine is a supreme talent - vocals, keyboards, lyricist.
Stevie nicks big 80's hair wow !!
SO UNDERRATED... this should have been the single of the year.
I love this version!!!! Gotta say though, seeing Christine pounding out the synthesizer just makes me miss her more!!!
Love the synthesizer in this song 🌸

Stevie is a Gorgeous Singer.
Yes she is!!!!!
She has an unusual quality to her voice. Quite deep and rough in places, but just sort of expressive and "cool"
This is my favorite performance of this song. I like that they changed the tempo up a bit which gave it a little bit of a different mood which is fantastic
Definitely one of the best versions of Stand Back. The drums were amp'd up more than usual...everything was flawless.
Never mind her energy here as well!+
Having two guitarists was also huge for this song, especially on the section with Vito's solo, with Burnette playing the riff underneath.
I love it that you never hear the same version twice. Still the queen!! 🔮🎩
Best Mac line-up ever, Rick Vito and Billy Burnett were GREAT!
Still my favourite ❤
Stevie, the Best forever!!! 🙂🙂🙂
😘😘
I love her sad eyes!
I would love to see those deep brown eyes staring at me while I make love to her in a fancy hotel suite ....

One true 80's song, From a good singer.
jesus christ what a voice - phenomenal - god imagine if she walked out on American idol as an unknown and unleashed that!
yeah, most of the younger generation really do not know who Fleetwood Mac is, more for us to enjoy.
I love your name on here ;D*
Her voice is amazing!
This particular version of this song could easily be my favourite song ever!
Never seen her hair this blonde..her voice sounds amazing here
Justmiss jamey she went gray really
Really?! Wow never knew that!!!
Her sound is always amazing. Seems her people never have a bad night
@@minnash4m Not true. This was 1987. That's platinum blonde.
Stevie owned a good supply of wigs I read.
Wigs would probably be easier than all that bleach and backcombing, which would make it fall out sooner or later.

Theres nothing wrong with drugs..... I fucking love coke & E's Great stuff!
Eileen Pitman so true
Some of the best songs of our time were written while on drugs.
Drugs are great but Steve couldn’t handle hers.
Drugs ruined her voice. This is a phony video that they sweetened with dubbed vocals and better close-ups when she was in better shape.
FREAKING AWESOME BEAUTIFUL JUST BEAUTIFUL
she sounds to be in top form here,,,brilliant performance gives me chills..again.
She is amazing.. Solo.. I love the band.. How did I not know these songs
This is the best version of it live i think!
GREAT.... i saw this before i had even heard the studio version.
I love Stevie Knicks, drum to her music all night long ...... she rocks !!!!!!
I was 15 girl in 1987 , remember that Video
I was 17
Goosebumps on my arms as I listen to this song.. what an amazing energy it has 😳

Como suena mi Dios eso era música amigos !!!!!!
Here are the lyrics, if anyone is interested:
No one looked, as I walked by
Just an invitation would have been just fine
Said no to him, again and again
First he took my heart, then he ran
No one knows how I feel
What I say unless you read between my lines
One man walked away from me
First he took my hand, take me home[Chorus]
Stand back, stand back
In the middle of my room
I did not hear from you
It's alright, it's alright
To be standing in a line
(standing in a line)
I would cry
Do not turn away my friend
Like a willow I can bend
No man calls my name
No man came
So I walked on down away from you
Maybe your attention was more
Than you could do
One man did not call
He asked me for my love
And that was all[Chorus]
So I walked on down the line
Away from you
Maybe your attention was more
Than I could do
One man, did not call
Well he asked me for my love
That was all
Nope
Thanks for posting the lyrics.

The Tango in the Night Tour was awesome!!!
Amazing.. always a great band... And the Stevie Nicks great voice...
I like the way Christine McVie enjoys the song by dancing 8-)

I love the double vocal thing they did for this performance. It sounds so unusual but in a really awesome way.
she is the godess. love her
This song catapults me back to the early 80s so vividly its crazy. Great tune. Stevie Rocks. First time hearing this version. Not bad at all.
