- This is a cold start of my 1947 Indian Chief Lucy. She has at this point been sitting for over a month since I last rode her. This is the normal cold start process to get her running.
Awesome machine!
Very nice! I have a 46 Chief, love it.
Nice ... and very nice 4 on the back to .
Thank you. I appreciate it!
I don't think that I have seen many in that beautiful condition these days and even the original chain guard.
All them priming kicks are totally uneccessary, if a bike is run regular.
One kick, like my old Scout, was all that was needed.
very nice
I bought the exact Motorcycle in Arkansas for $75
in 1966 the machine was used in Hill Claiming and the Fairings and Covers were gone. I am 74 Years old and cannot remember what happened to it. I think I traded it for a Guitar Amplifier Fender Bassman with 4 12inch Speakers.
Back in 1970 I had a 1947 that was sitting outside in a snow bank for a couple months and I kicked it over (slowly, the oil was very thick) and it started on the 2nd kick!
