I'm gonna have to assess you a penalty due to lack of alpacas contained in the video. Through the pits once.
Nooooo! Brad not the pits. Anything but the pits!
Can we get an f in the chat for strat who’s now in the pits

You CAN adjust the SRB thrust curve in stock. Just map the SRB thrust limiter to throttle and you can adjust it retroactively.
That is true, but I dislike that option since it essentially turns the SRB into a bad liquid fuel engine. Part of the fun is that you can't adjust the throttle after they are fired.
@@Stratzenblitz75 Idk if your definition of stock includes DLC but you could use the controller from breaking ground if you could get the timing right
Wait you can do that? That's pretty interesting.
Smells like cheating to me.
Edit: Which is a dumb scent to pick up on, since the solution was to clip parts together.
Mapping the thrust limiter to throttle sounds like cheating, but mapping the thrust limiter to the breaking ground controller to play through a set thrust profile just sounds like a stock solution to me!
Well, hello again everyone! It's nice to see you so soon! I'm trying to be more productive in video making and so I'm hoping to move towards a bi-monthly to weekly upload schedule. Of course, the scale of these projects will smaller, but I'm hoping they will be entertaining and valuable nonetheless. I've neglected lots of interesting small ideas in the past and I feel it would be good to start making them into videos for the channel.
Large projects will always have a place on this channel too. In fact, I'm hoping that working on these smaller projects will give me more practice to make my ambitious projects even better.
Also, huge thanks to Bradley Whistance for creating this challenge and for helping me with piloting and doing experiments! I've learned a ton from him and I can't thank him enough for that.
As always, please let me know what you think!
How you 2 min
nice
Go for it :)
Hey could you tell me the coordinates for the runway? Thanks.
@Stratzenblitz75 I'm pretty sure you can use the KAL-1000 controller from the Breaking Ground DLC to create thrust curves. It is a bit of an exploit, and I'm not sure if you wanted to do this DLC-free, but it is an option nonetheless.
Loving the green line river graphics at the end there btw.
Thank you! Those trails are from persistent trails, which is surprisingly still being maintained for KSP despite how old it is!
@@Stratzenblitz75 well, looks like the mod is persistent

Happy to hear Chris Christodoulou outside of ROR, what a wonderful artist!
its sooooo good
This is now my favorite song
i absolutely adore the crazy contraptions you make for your intros, 10/10
Thank you, its my pleasure!
That's some pretty _solid_ kerbal engineering right there 🗿
Ba dum tisss
Ikr, that craft _rocketed_ through the course
without leaving the canyon, and without exceeding 400m?
sounds like an average day at the office for an Ace Combat pilot lol
i literally came down here to reference that one mission
@@tabula_rosa Which one?
@@airwaveraptor125 Probably, sneaky canyon in AC7.
weve even brought pizza
You just massacred Brad's challenge.
But the pits…
I was just listening to “The rain formally known as purple” and then went to lay down and watched this vid. I thought I listened to it too long and i was hearing it in my head.
Is that risk of rain 2 music I hear?
Indeed it is!
@@Stratzenblitz75 good taste
Nice choice! I was really wondering why it sound so familiar..
If anyone is looking for the song, it's "The Rain Formerly Known as Purple"
The music at 5:10 what’s that? Is that risk of rain 2 as well? If so what’s the song name
I can already tell its going to be a good video.
Thank you! I appreciate your trust in me.
@@Stratzenblitz75 i think if i didn't trust you i wont be subscribed.
Nice! i watched both live streams of the design and test process and you really put the work in for this. Good job mate, keep the content coming.
Thanks! And thank you for joining the streams! I had a ton of fun designing and interacting with people in the stream
@@Stratzenblitz75 The stream where you were trying out this course for the first time was the first I was able to attend, and I'm glad to see the finished product! You were so close on the run I saw, gliding down into the river two turns away from the end.
Love the Risk Of Rain 2 in the background. Best soundtrack in a game
Sounds like the top gun mission to me
Pure quality in everything man. Thank you again for another well edited video! Loved the live streams too.
Oh how beautiful. Short videos, interesting rides, pleasant music, not too much talking.
Earned a sub!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy your stay here!
I really love your videos! Another incredible video!
Great video and loved the build streams for this
Nice video! was waiting for it since the live
Thank you! I'll admit this took me too long to get finished... I'm working on being more productive.
It's insane to know the height at which most of my probes around Kerbin orbit is only 1/4 to 1/8 of this river
"I gave him a single stage design"
"There are 16 Clydesdales, staged in series."
But nothing is discarded, therefore it's a single stage
Better way to say would be “ignited in series”.
you can make landing gear deploy while stowed if you enable 'deploy while shielded'
Yep, I completely forgot about that.
Thanks!
Good job! So pumped to finally see a run!
This format of designing craft with community input in a stream then presenting the result achieving some challenge in a short- or medium-form video is bloody great I think. More like this please!
I had forgotten that there were very large SRBs in the game now. Still a pretty damn good design though
You nailed it! As expected
Well done! I never thought this was possible!
Congrats on the run!
4:48 "It's another left tuuuurn!" - Bubba J.
An impressive accomplishment! I saw at least a bit of the streams of what all went into creating this craft, and was pretty amazed at how much effort and (shudder) even math went into it!
Tangential, it's amazing how different some of those turns look at 380+m compared to the 50 or so meters I took them at in my run
Thank you!
Yea, the run is much nicer at a higher altitude. You can cut the canyon walls closer and thus take a more efficient trajectory.
You constantly amaze me
I knew i recognized that background music, Excellent choice!
It was awesome! Thanks for you good job!
I love this man, he's legit
I love the subtle Risk of Rain 2 music in the background
stratz this video gave me anxiety 😅😅 amazing work and a wonderful display of precision flying!
Thank you! I'll be honest, my anxiety was high for the entire run. I had already failed a run previously by falling short a few Km at the end. When I saw I was halfway through and only had 4 stages left, I felt like I wasn't going to make it. But fortunately, those 4 stages took me the rest of the distance.
God the music makes me scared of an elder lemurian popping up and blowing up your plane
Love the video!
I'm loving the risk of rain 2 music in the background
Love the RoR2 music in the background
Great run dude!
The risk of rain music in the background is amazing
HOW!? THIS IS REAL KERBAL PHYSICS 🤯
COOL vid!
Hella creative shot at the beginning with the pan from engines to propellers to srbs.
Thank you! I love getting the b-roll for these videos. This one had me giggling like a school girl in particular.
This river run was incredible
Omg bimonthly uploads?! And streams?! Yeessss!! Thanks for doing such great work Stratz!!
Thank you! I'm excited to be producing more content! I've learned a lot in the past month from doing the streams and more frequent videos and I hope to keep the momentum going!

Just wamt to point out the quality of the video. Sooo goood
I was quite pleasantly surprised when the video started with Sky Meadow ~
I feel like I'm playing an Ace Combat 7, KSP, and ROR2 mashup watching this lol.
Interesting flight!
The Risk of Rain Soundtrack, A fantastic addition to the video :)
you absolute madman, you did it xD
gotta love the risk of rain music
Nice! I watched this live, and it was great!
Heart ya right back, Stratz!
This looks cool
We've done something similar in the Mosel river valley in Germany... A friend of mine was flying his aerobatics plane with me as a passenger. It was awesome and terrifying at the same time. It wasn't always possible to fly below the surrounding surface because of bridges and power lines. But it was possible often enough.
this is why i subbed
Love the ror sound track
FYI if you turn on "deploy shielded" on the landing gear it will always let them extend
Ok yeah this is awesome
Very impressive!
a beauty.
Ah yes, a fellow man of culture. I like your choice of music
Crazy that you did it with SRB's bro
Well done.
Gotta love the risk of rain 2 soundtrack on the background
that segment before 1 minute was incredible
pretty cool craft ngl
loved the vid
yes
nooo! you cant use solid rocket boosters for an aircraft!
stratzenblitz75: haha rocket go brrr
_Brad casually launches srb ssto in the distance_
I'll have you know I was the first one to do this kind of SRB design. Brad watched my stream and stole it *shakes fist angrily*.
(I'm joking of course. Brad's mission was insanely cool. If anything, I'm jealous of just how fast he put it together while I was still working through this design)
Impressive!
I just realized that this is a track from Risk of Rain 2 (4:50)
That risk of rain 2 soundtrack is so good
That was a SOLID Run... no pun intended.
btw you can remove certain parts like fairings from staging by right clicking on the parts now. that might help with accidental deployment of fairings you want to keep on the craft
"Now, this is podracing!"
10/10 music choice
That was cool.
This is cool
the king of SRBs.
this guy has too much patients. my zoomer brain would be fed up after turn 5
I remember watching those streams and taking part in the anti nightbot revolution lead by the orb itself
This is some next level dam busters shit right here
I'm not even surprised by this anymore.
You just motivated me to put drop tanks on my fighter, fly out, do the run and fly back in 1.5hrs. couldn't keep it below 400 though - 600 was the limit.
Still, not bad for an ameteur...
i like the Risk of Rain 2 background music :)
i believe it’s what plays during sky meadows but i could be wrong- I don’t remember the exact name of the track
Risk of rain 2 soundtrack, good choice!
I'm just vibing to the Sky Meadow theme tbh
