Why am I Crying. I am a musician. I play all the songs just like this boy, and have been playing for 45 years but I can only play in my head. You are precious.
36 years of guitar and I’m still completely blown away by this kid. He doesn’t stop at just reproducing the musical track on one acoustic guitar. He throws the lyrics in, too. Absolutely epic.
Those who don't play guitar don't get how intimidating the level of arranging and interpretation skill on display here is. The dude captured the essence of the original arrangement on a single acoustic guitar while doing the solo with feeling. Incredible.
Well said. Kent's arrangements are unexplainable to 99.9% of humanity. I can play almost anything, however kent is beyond my 34 years of experience to play
The arrangement itself is astounding. I arranged a multi-layered guitar track of this years back to learn Logic…and can attest to the nuances that underpin this song. That descending keyboard line 😍
The guitar goes back some hundreds of years and was made for good musicians. It has quite the history long before modern times. Spanish flamenco players used the guitar . Others play Bach and all manner of classical music - playing 4 lines of music at the same time using the right thumb and three fingers - beautiful sounds. This young man plays a combination of a modern approach, with a few flamenco flourishes near the end. Even a beginner can sound very nice on this lovely little instrument.
Kent is one of the best guitarists of the modern era. To play so beautifully and capture every little harmonic without any mistakes is exceptional !!. I could listen to him all day long. I'm sure David Gilmour would agree.
Kent doesn't just cover multiple instruments, he often captures the soul and the genuine feeling of the original. There's another universe where Pink Floyd's version is a cover of Kent's. Really incredible work.

@Divocwax: What's that to do with this amazing solo acoustic fingerstyle performance ? I've been listening to "The wall" since the album release, and when I listen to this masterpiece, I aknowledge the spirit of the song just like when performed by PF.
