i cannot stop binging on this genius, even though i've heard most of his stuff a lot...he's got that addictive groove built in to every arrangement and it makes it difficult to not come back once you feel the need for the GROOVE--doesn't matter what song it is really. genius^2
His phrasing in the solo section is exquisite. Kent is a fantastic player. He has a ton of technique, but his musicality is even further advanced than the technique. He speaks guitar like a language.
Yep!... Simply mind-boggling, and when I watch great finger-style players like this, they make it look so easy and effortless, I (for a brief moment) think that I can immediately go pick up my guitar and quickly learn and play it myself... :-(

I thoroughly enjoy your arrangements because I don't hear your ego if that makes sense. You're not making any changes to make it easier for you or add anything extra, you are just capturing every nuance you can and doing it tastefully and that deserves some mad respect. More people need to hear you! The future of the music world is going to be ok as long as we have Kent in it!

So much to say here. So MUCH technical brilliance. But for me, the high point is the pinched harmonics toward the end of the guitar solo. They're hard enough to play on their own. But while playing the rhythm and backing at the same time? Bravo. This kid has magic in his hands.

My routine for enjoying Kent's play - After I check that my speakers are cabled well to give a good bass and clear mids, I first listen while strolling down the comments...and comparing my experience with all you guys who are in awe, then I listen a second time watching how he did it. .. :) I always look forward to be surprised by his selection of music. But I'm hoping for a day he touches the repertoire of legend Tatsuro Yamashita.
I've had this on repeat for roughly 15 times with my headphones on in the dark with my eyes closed. It's that bouncing rhythm, with his right hand its like his whole right arm is a Metronome; I've never heard rhythm with that kind of feeling and consistency from a finger picker. The intonation of those notes he's hitting truly bring that song to life. I'm simply overwhelmed in the best possible way by a musician that is, (in my humble opinion) a once in a generation talent that is single (double) handedly evolving the definition of what it means to play a guitar. Sure, there are a lot of other amazing finger picking geniuses out there that are incredibly talented but this is the first time I've ever come across something like this. I looked up both Tommy Emmanuel 's and Kent's versions of Drive My Car and Lady Madonna and I gotta give it to Kent, his version of those songs sound complete where as Tommy's (Without taking away anything from that incredibly gifted player in his own right) versions seem almost choppy and empty of notes that Kent was playing. Makes one wonder if they could be that good at anything in life. I suppose I shall try to find out. #Motivated
