- The flamethrower was once a Last Day on Earth weapon that a lot of us had given up hope on ever seeing. Is it living up to our expectations now that it's in the game? In this vid I'll show the basics of the flamethrower and brainstorm some ways it could be improved and spiced up. :)

Very underwhelming in my opinion, I'm gonna give it a 3/10 just because it looks good
1/10
1st - it's so rare u can only get 2 of them at the moment
2nd - durability is even worse than winchester
3rd - u walk so slowly at this point this weapon can't even kill frenzied giant that quick it's so bad

Flamethrower can be good,it's recommended to hordes of zombies mostly weaker zombies like fast biters and toxic spitters hoarding you. It's not really good because theres zombies with more health and it eats up the durability.
I could see grouping up all the walkers in the wrecked ship event as a nice target for it.
or crowd zombes for idk exp and season points

I feel like the flamethrower will be like the guitar as it’s rare and cool but pretty weak. It would be nice if there were more swarms of slow enemies to use it on besides just the bunker alpha floor two entrance and that one rest stop variant.

Yeah, like you said, we should be able to refill it with gasoline or gas can or something.
The damage is underwhelming, I rather use minigun, better damage, better durability
The minigun is the real winner of the flamethrower add in. Makes us appreciate a heavy weapon that actually performs. 😅

The one spot in bunker alfa with roaming zombies is the only place it seems good, but i mean its good for the horde (if you fight that for some reason)

Good vid Dan, well explained pros and cons, and solid idea about the gasoline.
Unfortunately this weapon is little more than a novelty at this point, as the damage is so underwhelming and the durability leaves much to be desired. For me it will go on a weapon rack and stay there.
I had the same thought as you with the "firefighter" skins though, maybe we will get another skin with a passive ability - boosting flamethrower damage or durability? Something special about the skin was definitely implied and it would go hand in hand with the release timing of the flamethrower.

I wish that it left behind burning damage flames on the ground similar to the poison made by the toxic spewer - would actually make it viable in certain situations e.g. against riot shield zombs. Would also be pretty cool if they made it so that burning ice zombs with this and maybe flare gun stopped their healing effect (fire melting ice gimmick xd). If they increased the damage a little bit I can also see it working decent against the parasites in bunker bravo level 4 boss and red forest horde zombs.

You can get two flamethrowers, it also gives u another one when u finish the act 1
Imo this weapon works good at the PD for slowing down enemies , bt what about some molotov cocktails? Imo they would fit perfectly.
Molotov cocktails would be amazing! It's possible now that they've proven that they can get this level of fire effects up and running. I need a use for all those strong alcohols I've got stashed in the fridge at my base!
From the current world events, Molotov is less likely to be added

Anyone knows if casually firing the flamethrower without targeting anything would eat up the durability?
I have like 2 shelves full of gasoline and I can't finish it, it would be great if kefir gave it more uses, like refilling the flamethrower or even being used as a recipe for a molotov cocktail. Although the flamethrower was a real disappointment. The scattershot shotgun is much better.
I don't think it's good but it would be cool if it wasn't breakable you should be able to refuel it like you said

It's not too bad in my opinion. Keeps us from ripping through the story in just a couple days. I wouldn't be surprised if the same open x amount of crates in this location is repeated in other later acts too.
I would rate this gun a 4/10 because the looks makes everything other than that it got a lot cons like heavy weight (even more than the minigun a bit), durability decreases as if we are just burning a small piece of paper and kind of a bit hard to get, I know that you can get it from act 1 but still it will be hard to get a single flamethrower for a Free to Play player who just started playing and I do agree with you its kinda meh weapon even if you are a intermidiate player its still gonna take you quite a good amount of melee weapons and guns but it can be a good item to show off in the weapon stands tho.

?should definitely be rechargeable by gasoline , after all we all have the greed to stock up millions of gasoline knowing we can't even ever use this much but keep collecting and valuing it , that's why it should be rechargeable

Dan so I think the flamethrower is garbage. Secondly, the run in the north could mean the northern zones. Thirdly, I know you have a ton of springs now. So next stream could mean gameplay with weird active skill mods for fun. I think you might enjoy some of the active skill mods. Finally, Keyboard challenge for the Win
The keyboard challenge is going to haunt me! I'll slap sniper shot onto a few of the m16s next stream. ;)

So a somewhat high dps weapon with kinda low durability, and only useful on slow or low health enemy, idk mam.
I like the flamethrower but I want some decent use out of it, cause it kinda seems like a stronger but also weaker flare gun

I think kefir should've added a molotov to the game along with the flamethrower
What if the flamethrower can be modified by mixing in with some gasoline and alcohol to create a bigger firing range and damage? Since alcohol is extremely reactive to fire 🔥 put in some gun powders to shoot hot plasma balls of fire to zombies, that can be an active skill.
Also a new way of warming yourself up in freezing weather or rooms. Just shoot the flames in the air.
Its just a collectable for now, lol
How to confuse ldoe players(works):
In my opinion the AWP, kel-tec KSG, desert eagle and tar-21 should be modifiable
So hey , I would rate it a solid 4/10 only because of its looks but there are many cons to it.
1 it’s durability is trash
2 it really doesn’t work against big heavy hitting mobs
But it’s good for like slow moving very lit hit

There’s only 2 flamethrowers so I say bad, unless you have the vip table, I’d rather have it sitting in my storage rather than use it
Honestly the flamethrower is just a mixture of the minigun and flare gun but alot worse because of the DMG and the start up time
Yes use gasoline and increase durability a lot, i have a bunch of gasoline not even bothering to take those anymore so this would be a good use of gasoline, and mods man is a must-have thing, imagine having blue flame or poisonous gas that does high damage or slow down the enemy's , but kefir never cares or he does but in next 5 years maybe
Its kinda good weapon when they revamp its damage sadly its weak despite its low durability

a newbie whose 1st AOE experience is a flamethrower might find it interesting, but for someone like me with a spreadshot it is utter trash
(1/10) weapon as a F2P
It has 4 problems
1. It is rare
2. Trash Durability
3. Bad Damage for the durability used
4. I have already used my Flamethrower so no more flamethrower for me
the damage is pretty suck, if they make the damage to 10 maybe that would be pretty good

Gasoline is expensive and not good for flamethrower , better - alcohol, it's will make sense to farm it ,

Just like most things LDOE, a weapon not worth the effort. If you really do the math on the items on the game, you will come to the realization that most of the game is a scam.
