It took me 2 to 3 hours looking at maps to figure out exactly where this is. I am heading there Friday, any advice? I promise not to blow up your spot.
Some bodies of water I can give away the names of but this one I won't in order to protect it for other anglers. I hope you understand and thanks as always for watching!
Great vid For my own purposes what would the water temp be in this video? I’ve only caught them that shallow in the fall but this looks to be mid summer
A little bit of unsolicited advice, a couple of pieces of pool noodle on the hoop to each side of where the handle attaches makes solo netting a lot easier.
@@sgangling when you put the hoop in the water the noodles buoyancy takes the weight of the net out of the equation. You just have to manipulate the position of the net with the handle.
@@timothythompson6549 is that advice for solo netting on boat also or just for shore? I thought that might interfere if trying to put net under water so I didn’t try it yet. I have that same net and it is quite heavy and I often solo fish from my little boat.
@@pdfahie I can't speak specifically to fishing from a boat, but some people who kayak fish do the same. I'm fishing from shore or wading for the time being. As far as getting the net under water, the trick is raising the end of the handle up. The hoop will pivot around the noodle pieces. If you had noodle on the front of the hoop you'd have to fight against the buoyancy to get it under. Having the noodles on the back next to the handle somewhat limits how deep you can easily go, but really how deep are you gonna be able to net a fish solo with a rod in one hand? It's not perfect. It limits your ability to bring a fish into the side of the net a little bit. You almost have to bring them straight in. But it's the best compromise I've found. Some people put a jig ripper on the handle. I imagine that helps a lot.
I like your video format. You keep the 'Face In Camera time to a minimum. Good. I'm here to see fishing, not your handsome face with your hat on the wrong way. Please, more good videos. You have no discernable accent. I can't tell if you're in NY or MN. The 'Rushing River has rocks reminiscent of PA and WV. OK, Beg Pardon, Your in Canada. Awesome. I love Canada and Canadians.
That looked like an amazing place to hike and fish. Makes me want to get out and walk a trail with a pole and some tackle.
It's definitely my favorite hike and fish location. Beautiful scenery and loaded with Musky!

Good luck. That's a lot of research lol. Start out with gliders and then go from there. Water should be in low - mid 60s
Man ya gotta love it when a plan comes together ! Musky... the fish of 2 casts ! Lol
🤣🤣🤣 Exactly. The 10,000 casts came later on lol
What river is this. Looks similar to new river in WV.. if you said it I missed it while playing with the kids lol

Thanks for watching! The water temp at the time of this catch was about 73.5. It was August 19th and the weather was still very warm.
Well done !
Thank you!
This is the kind of place I'd love to fish!
For sure! Beautiful place.
What state is this? Looks kind of like pennsylvania or west virginia .Nice video
Yep, West Virginia.
