Great track from one of my favourite albums. My first date with my long time partner was spent in a small theatre in South East Spain watching him live- absolutely superb night, a very nice guy and very very talented. Ps we are still together so she must have liked him😊

"Christopher Cross sent our office his cassettes for 2 years before I even arrived on the scene.. We sat down at our producers meetings that we had every Wed and listened to the demo tracks. When we got to Sailing, I heard the magic of what it could be and wondered if the other staff producers assembled had heard it also. He came out to LA to our office and he thought Lenny Waronker would produce him. They sent him to my office and he was blank and reserved even after I told him, He was keen on Lenny. I thought the tracks were good. He went to lunch with Lenny who proceeded to tell him I was involved as a player on the Steely Dan records. He came straight back after lunch, walked into my office, shook my hand and said your my producer" Michael Omaritan. This album went on to win album of the year, artist of the year, song of the year, nominated for 10 grammy awards and won 3.
