Wow, I'm impressed. I've watched several modesty videos made by ladies draped in jewelry and makeup caked on from a lavish home. Modesty is more than covering your parts and most don't see that. Good job young lady.
The real question is more : how men treat women whether they wear knee length skirts or shorts ??? I do not support the burden that is placed on women for men to behave properly .... it has to do with mentality and behaviour not the way women dress (with a few exception) .... look at how women are treated in some countries where the women are covered up from head to toe ... it is a disgrace .. they have no rights are abused and men pretty much own them ... no to mention the fact that these guys can have as many wifes as they see fit including concubines .. there is a good video on harems that i saw on youtube the other day... that should opne your eyes on how the way women dress has not much to do with the way men act ..
I like this. I actually would say I have an even stricter, more "old-fashioned" standard than you (my own sister called me a prude, and my standard is even stricter now than it was then). My sleeves are down to my elbows at minimum and I never show any bare leg in public. But this method is very simple and quick, which is good, especially for those just learning how to dress modestly, who are trying to figure out what can stay in their wardrobe. This is probably at its most useful when in the changing room at the clothing store! I also love your principle for choosing to dress modestly. This is the principle that should motivate everything we do: glorifying GOD! :) I would like to add a few thoughts, particularly for the viewers. 1. According to the Bible, we are not to place stones in front of our brethren to cause them to stumble (i.e. to sin). Rather than saying "I won't worry about dressing modestly because I know at least some men will lust no matter what", what we need to do is avoid dressing in a way that we know WILL cause men to lust after us. This is simple, isn't it? It shows true love and respect for our brothers in CHRIST. I don't mean that we must dress in a burka because any body part can trigger lust, but rather to cover that which we KNOW will cause men in general to lust after us (not some rare few that just happen to have a weird fetish for bare feet or something). 2. Believe it or not, real men want women who cover themselves. I don't mean dressing in a burka, but they don't want women who show off what they've got for every man passing by to see. There are things about a woman's body that should be saved for her husband's eyes only. In fact, this would cover most of her body. I talked about this with my dad. He is a fairly worldly man, yet what attracted him to my mother at the start was the fact that she covered herself, rather than flaunting everything she had. He was attracted to her, not in a lustful way, but rather he felt respect for her. This was also a major factor for my husband when we first met. 3. Don't think this doesn't apply to you, too, men! There are parts of your body that should only be for your wife's eyes, too. Likewise, women are perfectly capable of lusting after a muscular man going around with no shirt. In some ways, women are just as bad as men, in fact. So you need to show consideration and respect for women by covering up. In fact, it is more important for men to dress modestly, because GOD made them the head of women (this is biblical, not some antiquated feature of another culture). This means that it is in the nature of women to follow the lead of men. They tend to try to take over only if they see the men doing a lousy job. So, be the leaders and dress as modestly as you want the women to dress. Okay, those are my two (three?) cents. Blessings!
Im 26 , I'm trying to change the way I dress now, I admit it feels odd being covered up in a modest way but it's the right thing to do since I'm giving my life to Christ now. This was a cute idea though thanks.
i am glad i found this youtube video. i am a male and used to have a problem with lust and pornography, but last nite i was out in public and noticed a woman and i wasnt trying to notice but anyone or everyone could see that womans chest cleavage, It was such a disgrace, i could feel that but obiously she couldnt sence that. i have often wondered about what is modest for these days but now i am thinking if a man loves Jesus Christ and you love Jesus , that a man like me would rather have a lady friend that loves Jesus even if she dressed modestly. but if she doesnt love Jesus then it wouldnt matter how she dresses modestly or imodestly but it is still a shame for anyone when they dress with cleveage showing in public. i know that this you tube video is not about attracting a man with modest clothing, but just saying when we lift up Jesus He will draw all to himself.
I completely disagree with your beliefs, and I really hope you don't take offense to that like many do. I'm only telling you this to emphasize how much respect I have for you as a person. Thank you for giving me unbiased and non-preachy view into Christianity. This was very well-made and respectful to everyone.
so strange how religious modesty is so defined by culture. what ure wearing is modest according to american/western culture but will it be considered modest in the other parts of the world? come to my country and try wearing that in public what ure wearing is actually "scandalous" here
Why does this question apply to women only when men, even if they dress with suits or long jeans and shirts, behave far worse unknown or known by most of us
My husband likes me to show off my figure a bit when we are out in public. I don't mind this because I like to dress to please my husband but I wonder if I'm committing a sin by appearing too immodest.
do you think it's OK to let my little girls wear leggings or shorts under their dresses and skirts too modest and shorts and skirts can't be to much shorter then knees
sorry I didn't respond sooner! I know that when I was little my mom encouraged me to wear shorts, tights, or leggings under my skirts and dresses. Since little girls are very active I think layering is a genius idea! As long as the skirt is modest (at least knee length) wearing shorts is fine :)
I want to wear opaque tights along with skirts/dresses that are basically up to my knees but my parents believe it's not modest! 😭I actually told them at first if I could wear skirts that are at-least slightly above my knees, or skirts that are long down to my ankles without the tights, but they said no to both! And even when i say I'll cover up my legs while wearing them, they still say no! 😭😭
unfortunately, that's true! However what really is important is WHY you're dressing modestly. I don't dress modestly because I'm afraid of being lusted after but because it's how I show respect to the body God has blessed me with.
stacie leena not necessarily true, if the sack was showing cuts and outlines of body then yes. a tease is the main source of lust whether that be tight clothing the show cuts of outlines of body or short dress/skirt.
stacie leena dress modesty because you want to. like if you don't feel comfortable with something change it. dress is like that. cover yourself if you are uncomfortable with uncovering.
I'm a guy (watching these videos to check out cute girls in modest outfits lol) and I'm attracted to this girl but not in a lustful way. Like when I see a girl in bikinis our short shorts I struggle to get her outta of mind but this girl I just think she's pretty and move on.
I wear tank tops cause it's hotter where I live in California and it's too hot on most days to wear a t shirt now of course when wearing a tank top I make sure that stomach and chest is covered cause I value people's eyesight I am a mother and my stomach looks like a 3 dimensional road atlas. But ultimately I like the head shoulders knees and toes idea
You cannot decide the natural inclinations of those who look at you, but by your way of dressing you can guide their minds either for worse or for better. Nowadays, many, to many christian women's clothing instead of covering their bodies, they discover more... This is a fashion anomaly. Few Christian women understand anything of the moral decay to which fashion has led men. Few Christian women understand that the commandment, "Do not covet," is often broken by men, being encouraged, pushed, and dragged by women's unconscious clothing. The fact that a man covets a woman in his heart and sins, does not excuse him for the fact that she is dressed sensually. But that woman is a partner with him and an accomplice to his sin, whether it is even unconscious or unintentional. As a christian man, I notice and feel that there is almost no help from christian women in building our morals through the way they dress. It seems to be against us in this matter. If the eyes of the beholder are drawn to parts of your body and not to your face, when he speaks to you, then it means that you are indecently dressed. You need to correct yourself. But if the eyes of the beholder rest lightly on your face as he speaks to you, and he does not have to struggle to calm his gaze, then you can have peace that you have done all your duty, in regard to fashion. You will have peace, and we will be blessed to be able to admire you without being tempted. From Adam to the present day, sensuality and indecency in women's fashion has been and is the strongest temptation for men, and this is the temptation by which Satan has achieved the greatest victories over God's people. Please, dear christian women and sisters in Christ, behave and dress in such a way that you do not tempt us, but protect us from evil. We are men subject to mistakes, but we do not want to be wrong. Work with us for victory, and we will share with you the blessed reward of victory. May the Lord my God greatly bless any truly christian woman. I am your brother in the Lord. 🙏🙏🙏
Chantelle Monroe Actually, Mormon's do follow the bible, old and new testament. They just have an extra book. It's not taking the place of the bible, just adding to it. If that's not your cup of tea, that's fine. But they are indeed Christians as they follow Christ and consider the bible the word of God. It's Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for a reason lol
Crowelty Believing in Christ doesn't make you a Christian. Muslims also believe in Jesus Christ (but as a mere prophet and not as the Almighty God like Christians believe).
God Loves You beilieving that Jesus existed doesn't make you Christian. Atheists know that Jesus existed based on written documents from the romans. It doesn't mean they think he was the lord and savior. If you believe Jesus was the savior and the son of god, then that makes you Christian as you are following Christ and believe in his holiness. Which mormons believe and follow.
God Loves You honestly I don't know anything about it. A quick google search makes me think this is a question on the trinity and if you believe it's one being or separate. Along with some other doctrinal stuff. I can't really remark on it because I don't know what you're referring to. But those kinds of things gets down to different forms of Christianity. Whether you think Jesus was the son of god or god himself doesn't really matter as you're still following god and Christ as a divine being, thus being Christian. Everything else is just minor differences. Lutheran and catholic and Methodist and baptist and Mormon don't all agree on everything. That's why there's sects . But they're all Christian.
Honestly, I don't agree that the Divinity of Christ and His one-ness in essence with the Father is a "minor" difference because Jesus being God is one of the core foundational beliefs of Christianity. I also think another reason many Christians consider Mormonism a non-Christian faith is that the doctrines can seem to be bordering on polytheism. If there are misconceptions, maybe you could help clear them up for me? :)
Aww, I love the "Head, shoulders, knees and toes"" tip! Good job! Praise God :)
Haha sooo awesome seeing you here! 😉😘
"I would rather someone look at me and see Christ, than someone look at me and see cleavage." ...😂🤣😊 Perfect!!
Yeaa
Very few women think like you in your society.
Your views are ideal and modest.god bless you.
What a sweet and gentle way of expressing - thanks! :)

people can dress however they want, and you are just a prude
I don't agree with all of these, but I definitely recommend the knee one!
