as an australian, if i ever saw someone who wasn’t a police officer/security guard with a gun, i would BOOK IT. that’s genuinely so scary to me. why do u need a fucking gun going into target?????????????
to *target* practice
just in case someone else pulls a gun and you need to defend yourself. seriously, the self defense argument is the most common one.
edit: also so they can scare people and get a power trip out of it
As another Australian, I’m not even comfortable around armed cops or security either tbh. Guns make me so uncomfortable.
australian as well! sometimes we'll drive past a gun store and i get uncomfortable just thinking about how accessible they are *here* ... just the fact a store even exists is a lot. it's hard to grasp that you could just...walk into a store and buy a gun if you wanted (in america)
Yeah I live in Southern US a lot of people here have concealed carry permits so you never truly know who's carrying on top of open carrying
That blonde lady smoked for 20+, she quit a year before, but that 20+ years of smoking caught up to her.
And she needed to lose 40lbs and was and she obviously was overweight and smoking into her 40s... then why did she lose weight and quit smoking if she didn't know about the heart disease? My mother is 50 and just lost weight and stopped smoking after her heart attack and triple bypass... I guarantee this woman was fully aware of her heart disease and is lying to get conservative attention she's a compulsive liar like you used to see back in elementary school...
plus it could be stress from her fear of the vaccine despite it being irrational. also, i can’t help but think that her weight loss may add to the stress. it’s so dumb, there’s so many factors and she thinks it’s the vaccine.
not to mention I believe I saw scrubs on her. as someone who also works in the medical field, I've yet to meet more than a few medical workers who aren't addicted to caffeine. all I'm saying is there's not nearly enough context/evidence of this lady's life and could either be cherry picked or straight up hysteria.
it's honestly also possible that her body was reacting differently -because- she had quit smoking. There are a lot of weird fall out symptoms that can happen when you quit smoking and start functioning without it- especially if you've been smoking for that long. There are so many things that could be going wrong with her health atm- hell, her weight loss could even be a symptom, we just don't know... and neither did she, but she was ready to squarely blame it on the vaccine because it validated her beliefs and allowed her to be a 'victim' of her conspiracy theory.
How are conservatives so agressively progov until it benefits literally anyone but themselves?
Their ideology pretty much demands being a selfish asshole
hypocrisy (and cruelty) is the entire point of the conservative/right-winger mindset
watch The Alt-Right Playbook by Innuendo Studios
Nah, they’re even against things that profit themselves. I’ve seen interviews with working class conservatives who are against all social programs, but receive benefits or have food stamps or have govt. healthcare but think they hate Obamacare. They’re so brainwashed and turned around by Fox News that they’re against their own best interest.
I would argue most “conservatives” are for smaller government and less interference from the government pretty consistently. I have a feeling that a lot of people that truly see conservatives this way are confused or making a lot of assumptions.
@Chandler Burse I try to. But I think it’s hard to not have some pre-conceived ideas and biases sometimes. I think the first part is people on both sides realizing when they’re doing it and being willing to listen even if you don’t agree.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if the reason why the one women noticed she had heart problems was because she was actually actively looking for issues caused by the vaccine causing her to notice her heart issues she didn't previously notice thus resulting in her possibly being better off health wise as well as much less likely to get covid. I'd say that's a a good thing.
Also she was a smoker. Smoking can cause heart problems. Even if she quit a year ago, she has still done permanent damage to the organs that smoking damages. There are so many explanations for her heart issues and yeah the vaccine isn't one of them.
Not to mention she coulda had covid before getting the vaccine one of the side effects is heart disease in people who had it a year ago
And even IF she had a reaction to the vaccine, it doesn't mean it's not suitable for anyone else. They actually think their experience is the exact same as everyone else's don't they 🙄🥴
My immediate thought was she was probably already nervous about the vaccine that she started having anxiety symptoms from her fear and is attributing it to the vaccine.
@@Apollo-gu6oh This is literally me, lmao. I have horrible anxiety, so when I got the vaccine, of course it freaked me tf out. I was having panic attacks for a very long time afterwards. I'm still not really over it but I'm a lot better now, at least.
fun fact: it's not actually the eggs in raw cookie dough that's the problem, the likelihood of salmonella is just insanely low because of strict regulations to do with animal byproducts. The real risk is E.coli or parasites in the flour. And if you want to make cookie dough specifically to eat raw just leave out the eggs and prebake your flour, then the risk is almost non-existent, it's almost like taking small safety precautions are actually really easy and can reduce your risk and save everyone's time in the long run.
psyllium husks are a great egg subsitute too
pre-bake flour, huh. ty. I use apple sauce in place of eggs, usually.
My friend makes edible cookie dough like this! You can't bake it, it's meant to be eaten "raw". She pre-bakes the flour and doesn't use eggs or leavening.
Thank you I was about to say that too, really a pretty hilarious idea that he thinks you can get just enough salmonella to make your tummy hurt (or any of the other reasons his idea of why we don’t eat raw eggs doesn’t make sense). Ethan add a note so you look less dumb!
Ive pasteurized my eggs before to make the cookie dough that way.

This is fairly common in the animal kingdom. I can't remember what animal it was, but there was an animal that forced females to miscarry if they had mated with another male. 40 is pretty young for heart problems from smoking alone, I'd wager it was her being extremely overweight for such a long time as well. :/ That can really mess your arteries up too. Combining them both? Asking for trouble, sadly.
Ps. I am not fat shaming(or trying to), big people are beautiful. It's not *good* for you a lot of the time, but there's nothing inherently wrong with it whatsoever.
as a non-american, I can't fathom how so many people refuse to get vaccinated in the US. I'm from Spain and I remember when we were waiting on the vaccine, me and basically everyone around me were SO impatient we would've done anything to get vaccinated asap, meanwhile the vaccine was already going around in the US at that point and everytime I saw an american antivaxxer pop up on my yt or any of my socials I'd get so frustrated. We're so lucky to have access to this vaccine, so many people in developing countries are still waiting on even their first dose and these people can't get their heads out of their own asses and realize what a privilege they have. Great video Ethan :-))
@Chandler Burse you're right! I think your brother's girlfriend's case is totally understandable. I apologize for not being nuanced and coming across like I was condemning people that are worried or apprehensive about it for reasons like hers, I definitely understand where she's coming from. But then there's people that think they're somehow winning this grand battle against the media or the government, and are straight up proud of not being vaccinated, and then they try to spread all these sentiments to other people, like the ones shown in this video, basically. I feel bad for them in a way, because a lot of them are probably being fed all these lies through social media or some other mediums and might start believing them out of fear, but they're also responsible for spreading such a harmful rethoric to others.

The lady with heart disease was a smoker for probably 10+ years before she quit, plus if she lost weight that fast too then it could just as likely have been linked to any of those things. like jesus who are their doctors?
I mean, in the US, you can't afford a doctor. If you are overweight, doctors literally ignore all of your symptoms if you are overweight at all and tell you to lose weight. I've had many friends die because doctors in the US just say "lose weight". Add on that she was a smoker and a US doctor will also dismiss you
also the (on purpose) of the weight loss seems so pointless to me in her argument. shes saying she lost 40 pounds to make vaccine look bad, but she did it on purpose so even without the "scawy poison stick" she wouldve lost 40 pounds anyway. it literally means nothing and is just there either

I feel like that lady is just experiencing severe anxiety for the first time. It sounds a lot like she’s giving herself anxiety attacks lmao
yup
Yeah like I have very severe anxiety but was having heart palpitations. I say a cardiologist got a stress test and wore a heart monitor for 2 weeks. And heart ultrasound. They found that I was getting PVCs due to the anxiety that was it.
That's what it sounds like to me as well. When I first started having severe panic attacks I would be 100% convinced I was having a heart attack. Sat in the emergency room for no reason way too many times. Same thing happened to my ex and he checked himself into the hospital for a couple days to get testing done, and they're like "nope, you're just having panic attacks" I'm doing way better now and know how to recognize a panic attack if I do have one, but I think this is common when you first start having them.
Literally was thinking just this. I can't help but wonder if she was worried about the vax causing symptoms that she gave herself anxiety lol
Eating raw cookie dough also doesn't risk making other people sick
What are you talking about? You can transmit salmonellosis just by kissing someone who’s got salmonella from eating raw cookie dough (if the eggs had salmonella bacteria which contaminated the dough)
@@kashinimeyo oh goodness, ppl have to swap spit to transmit it?
Well I guess the comparison to covid is super valid 🤦♀️ oh wait, breathing and kissing are very different activities.
One is essential for living and another is something ppl can go yrs without doing 🤷♀️ but whatever, you made a great point defending an idiotic pro covid talking pt.
Also, the biggest risk of eating raw cookie dough has changed from the risk of raw egg, to the probably of contaminated flour. Raw flour isn't safe to consume anymore, so eating raw cookie dough has actually increased in its potential for illness.
Plus raw cookie dough is delicious, the virus isn’t 🦠 🤢😷
It does risk getting yourself sick which is preventable and by your logic, if you do something that’s preventable you’re wasting hospital resources unless you’re being seen for something genetic. 95% of hospital visits are due to personal choices. Does that energy extend to those people as well?
@@thomascuous7772 I've heard every argument under the sun on this topic, my mother is an antivaxxer and my father is a hospital data analyst. I think it's important to recognize that very few people genuinely believe in absolute extremes- by all means, if you need to go to the hospital, please go to the hospital! the idea that vaccinated people should be treated first if they're hospitalized for covid is meant to discourage people from purposefully going out and putting themselves at risk just to "own the libs" and landing themselves in a hospital bed for several weeks while there might be high-risk patients or other emergency patients who really need those beds.
About the Benjamin Franklin thing, it wasn’t just him, and it was an idea that continued until the US started to expand west. In the East, it was still really important to know what another person is ethnically, because only those of English heritage were considered white. When people started getting on trains and moving out towards California, it stopped mattering to people because they all looked white, and they had to one up those natives and Mexicans. We all became white because racism. History is fascinating. (I’m a social studies teacher, I may be biased.)
My grandmother came to Canada from Poland 60 years ago and her peers acted like she was from another fucking planet, it's crazy how much things have changed even in the last few decades.
@Chandler Burse
IIRC pretty much yeah. At varying points through history you could be white without being white enough. (English were the pinnacle of white, apparently)
Irish weren't white for a while
Italians, if I remember the strange out-of-date word used, had a 'swarthy complexion' and weren't really white either
Slavic people were usually excluded too, though I think they got 'in' earlier than others.
In the end though it's just that whiteness isn't really about being white, it's about exclusion and not being black (or asian but through history they were either treated the same or got like a half-pass iirc)

People who open carry freak me out, I feel like you have to be a certain type to do it while knowing most people will be scared of it because we have so many shootings. Like at that point it’s not about personal safety it’s about making other people feel unsafe. I know if I saw someone w a gun in a store my first thought would be active shooter.
Agreed. I live in Canada, but when I see videos or hear about it all I can think is "that gun-carrier will ABSOLUTELY be the one freaking out and shooting wildly in an emergency and someone will get hurt because of it."
Honestly same, like I think people should be allowed guns, (look how else am I gonna get my uncle’s delicious deer jerky) but just having guns out wherever you go? Super weird and a super big redflag
Like having a gun with you is good and can protect people but most people who carry guns aren’t carrying them for that. Like seriously.
They freak me out because all I’m seeing is someone basically just itching for some shootout to happen so that they can live their hero fantasy. However we know that if one did happen, they’d either run away, leaving everyone behind, or they’d make the situation worse by accidentally shooting someone out of fear they were the shooter.

The lady with the heart murmur is literally just getting an anxiety or panic attack. My dad had heart trouble for years, but *amazingly* somehow they cleared up when Trump was elected.

Regarding the lady with heart issues, I had a random episode where I passed out and had heart palpitations. Nothing caused it that we know of. I wore a heart monitor for 2 months to find out what happened and everything was normal besides random palpitations that could be caused by stress and anxiety.
All that to say that there could be a myriad of reasons she was having palpitations.
yup same, had an awful anxiety episode and thought i was having a heart attack- turns out i was just having anxiety pain
It very much sounded like she was describing cardiac symptoms caused by anxiety/stress. I have a long history of minor heart problems. When I’m exceptionally stressed, my heart starts skipping beats and I get dizzy. Not a heart attack, just stress. My dad’s had serious heart problems from stress. Similar symptoms, only his got worse and he passed out and had a few minor heart attacks over the years. He’s also a lifetime smoker.
When someone brings up those concerns and the doctor sees longterm former smoking addiction and (seemingly) former morbid obesity, then they better get a heart monitor to check them out. I got a monitor twice and it showed anxiety related irregularities. I believe her results will have either been the same, or she has damaged coronary arteries from longtime smoking+obesity. Not to mention the possibility of menopause contributing to her symptoms.
Edit: it’s not a coincidence her vaccine anxiety caused much worse physical symptoms than she’s had before. She quit smoking and overeating. People with morbid obesity almost always have an eating disorder, most often stemming from emotional (coping) eating. The two coping mechanisms she’s likely relied on her entire adult life are gone. She got very anxious and didn’t have a (healthy) coping mechanism, so her body relayed the stress to her heart.

I know I'm super late to this, but what I've seen in my hometown and family is that everyone genuinely believes the death rates are being faked. So, they just think anyone who's not them is a "leftist" or a "liberal" and that the two are the same. I'm sure you know that but some here might not remember they've always been that way.
A lot of American right-wingers are like that because of the two-party system being made up of "insane-level conservatives" or "liberals", so even though the Democrats are really very Capitalist-motivated Liberals, they think of them as "the opposite" instead of what they really are, which is basically "them but less bigoted".

Flour is vegan, being that it’s the product of a plant, just bake it first. Most of the bacteria you should worry about is in raw flour, not the store bought eggs, which are sanitized through pasteurization. Pre-baked regular flour and an egg substitute (some people have recommended applesauce, though I also hear some water and vegetable oil will work) will do just fine.
Personally, I’d still use regular chocolate chips though.
This is false. Uncooked flour is the reason raw cookie dough is dangerous. Not eggs.

random info; it's not the raw eggs that make you sick in raw cookie dough, it's the bacteries in un-cooked flour.
Heya, I got the vaccine and 3 days later I got a call from collectors trying to get me to pay my student loans! And they want to push that on kids? How will kids be able to afford my student loans?? I owe like 5k
I could easily win the debate between me and 700,000 dead bodies
?
As an Oregonian who’s been voting by mail since 2010, sometimes I really wanna take away people’s right to vote at all when they have no clue how mail in voting works. We’ve had it going on the longest and it’s never been contested, to the point where they didn’t even bother trying to challenge the Oregon votes this last year. I mean some weirdos here did, who have been voting by mail for over two decades, but I mean the weirdos with the lawyers who tried to sue and investigate just to get owned even harder. Idk I don’t want to, but I also do, only when people don’t know things like how voting works or understand (or haven’t even read the entirety of) the constitution.
That’s also why people like me complain online and do local stuff instead of running for office though, because I know I wouldn’t always be able to follow through on my own ideology and I’m not enough of a charlatan to just go for it despite that.
6:42 What is that mom gonna do? Beat up covid?
The heart lady quit smoking and seemingly had morbid obesity, which most often points to stress eating. She was incredibly anxious about getting the vaccine and her 2 ways to cope with stress were gone. So her body expressed that anxiety through palpations. She described a panic attack. That was probably the outcome of her monitor test.
Source: am anxious mess with stress related heart problems. Been where she’s at a bunch of times!
“You are pathetic and I wish you ill” is such a hard line for some reason
Ethan the goat of roasting boomers and dumb tiktockers
The clap or sack button is so silly, but the clap button isnt referring to killing them hahaa. The clap one is referring to how during the peak of the pandemic it was tradition that every thursday at 7 oclock you would open your window and clap to show your support for the NHS.
Never heard about that but I’m also Canadian ans not on tik tok lol
yeah we got that lmao I think you just didn't understand that the alternative to not firing unvaccinated healthcare workers that Ethan is talking about is that they catch and spread a virus that can kill people
Which is like ridiculous, how bout they get given good pay and not ridiculous working hours instead
i'm canadian and we did it every day at 7 for a while
yeah no it was a joke
sometimes when I hear conservative people's conspiracy theories my brain just *windows closing sound*
Okay at 6:35 I have a few lil facts to give about lioness and cubs! (I've studied lions and their lively hood since I was a lil girl so I pride myself in knowing a few things about them) Lioness are known for leaving and/or killing cubs if they are an inconvenience to her or the pride, the cub got hurt, their limping and slower than the rest of the group, she leaves em to starve (most of the time, imma say about 80% of the time). If the lioness is angry enough, she'll kill her cubs, it's considered a dominance thing ig. That video talks of the mother caring for her young, protect them from whatever she thinks she protecting them from, well if you relate to a lioness then does she leave the kid too if it's an inconvenience...?
(This is probably the most political thing I've ever wrote... Sorta don't feel bad for it tho)
simping for your haircut ethan it looks so good
Ethan with that knife is somehow scarier than 90% of gun owners 😂
And like with 90% of gun owners I was afraid he’d hurt himself by accident.
7:52 - Ah yes, the government "threats" like... saying you should get it for your and everyone else's safety?
That first guy meant "clap" as in "applause," not kill.
I was very confused by that; when has "clap" ever meant "kill"?
@@mastermarkus5307 it has for a good while, just not in this instance. I liked Ethan's take on it though.
Yeah I can understand why he didn't get the joke though. Applauding key workers was kind of a British thing. I don't think they did that in America.
Maybe they did it in other countries though.
"Catching Covid is like eating raw cookie dough". I mean...sure, if you both not only ate it but physically force-fed it to random passerby on the street against their will as well. Like...I seriously CANNOT when people use arguments like that.
watching for algorithm but my audio is off bc i need to edit my own video i will loop this though mwah much love dear

She does realize you need a medical professional to give you a vaccine??
Good thing I refreshed my feed before crashing out
I knew at least one of them would be wearing wraparound shades and be shooting from inside his truck.
She could also have anxiety, when I couldn't take my medicine for a week my heart went nuts.
9:19 I’m a teenager and have the exact same stuff because I have P.O.T.S. It doesn’t matter what your age is, you can still get random heart palpitations.
the constitution literally talks at length about what to when a government overreaches, and we absolutely talk about it in schools.
I will not have this raw egg slander! The raw eggs are not what makes cookie dough dangerous! It's the raw flour!!!
its raw egg whites too tho, there's a small chance of getting salmonella (not that dangerous, just throwing up and fever)
@@brutus3631 in the US at least most in shell raw eggs sold in stores are pasteurized, so while yes there is a small chance of bacterial contamination it's actually a very very small chance. That's why, for instance, I'm able to freely sell edible cookie dough containing eggs but if it contains flour it has to be roasted beforehand or heat treated in some other way first
@@bobobojan oh i didn't know that! i get most my eggs from farmer friends and they always tell us not to eat them raw just to be safe lol
love this middle of the night upload
9:03 LITERALLY SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU HAVE NO HEALTH CONDITIONS IT COULD BE PASSED ON FROM YOUR FAMILY OR JUST SOMETHING ELSE
Just found your channel recently and love the commentary. Funny and entertaining while also managing to touch on some serious topics. Great stuff.
5:05 except for Govener Morris he thought that slavery was dehumanising
"shortness of breath"
>Speaking in full paragraphs
Yeah okay
that heart palpitations one is so ridiculous to me, like i've seen so many people say things like that and never stop to think "hey, i probably already had this pre-existing heart problem that was undiagnosed and putting my body under more stress, especially as an older person, is going to make my condition worse." they just immediately think it's cause by the vaxine. that's like if i said when i found out i had asthma through an anemic panic attack that me being anemic caused asthma
5:10 Me, who’s half irish, half Italian: 👁👄👁
I’m from Texas and have worked several different retail jobs, you don’t get treated different for open carrying unless you seem like you’re about to fly off the handle
7:45 dude’s jawline looks like what happens when white light hits a prism
For the second one with the two buttons where one was “clap health workers” and the other was “sack health workers”, the first one is referring to the period during covid when everyone would go out into the street and applaud NHS workers once a week. It’s not the choice to murder doctors lol.
Coincidentally our conservative government also joined in on the applause yet behind the scenes wrote legislation that aided in privatising the NHS and gave essential health care workers a 1% pay rise (which was actually a pay cut compared to inflation). They also mismanaged pretty much everything for covid including getting supplies of PPE for doctors and nurses which resulted in the deaths of 545 health and social care workers (as of July 2020, this number was the most up to date I could find) which was the second highest rate globally.
So yeah the choice taken by the conservative government was A: help to save lives by properly funding the NHS. Or B: not give a shit and laugh at the deaths of doctors. And they chose B every damn time.
Edit: great propaganda, loved every second as always
@Chandler Burse What? Mate, you aren’t making any sense….
When i got my first COVID-19 vaccine i started having palpitations the day after. They got more regular and intense, so after 2 days i went to see a doctor. They did an EKG and the results all came back normal. In conclusion, nothing is wrong with my heart, nor the vaccine. For some reason my body just overreacts to some substances. A couple months later i took my second dose. i had palpitations this time as well, but eventually they went away. Most of my friends and family have had COVID, but i haven't, so I'd say it was worth it.
Ethan is online, and posting right when I'm needing a good video to watch just before bed :)
9:30 is a quote I will keep in my back pocket
When I had my first vaccine it gave me hives all over my arm and i got a little sick for a few weeks. Even so I would still get as many as are needed if someone I love has a low immune system.
8:35 yeah so uh I had the same symptoms....I am 27yo. I also have no medical history of heart problems or family history... I went to a cardiologist and you know what it was? a fucking anxiety attack my dude.
and i wanna be clear, I'm not trying to diagnose this lady bc maybe she really does have a heart condition or smth and I'm not a doctor but I had literally the very same story (minus smoking I've never been a smoker) and was told it was a panic attack/anxiety attack. and based off this woman's beliefs about the vaccine I would not be surprised if she literally created this problem herself by way of being anxious about side effects from the vaccine.
I liked the part where you clocked the smug laugh at the end of that first girl's tiktok. Conservatives always seem to have this weird smugness that gives me second hand embarrassment.
How does NO ONE on the right remember that mail in voting has been a thing for literal decades? I’ve only gone to vote in person once. It’s not new, or bad, or unsafe… who are these ppl?! lol.
I got my booster, and now I can fly and see through walls.
i think maybe they meant clap as in "clap for" not "kill" lol
My leftist views do not align with anything on television
New Amsterdam (a medical TV show) is the closest thing I align to on TV in the US. It's about a medical director at a huge public hospital in New York who is trying to socialize medicine and he's a super huge lefty (he's more of a lib but like demsoc)
Because nothing on television actually lines up with global leftism, american leftism (democrats) is centre-right in most of the world, and republicans are far right. The country has a weird scale of how we define our politics.
@@swimsvg1855 yeah American democrats are not very left compared to most of world. They suck lol
that lion clip is basically them saying they hide behind their mother when confronted.
Like in my state universal mail in voting has been around for decades and let me tell you its so weird to me that most of the country still goes to stand in lines
Honey wake up Ethan uploaded
4:55 they literally teach that in school tho- like it was a test question I had a couple days ago it's like if government bad then bully and over throw them- like it is taught in school
