This was an amazing behind the scenes! You have really done an amazing job putting all of this together yourself! I never would have guessed that you’re shooting it all yourself! I think I’m going to shoot a behind the scenes for my set too now that I’ve seen yours!
Glad it was helpful! I made it for that reason. I saw so many videos that I felt made creating this type of work unachievable. I wanted people to see that they can do this too.

Wow Belqui, such kindness to show us behind the scene of your videos, really helpful info and tips and tricks that you learned along the way. I really appreciate you sharing all this 💝

I started making videos on cooking, its too difficult to shot with one phone, cooking process needs accurate timing to shot, efficiently use the impacts of appearing steam n smoke . This is such a nice video, I learned many things. Thank you sharing great experience n informative video with us.
Hi Belqui! My sister in NY is trying to get started with setting up a UA-cam channel showcasing her cooking and other lifestyle elements. She called me this morning totally excited about some new ideas she has for her set up. In trying to give me some visual examples of what she is trying to do, she directed me to your channel to see firsthand this "awesome person" whom she has been following for a while. So now I am hooked too! I am not a cooking guru but I can certainly refer to your videos, especially the ones showing how you do your set up, etc., in helping me with tips and tricks for making videos. I am a card maker and you have inspired me to get started on making videos of my processes, instead of my customary still photos. Keep inspiring because your are a fantastic communicator AND cook! x
Thank you so much for your kind words! You made me tear up! I am very happy to hear that your sister has found my videos helpful and that you have found use for them yourself. I agree, videos work super well when it comes to showing a process. It makes us feel like we can do it. :-) Let me know your sisters channel so I can sub. I just subbed to yours! ;-)
Wow, Belqui your video was awesome, you explained everything in such a simple yet clear way. Your personality, the brightness and cleanliness of the presentation was spot on. You have yourself a new subscriber, thanks so much ♥

You are so young! OMG! And I am super happy to be able to influence you with my videos but I think you are doing great already! You'll surpass me pretty soon so keep at it!!!
Hi Belqui, do you think I should boost my videos? I show my videos on Facebook, Instagram and 2 cooking groups and nothing else, I feel like it's the same group and feel like I'm not growing in views...I have delicious videos.😥
Do you mean boosting on FB? If so, the only reason I would do so is to get views back to my website where I have the written recipes. I have boosted a few times on FB and Instagram and even though I get more visibility on those posts, it doesn't translate to more eyes on my website or UA-cam ever. What's super frustrating, if you notice, is that you can have 1,000 followers on FB and only 25 people see a post. So when you see the word "reach". That is all the people FB showed your post to. Imagine that? I posted my fried red snapper on FB the other day and out of 3,288 followers, only 120 were reached. That is why it's so hard to get traction there. If you boost a post, are you planning to direct it to your UA-cam homepage?
Thank you so much for answering, I've only boosted a video once, my (Albondigas delicious and easy) I got many views it being that I had just started...haven't done it again, I just feel like it's the same group of viewers seeing all my videos, I'm growing on subscribers, but just wanted to know how else I can expose my videos, am learning from you, thank you.😘
Thanks for this. I have been doing cooking shows for 2 years now and am looking to expand my audience and step up to the next level. Alot of great tips here!

Great video! I am developing a new UA-cam channel which will be a cooking/review channel for 2021. Your video is great for showing me a quick start on how to shoot these types of videos. Thank you so much.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know I have a new UA-cam video on how I started my blog and UA-cam channel with a link to my website where I list all I do with links and a checklist of my creative process. I hope it is helpful to you!
Hello.... this is really helpful. Been looking for video like this. Since I do like to cook sometimes and still learning. So many things I have to learn. Thank you for showing us how you do it.
Thank you Zadi! I literally shot this so fast I left out some stuff. I'm going to shoot making an entire overhead Tasty style video soon. I think If I focus on one style it will be easier for me to explain the nitty gritty.
I actually move very little. In this video I used my DSLR to shoot my intro and then my phone for the cooking. Sometimes using the DSLR too. It really takes not much time because i don't move the lights at all. They stay in place. It's just moving the tripod and focusing the camera or phone. You should check out this video where I show you how to shoot with your phone. You'll see how I move it around to make it look multi-camera. ua-cam.com/video/J2AGHq-Y4yE/v-deo.html
Thank you for sharing this video I have a question about your lighting.. do you turn off the kitchen lights and use the light box and ring light? Or do you use the lights with the kitchen lights on? Thanks again 😊
Hi! I keep them on because that kitchen is super dark and it helps to have the most lighting possible. Now that I created the shooting space in my living room, I need very little lighting which is great. You should check it out.
Thank you for all the info! What editing software do U use? I want to do a cooking show so bad but I don’t know much about the tech part of it all n it’s what’s holding me back.
I am doing more hosted style now but my go to is Adobe Premiere Rush. I used iMovie before but with Adobe Premiere Rush I have a lot more options for titles and transitions, sound editing. I taught myself how to do it all on my own watching youtube videos. In this video I show you how I edit an episode. This one is all focused on the food. ua-cam.com/video/lTLRJynUgJE/v-deo.html
This is actually very helpful and inspiring. Glad I came across this video. Much appreciated! Good luck to everyone who just started a UA-cam channel! Hope we all make it!
Hi! Just wanted to let you know I have a new UA-cam video on how I started my blog and UA-cam channel with a link to my website where I list all I do with links and a checklist of my creative process. I hope it is helpful to you!
Thank you! This video was very reassuring for me! I also love and prefer gas stove over electrical stoves! It just cooks better! I also need to upgrade my equipment! Thanks again!
Hi! Thank you! I used iMovie when I shot that video, now I use Adobe Premiere Pro. Its just as easy to edit there but has beautiful text overlays and layouts. I also have a video on my channel where I show how I edit on it.
Thanks a lot for how to do. Yes I got some ideas from your tutorial. Will apply those. Specially the wooden board, the light of microwave and the cabinet on top of the microwave.
It's almost impossible. I edit the steam out most times but cutting thee video. I also place the camera as high as I can to minimize the steam hitting the camera lens. But it's not an easy way unfortunately.
This video exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. What kind tripod for using your iPad because I don't have a camera.

Great job, SO I'm a professional Chef and actually had a cooking show on cable access. I had produced 13 episodes however I had a professional shot and edit them. So now fast fwd 20 years and I want to start up again. However different state and twenty years older. Your tutorial was informative and you have my energy flowing to produce more and more videos. Come check me out, I'd love some personal tips from you. Stay safe during this crazy time we're going trough,John
Hi! Thank you for commenting on the video. Its so cool to hear you did a cooking show! So you know how much work it entails. I am happy that I was able to give you more energy towards starting up again. My goal is to get to a place where I can hire someone to shoot me while I cook but doing this alone has me becoming resourceful to do the best under the solo circumstance. If I can do this, I am sure anyone can too. I am here if you ever need anything or are just looking for emotional support in this journey. :-)
@@BelquisTwist thanks so much for the reply. Ck out one of my videos, the content is good, the filming...well working on acquiring better filmmaking equipment rather than just my phone.
@@celebrity-chef Actually, my phone, the latest Iphone 11 XS Max is insanely good. If you are going to go with just one camera, all you have to do is get a good microphone for the phone and you are good to go. That phone rivals my Canon DSLR. I use it for all my closeups of cooking now.

Seriously it seems too much oh Lord! 🤦🏾 Are all the cameras connected? I am still grateful for this video, it is really helpful, just need to put time in.
Hi! I shoot technically with one. I do an intro, then I cook. So one camera is perfectly ok. Here is another one I shot recently with just my iphone ua-cam.com/video/J2AGHq-Y4yE/v-deo.html
Great video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge; this is so helpful. I have been looking at improving my channel as I only shoot with my iPhone 11 pro and edit with iMovie. I have now subscribed to your channel after watching it and getting ideas on how to improve my shooting.
I am so happy it was helpful. I also only shoot with my iPhone now. I find it so much easier. I have other videos with more of how I do things. I hope those are helpful too!

Amazing thank you so beautiful
Please tell me which editing app you use to make your videos 🙏❤️
Hi! Thank you! I used iMovie when I shot that video, now I use Adobe Premiere Pro. Its just as easy to edit there but has beautiful text overlays and layouts. I also have a video on my channel where I show how I edit on it.
Belqui's Twist thank you so much dear
Really helpful tips! Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Thanks a lot for how to do.
Yes I got some ideas from your tutorial. Will apply those. Specially the wooden board, the light of microwave and the cabinet on top of the microwave.
I am glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video. I have one question on how we can avoid having cooking steam blocking the camera while recording overhead shots
It's almost impossible. I edit the steam out most times but cutting thee video. I also place the camera as high as I can to minimize the steam hitting the camera lens. But it's not an easy way unfortunately.
Hi Belqui thanks for the wonderful tips.... nice and helping... keep it up... have a great time with your channel

Here is another one I shot recently with just my iphone
