    As a security officer, doing night security at high risk establishments if the drones had thermal and night vision capability I could definitely use swamming drones

      I reckon drones equipped with IR cameras, but with ground based 940nm illumination would be useful for that.

      @droningwesternaustralia Рік тому

      @@budgetnuclearweapons7858 it would better to have 940nm illumination attached to the drone. I don't need them over the top of the site, I need them more on external perimeter patrols with the ability to track someone after they have breeched the perimeter fence

    Drones fitted with Thermal and infrared even just operating 2 at a time! The possibilities are endless. Quicker response and less wasted manpower. Especially when needed to cover large areas Perfect for Police, Search and rescue and so much more at a fraction of the cost.

    I already use a drone to locate intruders without the risk of confrontation. I can see a use for this for surveying, security around farms, industrial areas and critical infra-sructure, and for mountain rescue, flood impact assessment or tracking wildfires. Their is a cost-effectiveness gap between a helicopter and SUAS to be filled.

    I saw half a dozen police cars deployed just to deal with some naughty school kids yesterday. I had my mini 3 in my bag. All the police would need to do is fly a Mini overhead and capture the kids’ faces. Then send that to the headteacher of the schools in the area. Also use the photos when interviewing the shop owners that had shoplifting problems.
    The idea would be to have drones that ‘randomly’/routinely appear out of nowhere, so that trouble makers in problem areas feel that there is a constant eye in the sky around. I know the Mini 3 Pro can hover above a dog or cat without them noticing it’s there. We want the drone to be noticed, but for them to think “how long has that been there???”

    • @lindsayheyes925
      @lindsayheyes925 Рік тому

      I don't know about cats, but dogs, pigs and sheep can't locate objects.which make sounds above them. We can look up - to an extent - because our vertical spines change the range of articulation of the atlas joint with our skull. However, like all mammals, our ears can only locate sounds close to the plane on which our eyes and ears are located - and we have to recognise the nature of a sound before we attend to it, as many in the trenches of Ukraine have found out too late.

    Search and rescue could use this platform on the ship searching for casualties In a major operation of a cruise liner or ferry or any ship round the uk to in distressor help with the rescue of casualty. Or monitoring oil or fuel that is leaking from a vessel gone down or hit rocks or grounded .the uk Coast Guard would find this useful I do know that the uk coast guard have a drone at the moment but just one large one.
