Thank you for taking us with you to these wonderful places. Don't forget to enjoy yourself while you're there!
It is so refreshing to see these wonderful historical theme parks in China. What a contrast with the Disneyland parks !! Thank you for showing us these great places and I hope you will continue along these lines, even though I am afraid China may have reclaimed you and the West may have lost you. Thankfully, we will always have you via the internet. You are sooo cute in your hat!!
So fun to see the locations from so many dramas! Thank you for taking us along on your journey’s!
Thanks for another very interesting vlog! All these places seem so familiar. I had always thought that they were just "Hollywood sets" so it is good to see that they seem vey real. Also, it is good to see a little more of AvenueX, very lovely!
A dream of splendor had such beautiful riverscapes. lovely. the whole drama seems to play out on the banks of rivers. In 'forever and ever' too they had nice riverscapes. All these traditional style buildings are a pleasure to watch. hope china revives their techniques, and in future, when the population is 1/3 of present (as it should be for all high population countries), most people can live in such dwellings....people can wear robes (not as elaborate as in the dramas, but more practical ones) when the weather permits....all over the world, beautiful traditional apparel is being abandoned for the standard western uniform of denims pants and t-shirts...many times the traditional costumes are more suitable for the local weather........i hear chinese traditional wood work techniques are very unique, and have survived in japan...in future, restore the forests, use wood and build these beautiful buildings
👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍😍😍❤❤❤I just Love it !!! Feels like we’re there!!!🤭😂😂😂
Le chapeau juane that you wear on this journey is adorable, sweet, charming, fun, bright, and perfect for you! I have been enjoying sharing this journey with you, thank you! 🙏
As someone who is planning to visit, thanks this video is so important!
How exciting! It's SO BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait for JoL to come out! :)
Are they finally making the sequel to Joy of Life?!?! 🥰🥰🥳🎉🎊💕💞💕
I cannot wait!!
So great to see those wonderful places,😍 thank you so much for showing them to us, love your vlogs,...
I love these vlogs. Cos I recognise the places. I love hearing the stories. I did not know the "restaurant" was based on real life.
Thank you for the storytelling ! 🤩❤️
Wonderful!❤ such beautiful scenery.
The restaurant was in Legend of Anle too, I was most impressed with myself when I noticed.
Incredible, very beautiful! Thank you!!
Wow, it's soooo cool to get to see these places that dramas were filmed in ~ thank you so much for posting these videos! This is something I've always wanted to visit and see, but no longer have the health to do so, so it's quite a treat, thank you, thank you, thank you! Much love from Idaho, USA! 🥰🥰🥰😘🥰
Beautiful place......❤❤❤❤❤thank you be well .....enjoy your days in China ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you…very famous place in dramas
Thanks for sharing more of these videos. It’s amazing to see what reality looks like compared to cinematographer.
i love the mountain sides, the grassdlands, streams and lakes too in the chinese dramas. china has a beautiful topography
Thanks so much for sharing. It looks amazing
Thank you for the tour 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I am so, so enjoying these vlogs. At my age, I will never get to visit them myself.
Your english soo good!!!!
I agree. Make sure to take time for yourself 🎉🎉
Thanks for your videos on hengdian, I really wish to go but there’s no videos on UA-cam about it ❤ please share more, even on logistics like tour guide, staying overnight etc thank you 😊😊😊
Thank you ❤👍
u are feeding us content!! and I'm here for it❤
6:11 just reminded me of the iconic scene of Bai Lu chomping down on some yummy Tanghulu in the drama "The Legends" !
oh beautiful, thank you!
Loved this, I have been looking forward to your Heng Dian vids! Thank you thank you so much for sharing. Wow!!! Big Meng Hua Lu fan here. I loved this.
Oh I love these vlogs from China so much ❤❤❤ it would be so lovely if you had also worn something flowy akin to a costume and had taken some epic shots of yourself at these locations 😊 that would have been amazing!!! In the end you said the closed interior courtyard is based on the household of the famous bad official!? Are there still records of historical figure's households? Thats amazing. I love rather small details of history like that. Like how people used to live. 😅 Apartment tour ancient china edition 😅
It’s absolutely beautiful
Oooh I just caught up on the other two Hengdian studio videos you uploaded, so I’m really excited to see this one! All of these sets just look so cool; it’s like you’re really going into a different time.
I’d love to go there myself sometime. 😭
Also it is genuinely so cool to see places I recognize from different cdramas and to make those connections… It’s almost like finding Easter eggs-it’s a different thing from it for sure, but it feels just as rewarding. 😆
I have been surprised by the lack of crowds in most of your historical vlogs. Most of the videos that I have watched of tourist places in China have been very crowded. I never get tired of watching these historical vlogs which you do so well! Hopefully, there will be many more in the future including you with your hat.
crowds are very seasonal in China, usually there is tons of people on weekends, during summer and around public holidays. Otherwise, many of the tourist locations are pretty deserted. I usually find March and April time to be the best, assuming you aviod the weeks around Qingming festival, also Tuesday and Wednedays tend to have less crowds as well. For example, I did my tour of Han and Tang dynasty imperial tombs in Xi'an during March in the middle of the week and there was only dozens of people there, while there would be thousands on weekends and probably tens of thousands during holidays.
Avoid late Jan (chinese new year) and early Oct (national holidays). Those are brutally, packed like sardine busy. All those shocking crowd pics are always taken during those 2 dates! 😂
Love these...thank you for doing them 😊
It’s so wonderful 😍😍😍
How gorgeous that place looks! Oh, if only it was possible to travel back in time, I so would love to see it in historical context, like some other historical places I've been in different countries (mostly fortresses or manors or the Old Town in Estonia, but still, the feeling is there). Can you imagine seeing this place being a theatre setup or some late evening show with all the lights on and historical clothing - I'm already drooling just thinking this. Can't wait to see your other vlogs, these have been very interesting to me and the rest of us, too.
Thanks
had to laugh so much at the they dude with his t-shirt rolled up 😂 tell me you're in China without telling me you're in China
Thank you to sharing this with us.
This channel provides me the best vlogs 😩❤❤❤✨✨
It is gorgeous
Great entertaining video thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Lovely place.. definitely gives me nostalgia of dream of splendor.
3:47 I think they used it also in under power when Jinxia join the festival where she wore that beautiful blue traditional dress. Or am I wrong?
I miss China. Lived in Changchun for some years, so I always am in a lookout for cdrama set in northeast China.
Thankyou. Really enjoy your content
THKS
🤣🤣🤣 I heard the most aggressive sneeze, I thought they were filming swordfighting when you stood at the bridge under construction. 🤣🤣🤣
The minute I saw it I said Dream of Splendor!!!!
😅 wasn't it in Imperial Coroner too?
Wow. I want to visit. Where is this again?
Thank you Avenue X for sharing. You made a comment about how hot it is there.... how did people in the era manage the heat by wearing multiple layers of clothing and hardcore hairdo (for the ladies)?
It will be absolutely amazing if you run into Dylan Wang filming "Guardians of Dafeng!" 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Interesting!
Wow😮
Next time you go, you should take some of us with you. Make it a tour group. Because we probably all be lost trying to navigate China without subtitles 😅
how hot was it during the day you visited?
I love your vlogs! Thank you for sharing with us these aspects of your life.
How do they block it off for filming if they allow tourists in everyday?
this were build for entertaiment or were part of the old city?
For drama or movie filming
Forgot to say, take care of yourself and stay cool and hydrated hehe!!
I saw love between fairy and devil poster and came here
Are the costumed individuals performing for tourists or are they filming a drama?
What amazes me is how there are still people capable of actually building such elaborate period settings! The attention to detail is astounding!
Most of them are filming for their social media 😆
