You are the best person to introduce China to the world. You speak well, you fly your drone well, you edit well, your production quality is high, you interact so well with the locals, best of all you have that sense of wonder evident in your eyes that is infectious through the screen. No lengthy intro/outtro. Kudos for another top notch episode.
Hi Lady, I am from Vietnam I just finished watching the video you made about Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and I couldn't resist writing you a note to express my heartfelt thanks. The video was truly amazing! The breathtaking images of the towering rock pillars, shrouded in mist, made me feel like I was stepping into another world. The natural beauty of the place is like a living painting, evoking the mystical landscapes of China. From the subtle camera angles to the way you captured the changing light on the mountain peaks, everything showcased your attention to detail and artistic talent. What impressed me the most was your storytelling. Your gentle, captivating narration not only guided the viewer through the stunning scenery but also felt like listening to a real-life fairy tale. Every word you chose evoked emotion and highlighted the magic of Zhangjiajie, making me long to visit the place even more. Thank you so much for sharing such a genuine and inspiring work of art. I hope you'll continue creating and sharing more incredible videos like this in the future! Wishing you all the best and continued success!
The interaction with the grandma is the highlight of this video. She seems to have reached an enlightenment considering she still has that strength at her age of over 80 years old. She can chop bamboo shoots and then can still perform weaving, which seriously requires strength to make a quality textile. Thanks for this video! ❤
You give us here in the US (at least in our home) a very different view of China than the one that we are fed here. Thank you for that. Your drone footage of that surreal landscape is once again spectacular. It's wonderful to see grannies working so hard, being strong, vital and creative, taking care of business, instead of being sapped of life by mechanization - and seeming happy!
you guys can check out those "walking channels" on youtube. there are several of them from china such as "walk east", "cn walking", "chinese street view". they can give you a glimpse what chinese streets look like nowadays. you will be surprised how well maintained and how green chinese cities are. the only problem with "walking type of channels" is that there is no narration in those videos. u could get bored rather quickly. but its not a bad way to see real chinese cities from a more objective angle since there is no one giving u any inputs about a given city, just pure video clips.
I love it when you randomly visit local houses, try their food, and show us what they do for a living. I don't think many people in the world know these places exist. Thank you so much for showing us so many rare places in China. It's truly amazing!
Most tourists will want to see ZJJ when it is bright and sunny. A few years ago a group of us from Singapore and Malaysia were in ZJJ to photograph the karst landscape. But it was overcast with clouds and mist with intermittent rain and strong wind. Our local guide who is also a photographer said this is a dream landscape for photographers. He was right! The low clouds and mist partially covered the karst mountains. The scenes looked like the black and white Chinese paintings. Despite getting slightly wet, we moved to different viewpoints to capture the surreal landscape.
Sun and blue sky is nice but repeat or return visitors will relish the moodiness of the more unsettled weather in the mountains for a totally different look and feel. Same thing for the summer season versus fall and, my favorite, winter with a beautiful blanket of snow.

My admiration of Grandma , at 80 y/o she can still do hardwork, youth of today barely do it. I know that many people in China are very proud of the ultra modern cities but to me chinese village are so beautiful. They look so peaceful and I love the typically Chinese architecture.
"Avatar" mountains are not the most spellbounding and breathtaking when the skies are clear and blue. It's when sea clouds envelope the mountainous region, creating an illusion that those peaks are floating in air, because you can't see their bases. I think that's how Cameron got his inspiration for Avatar. I like this little ethnic Miao village, calm, quiet and clean and nestled among the karst formations.

How on earth did they build this enormous elevator up that mountain? This is so mind-blowing. The scenery is breathtaking and exhilarating but scary. I love the grandma weaving the cloth fabric, she's still fit and is very lively and nice. Their village is clean and that's amazing.
The world’s longest cable car taking you from the city to top of the mountain is also there too. That one is mind blowing too. You could see it in other people travel videos I think
'Come back when you have time!' That's human fellowship. Freely-given love for a complete stranger. Hope it is extended to all people, too. Beautiful, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for taking us along to this breathtakingly beautiful scenic zone! It is a well known motive for Chinese ink drawings. I have seen a lot of these and always wondered whether and how people got up there. China does a lot to give the tourists a comfortable trip.

This area is so beautiful, and the ancient village and way of life there, the 80 year old grandmother is so inspiring and beautiful. Surely when Chinese historical dramas are filmed they make it here? It is incredible these hidden jewels in the world continue to exist, I really appreciate you filming them and sharing these places with us, thank you.
Wow it looks so amazing! And I just read that Netherlands citizens can visit China 14 days visa free as of 1 December! 😀😀 The Chinese embassy in Netherlands confirmed this as well! Now we can easily visit this beautiful places you went to!
In fact, if it takes more than 15 days, you can fly to Beijing first, travel south from coastal cities for 15 days, travel from Shenzhen to Hong Kong for one day, and then enter Chinese Mainland for another 15 days.
Simply beautiful. Wished that this video is longer. Your interaction with the locals open up a wealth of insight into minute details of their life, one that the average foreign tourist will definitely not get to see or experience. Your drone footage are priceless. There’s no other way those stunning scenery can be filmed. The drone is such an invaluable tool in the right hands and you are the person to do this👏👏👍🏼👍🏼😄
Grandma really reminds my mom and her generation who working so hard all day long for their whole life. My sister and I always amazed and really respect my mom for her energy even though she is small and not looks very physically strong. Even last sentence my mom said exactly same when guests left.
I visited Zhangjiajie in 2009. At that time, there were only the cable cars and the elevator, but the landscape was as breathtaking as ever. There was a flight of stairs that led to the Heaven’s Gate. One memorable moment was that I climbed the stairs all the way up to the Heaven’s gate. I wonder if the stairs are still there. I also went to an underground cave which was full of amazing ancient stalagmites and stalactites. There was a river that ran underground in the cave and I went on a boat ride on the underground river. The scenery was just as amazing as the mountains above the cave. Is the cave still available for tourists?
It was an incredibly beautiful and well-shot movie about an unbelievably wild and romantic landscape in China. In addition, the excellent technical infrastructure makes it possible for many ordinary people to admire the wonders of this region. Thank you very much. Sven, a German in Sweden
The way you manage to capture the feeling of visiting a place and connecting with people. It almost feels like being there. The encounter with the grandmother at the end of this video for example. I also had a similar feeling in some of your other videos. Keep up the truly excellent work!

You have the gift in making this style of video. Educational yet entertaining. Thank you for bringing us to this part of the world and giving us the glimpse of what is life out there.
Seems as though Chinese planners have been working tirelessly to give Chinese tourists the best possible experiences enjoying unique parks and landscapes. Not only using skill and creativity to create amazing railroad bridges and tunnels but also the amazing lift up the standing pillar, cable car, zip line (other video)and glass bridges. Chinese just want to have fun! Just like everyone else! You open our understanding that all of us, everywhere desire and enjoy the same things. This is the highest and best use of internet and you a fine artist creating with it!
Thank you Yan for this close view of ZhangJiaJie mountains, I must say it’s quite modern and easily accessible to view the hallelujah mountains, thanks to the superb elevator 👍
During winter time, there will be snow covered, and it is another level of beauty there. The snow seneries in southwestern China's mountanous region is quite different from the northern side. The snow scene in northern China is closer to what you can see in north America, but snow in south mountains are sooooo special, it's like heaven with all clouds around the mountains.
These mountains have always been so amazing, which I have only seen on video. I have seen the Swiss Alps, Angel Falls falling from a rain forested table top mountain in Venezuela, and the silhouette of Mt. Fuji in my travels. These mountains I hope to see someday, if I can find a good guide. My last trip abroad was a month in Western Europe and England in '17. Then Covid came and I canceled a planned trip to specifically see this region of China, and its capital. I pray I can visit the land our Flying Tigers of my father's generation that was saved from the bombings of WWII, remembering that China was our ally during that time.
I happened upon your videos after being referred by another videographer doing a piece on Paris in China, so I decided to take a look. I am very happy I did. Thank you so much for this video. As I am physically handicapped, the chance of me seeing these beautiful places and wonderful people is limited. The drone footage was nothing short of spectacular! The beauty of this place is somewhere I always dreams of going, and thanks to you, I now see that the wonders of China are it's people and land. Your explanations, video editing, and everyday conversations with the people help your viewers to see that they're no different than us. I would love to purchase some clothes from that nice old lady who creates her own fabrics. Is there any way that could be arranged? I look forward to viewing your other videos and learning more about China and its wonderful people.
I also believe that the fabric woven by those ancient machines has a kind of beauty. If paired with trendy pants. This will be a very avant-garde way of dressing.
Another fabulous episode. I love your drone work, so different to what can be achieved by a normal camera. It's excellent the way China ensures the preservation of it's minority groups. Thanks again for your such enjoyable channel.
I worked in Beijing and Xin Jiang and understand China a little bit. Since your first video where you came back from your study in Switzerland I could not help thinking that you might be in a mission to showcase China to the world. The trip showed how you as a Chinese was welcomed by the friendly countries. Then this second episode showing how China has developed so fast even in the remote places. This is a good thing of course since China has not been fairly appreciated by the world, especially the West.
Another nice showcase. Your video footage is very impressive on the mountains - as if I am in the movie itself. The village is so tranquil & clean as if time has stand still here. And building those structures required superhuman effort what with the height & steepness! Amazing builders! BTW watching those mountains is very soothing & relaxing! Thank you

Im a big fan of china from India ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for taking us along to this breathtakingly beautiful scenic zone! It is a well known motive for Chinese ink drawings. I have seen a lot of these and always wondered whether and how people got up there.
China does a lot to give the tourists a comfortable trip.
I love all your videos so much! I am an American living in Canada who is fascinated by China. Thank you so much for your lovely videos and introducing us to much there. ❤ Wonderful!
Thank you for sharing this amazing and breathtaking landscape! I love the beautiful and healthy grandma in the video as well, by the way, your crazy cliff walk video was great too, you are so brave! Stay well as always.

Pay attention to the region limitations of the visa while you are making your travel plans.
In fact 15 days.

The drone is such an invaluable tool in the right hands and you are the person to do this👏👏👍🏼👍🏼😄
いつもありがとうございます。穏やか暮らしに文化が育ちますね。平和と助け合い、「愛」ですね。感謝感謝、ありがとうございます、ありがとうございます😊

The 999 stairs are still there, but I not sure of the cave😊

😂我猜你去的地方是天门山和黄龙洞,那条地下河叫响水河,都一直在开放供游客参观的。
This old town in Dehang canyon and the old lady look like the true hidden gems.
It was an incredibly beautiful and well-shot movie about an unbelievably wild and romantic landscape in China. In addition, the excellent technical infrastructure makes it possible for many ordinary people to admire the wonders of this region. Thank you very much. Sven, a German in Sweden
välkomna du att resa till Zhangjiajie. Zhangjiajie är en plats värd att se, så vacker. Dess toppar är fantastiska.😊😊

The way you manage to capture the feeling of visiting a place and connecting with people. It almost feels like being there. The encounter with the grandmother at the end of this video for example. I also had a similar feeling in some of your other videos. Keep up the truly excellent work!
The Chinese government on Friday announced that French, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish and Malaysian citizens will be able to travel visa-free to China for a year starting December 1
I'm so jealous!!!
is thsi real or are you the usual troll?
This is real, welcome to play!

I really enjoyed this journey. Have not really watched any travel video for this long for a long time. Amazed with the amazing geography and the lifestyle of the old Chinese people.
It is amazing to see the infrastructure in such a small remote village is so neat.

The 80+ year old grandma is fit. Living a simple life rewarded with longevity.
The mountain view is amazing. It is on my bucket list.
中国好像有飞虎队纪念馆😊😊😊😊😊😊可以过来看看。前几天老飞虎队刚来过。中国人没有忘记美国飞虎队帮助中国抗日😊😊😊

Usually I watched only once. But for this episode, I watched it twice. Now it's in my bucket list to visit
Love seeing the old towns away from the city, it's truly beautiful!
Great video. Love the short encounter with the old lady. Her life seems so satisfying at 80
China can be overwhelming with its culture and nature. This channel is a gem.
Thank you
@Little Chinese Everywhere..It's heaven on Earth, mesmerizing. Thankyou for showing China to the world... sending you lots of love from India
Thank you Yan for sharing this video with us. The scenery is so breathtaking! I am really amazed with this beautiful & awesome God's creation
I live in the highlands of Scotland,, its my first time to watch your amazing video. China some beautful places we would never see, thank you so very much for showing us this area and its people too, I will watch more of your videos now. take care always.

Hi !! Yan, the video is mesmerizing. Thanks for sharing these to people like me for whom chances of visiting your country is no better than a miracle. I am from India and an economist by training. I get amazed and intrigued at the balanced growth of your country, everytime I see such videos.
Fascinatingly beautiful and well documented. Thks a million for sharing these great spots.
I really enjoy this journey with you showing us this heavenly beautiful mountain village ❤️
I think this is my favorite episode ever. So, so lovely! The mountains seem positively unreal.
The conversations you have with the locals on your tours helps me with my mandarin, thank you so much

Thanks from New Zealand, with the skills you have with the drone you showed us a China that we would not see, the people that you met are helpful and pleasant, I have read all the comments below and they all gave me the words of praise for you. Thank you.
Blessed be that old woman. She's a real one.
I’m grateful I found your channel Unseen China. It’s always interesting to see where you are filming, places I will never see in my life and places I didn’t know exist. And it’s given me a more wider mind view of China. Thank you!

What a captivating and beautiful little village. I love seeing it empty of tourists so that the architecture and stones show up so well. The national park is breathtaking. Thanks for sharing such lovely places!
The places you featured today are magical, both the mountains and the village. Noodles look amazing but I'll pass on the bugs. 😆
What a wonderful adventure. China sure is beautiful.

Yan!!! Breath taking, honest, incredible and utterly beautiful. One of the few shooting this in ultra High Def and oh my, oh my such a look into the joy you have. I feel that you should be nominated to National Geographic Explorers and have your own show on the worldwide channel. Until then, thank you and we all love you and your family dearly out here in the world.
