This is the most effective promo video for a random place in a country I've watched. I really enjoyed not just seeing the studio, but also hearing your clear commentary. I would not have thought about traveling there as a tourist before. Now, I think it would be a fun vacation. Also MERCH!!
To be honest I really love how they replicated the palace with so much detailing and grandeur! Definitely would visit if I have the opportunity since the Forbidden City is always over crowded with people especially wedding photoshoots and overseas tourists... Heng Dian seem like a good place to explore even though it's just a replica, I love the all-in-one kind of environment so I can check out every style of filming sets in just one place rather than wasting time on travelling from venue to venue~
Just finished watching the last 10 episodes of love like the galaxy a week ago so the set are very clear in my mind so it's incredible to see the irl versions, still looks very pretty especially for someone who live in europe without this type of architecture like that 😍
I think 3:02 is the corridor where LingBuyi scared the prince sh*tliess 😂and then went on to take revenge on the people who dared to push his fiance into the lake... Right?
This video was wonderful! The views, angles, and your pleasant commentary was so lovely to view. I have seen dozens of Chinese Dramas and recognize so many areas. The soldier is full suit in that high heat! Hope he is paid well! You need a parasol! Clever Government rents out Historic site! 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰I would totally be up for a costume and photos standing in front of throne! 👏👏👏
Fascinating. What a huge and intricate movie set. Really impressed how you managed all those steps in the heat of the day. Guess all those up and down walks to school that you shared in an earlier vlog has stood you in good stead. Keep sharing your travels with us, please.
Beautiful footage.. My breath was taken away when you turned at the entry.. So many dramas have those location scenes in them. Thank you for sharing. Like the music btw.
Thank you so much, for being so kind to take the time to film this, and show the true perspectives for filming. It's interesting, and gratifying to see this. Excellent vid!
Every time you showed the long corridor with the high walls, I think of The Kings Woman when Dilreba Dilurat’s character is first being brought to the palace.
THANK YOU a thousand times for this amazing video, AvenueX!!! ❤ "So familiar, it's like going home!" made me go 'YESSS, EXACTLY!' and then I started to cry... And I'm not even chinese. I'm just having a HUGE love for historical c-dramas... 😊 And wow, you answered the question about the number of steps in front of the palace! I have been wondering about that, history nerd that I am. 😄 (PS: I would go absolute bonkers in those merch shops! Mei Changsu bookmarks, Wangxian plushies and sword replicas? Yesss, please!!! RIP my wallet...)
There are over 50 busy production teams in Hengdian, Zhejiang, so you should have a high probability of seeing your favorite actors appear there. At night in the nearby town, the actors will come out to eat.
@@江宁路牛奶棚there is only one studio in hengdian in which most of the movie shoot? I mean there are lots of drama shoot on same days so how did they shoot? There is only one studio or there are different studio and places in hengdian?
Super video!!! 99 steps and not breathing too hard. super AvenueX!!!. Kudos to you for making this great video and kudos to China for building such a super place!!
Wow, what a place. I do recognize many shots. Amazed at the location with mountains rimming the site. I wonder how the courtiers coped with that long mall leading up to the palace. They must have been in great shape with all the walking/running(in emergencies) they had to do. Thank you for taking us along on this tour. ♥
Hero is one of my favourite films, I watched it over and over in my late teens and I immediately recognised that palace and it's interior. Thanks for taking us along!
谢谢 您 AvenueX you make it possible for me to see a bit of China which i would love to visit someday. Thank you again. 现在 我 正在 学习 普通话, 有 一天 我 会很 想 去 参观 你们 的 国家。
This is great 🤣 . Most period dramas I have watched are all concised in one spot. I never go to China and I am truly intrigued all the spots you shoot your videos. Thank you 🤩❤️
After seeing this it makes me want to got there and explore the different locations specially the long coridor that shaoshang the third prince walk and the souvenire store i would spend so much money😂😂
Wow, incredible! The place is massive and you showcase just 1 location. Even as a dramas watcher, I recognize the scene but I really appreciate your pin the drama in each section of the palace. Thank you so much for sharing!
I would visit! (If I ever get to go to China, I'm Scottish.) I've only been into C-dramas for a year or two but I've started to recognise a couple of the bigger and more obvious sets when they appear in the dramas. It's fun to spot them. I want Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu plushies too.
Zhejiang Hengdian has over 50 crew members filming every day, so you should be more likely to see your favorite actor appear there. At night in the nearby town, the actors will come out for dinner.
i'm a new c-drama fan, it was maybe in my 3rd period/costume drama that i noticed how some infrastructures look soooo similar, googled, and learned about Hengdian. Thanks for this tour!
It brings back so many wonderful memories of dramas! Especially Nirvana on Fire. Thank you, AvenueX ❤️🙏 And those shops? They will be the death of me. I would buy plush toys, bookmarks, cakes, etc 😍
🤓😃😎.....I salute you for walking up 99 steps. I wonder what the actors go through during the shooting of dramas? And in the scorching heat?!😲 If I want to go there, how can I go there.....coming from London, UK? Thank you again 🙏for this amazing effort in shooting this video.
Ooh I just went to qin wang gong this past summer! I went to 3 places in hengdian. There's a place to the side of the main entrance where they have a fake roof and a sign that says "the same kind of roof as in the untamed!" It's so funny
This is amazing! I’ve always wanted to visit this place. Thanks for showing us around, I feel like I will spend all my money on merch if I ever go here lol.
I love this video Thank you! I would get dressed and take pictures😂 I would love to visit China but I need to get in physical shape first you have been walking so much! I don't know if could walk so much!
Thank You so much for doing this! The cut away to the actual films that were shot at each locations were perfect. I wish they would make an actual Qin Palace in the U.S. This is so well done Thanks again.
Whoa, so many familiar angle shots... and you're so right - it's so familiar it almost feels like coming home, ahaha. Thanks for sweating it out to show us the place. Really cool!
That's on my bucket list! Thank for sharing and later if you need someone to take silly scarfs pictures with you I'll be happy to be in the picture too🤭❤
What a gorgeous place, and even I recognized several places in it. Good thing I am not there! I probably wouldn't be able to filter myself for all the Nirvana In Fire and Joy of Life souvies! You are doing a great job with these little Vlogs and I am looking forward to the rest.
Thank you for sharing! i hope to visit one day! It looks so beautiful just like the dramas! Haha, 40 Canadian dollars is not to bad! Once in a lifetime for me if I go! i would do fancy shots lol!
Omg, I really really want to go there! It looks beautiful, and so awesome to see so many familiar places. Also, I would buy so much of that merch, lol.
VERY interesting. HOW many times have I seen that long corridor(?) high walled & dark in the palace? I guessed it had to be somewhere but where. To know it is actually a part of a palace was a bit of a surprise I guess. But the surrounding building/ palace was fabulous. Recognised so many features from so many dramas. I imagine they buy days to shoot & close off the palace for that time. Wouldn’t you be MOST annoyed if you’d made the trip to find you couldn’t get in because it was closed😢😡. As for dressing up in an appropriate costume I’d be there like a shot. ☺️. Here in the U.K. we have a few places where we can do the same but it’s usually Victorian which let me tell you are anything but as colourful as the Chinese garments of the day portrayed here. Very informative & interesting to watch. And we’ll done 🏆for the 99 steps.
When I first visited real forbidden city in Beijing, I just could not imagine how the production team could manage to shut the tourists for shooting the scenes..becoz of the crowds...lol hehe..then i learned that they took the shoot in Heng Dian..wkwkw
do they just shut the whole thing down for filming? how expensive were tickets? dream bucketlist for sure! what do you mean it looks better on camera than in person? it looks spectacular from here. would be so easy to get in character with this sort of setting. these looks gorgeous!

I mean it really puts into perspective the scale of these palaces. Fantastic.

amazed at how they are captured and presented many ways in dramas!! hahaha
Oh, it is so wonderful! I can't wait to go there.
It brings back so many wonderful memories of dramas! Especially Nirvana on Fire. Thank you, AvenueX ❤️🙏
And those shops? They will be the death of me. I would buy plush toys, bookmarks, cakes, etc 😍
That corridor reminds me the most of the total angst of The kings woman when she enters the palace.
@klaraelisabeth I thought the same. That corridor seems like a silent character in The kings woman more than any of the other historical dramas.
Thank you so much for sharing! I've been wanting to find Hengdian vlogs on UA-cam but they're hard to come across. On my bucket list.
Absolutely eye opening! I hv no idea places like this exist. Thank you thank you for bringing us along. I love love period dramas.
Looks so beautiful! Thank you for braving the weather for all of our eyes
I would spend so much money at that souvenir store.....
wooooow!as a chinese historical movie lover I recognize all the places where the movie shots, its all started my interest when I was in my teens.
It feels like the Universal Studios of China. So cool. Putting on my bucket list ❤
Wow, just wow. That palace looks so breathtakingly beautiful, I so want to see it with my own eyes. Maybe someday.
Thank you that was awesome!
🤓😃😎.....I salute you for walking up 99 steps. I wonder what the actors go through during the shooting of dramas? And in the scorching heat?!😲

Most enjoyable video, fun to watch, entertaining and educational. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for that. It was great. It just goes to show also, how huge that place really is. I really enjoyed placing all my fave dramas.
Really enjoyed the tour of the studio!!! Thank u for taking us there!!!

Really love your Vlog video😍😍😍😍😍😍
That was an awesome tour, thank you so much!
Excellent, many thanks xx
Beautiful place❤❤
Reminds me of Universal Studios, all they need is a tram tour, if it's not already available
Tq❤

« Its like going home » 😂😂😂😂😂 exactly!
Wow! What a surreal experience, to be sure!
Did you get yourself some fun souvenir?
"Exit through the gift shop." 😊

As an international fan who watches a lot of C-Drama's, this vlog is so amazing. Seeing the palace makes me add this place to my travel wishlist.
Looooove it!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
