I remember once when my dad gave me money to pay the electricity bill but instead i bought a lottery ticket for a brand new car. When i got home,i explained to my dad what i did and he beat the crap out of me. But the next day,when my dad woke up and opened the door,outside my house was a brand new car. I don't think we need a microprocessor based boards at each and every appliance. It can be used as a central control unit(the one with android os) which connects and gathers information from all the other mc based boards.

I believe Android Things is a great way for Android Developers to get into IOT! Their's so many ideas going through my mind what I can create that'll better people's lives. Especially since it's linked up to all Android API's!! I think I'm thinking about using Android things now!

Besides that if you are running hardware that supports a full blown Linux system then ..... oh right Google ok. Not that you can't make and sort of software with any type of functionality with any type of connectivity with any type of programming language on that hardware....
