User Drivers! Real extensible Fused Location Provider! This is all the legacy of Project Ara. I really hope the Moto Z2 does all of this.
Mike Trieu Care to Explain?
Project Ara introduced the concept of the Greybus, device classes, and user-mode drivers hosted by the individual module devices to the Android code base. The Moto Z currently uses this to initialize its own modules. As for Fused Location Provider, it has traditionally been locked to only use the built-in sensors while only allowing devices like external GPS to interface with Android via the Mock Location Provider. Now external sensors can finally be a first class citizen on the platform.
So many Indians here. #FELLPROUD
Arch Gloom yes we have. But do you guys have brains?
I swear this is so backwards. Why not use something like the IOIO-OTG www.sparkfun.com/products/13613. It can do everything AndroidThings can do and more, because it uses regular Android.
my understanding Google is going to handle to OS level updates so you can focus on the app not patching security holes etc
They already do that with regular Android, and the developer still has to focus on the hardware plus the app.
