i have chaos pf to thank for it as i refused to join the majority of pf's doing the 'cheese' strat that were using the exploit after the lodestone post asking players not to, and was lucky enough to try this pretty early on. before line strat we were having the tanks solo like in the line strat, and then light partying the other 3, which was super fun but i think it makes the cleaves too chaotic for some people. embrace the chaos! \o/
Thank you so much for this. I have never really wanted to take part in EX trials of current content due to PTSD from playing WoW and that toxic community.... As a Healer main let me tell you I am terrified of going into this with a random group(Thanks WoW! Gotta love being told to kill yourself for mistakes being made) since that's the only way I'll be able to even do this. I really love the new wings you get from these EX Trials(If you're lucky!) and I love this particular boos theme so much, it's probably my favorite track int he game to date, haha. I'll be taking note and studying this heavily for a few days before giving it a go. Thank you again for the informative video! :D

The first extreme trials of an expansion tend to be softened quite a bit to make them accessible and beatable while players get their item level up and learn their new abilities so now is a great time to start! I got all of my first clears of these in pf and while I'm quite experienced it gives me anxiety sometimes as well to do less face rolly content with randoms. Especially since i just swapped to healing and have to keep other people alive xd just remember those wings and get in there and get to work! Practice makes perfect

Thanks for the guide , would it be possible to share the settings/options ui you got , like party color , red for melee , green healers etc , basically tips for best settings as I play with default and I think I need to change some, I also happens to play sage :) thought your settings might be really helpful for a new player getting into extremes
thank you for the kind words! if you have questions about anything in particular, feel free to let me know, but for how everyone's named are color coded, open character configuration (default hotkey K), select "Log Window Settings" in the very bottom left, and at the top of the tab that appears select "Name Display Settings". Here you can apply various filters like green to healers, blue to tanks, or however you like. this is also where the option to show job icons appears. two tabs up from Log Window Settings you can find Display Name Settings, which will let you do things like choose not to have pet nameplates appear, or set other party members to have abbreviated names. above that tab is "UI Settings", select that and on the top right select Party List, and here you can set how many buffs display on the party list (10 is maximum, which I use), as well as a checkbox to display how much time is remaining on buffs/debuffs. hopefully that is clear enough to follow, those are the most important things I think that you asked about, but if you have any trouble or need help feel free to reach out to me on discord @rainesama and i will do my best to help!
My question is light mitigation isn't cutting it for me on projection stacks? I just end up dying if I don't invuln the solo tank stack. Then he does the other buster after conga line and I don't even have an invuln to take it cause I had to survive the stack...
hmm, assuming your ilvl is 690+ you shouldn't need too much, but it will vary by tank. i was doing this on war, and if i had zero vulns, thrill of battle + bloodwhetting was more than enough, and then i equilibrium up before the first melee stack goes off. you can always use more for this, the first one you should be able to kitchen sink with all your cds (minus invuln) and take virtually no damage from. the second one is right after the regicidal rage tethers, i usually pop vengeance (40%) and bloodwhetting for that, and then ramp/thrill/bloodwhetting for the solo stack. if you are dying to the solo stack and have at least your spammable cd plus a rampart or thrill or something offering you 10-20%, then -do you have vuln stacks? if yes, you will need more cds. are you full hp? if no, then you will need more cds (his autos hurt and he autos after giving everyone the stack buffs so healers should be topping you). is your party using their mitigation effectively? things like phys range 15% mit, picto's aoe shield (hard to use effectively here since it is only 10s but the melee hits are the scary ones so that's where i try to), whm's veil/divine benison and other single target cds should all be employed here. if you are playing with pf, then your healers might just not be doing enough. if you're playing with a coordinated group then you can tell them you need more. when i'm healing if i see my tank has 2-3 vulns or i have any concern about their life, i dump personals, and my raid mits i use before the tank stacks even go off because by the time the stacks reach the ranged the scary part of the healing is over. but without seeing footage i can't say for sure what -exactly- is causing the problem. also make sure you and the other tank aren't clipping each other, since the vuln will kill you

@@RainesamaXIV I went into this a few hours ago and there's a lot less healing that I expected. Didn't clear but got to the wind KB thing. The other one has more healing, I'd agree.
keep at it and you'll get it in no time. i think on this one i spend more time ressing than healing xd but once everyone starts figuring it out there isn't too much to heal besides the stacks and phase transitions

As for which tank goes where, after grabbing both tethers tank one goes left facing the boss and tank two goes right. There will be multiple safe spots in each quadrant, usually at least one with melee uptime, but it just depends on the pattern. The last regicidal rage after half circuit is a bit more chaotic since the raid isn't always stacked but i would say anyone not with the main group needs to be responsible for not getting hit by the tbs, tanks only have so much time to adjust
it's definitely the hardest part of the fight, they seem to snapshot super early relative to the animations. i was able to get consistent on it by getting used to the rhythm of donut/circle > boss cleave mech > donut/circle, and some of my coraiders like just trying to follow the donut line. i still wind up with a toe in the cleave sometimes, but it's one of those things where more practice will make it more comfy
it seems like a lot more than it is and most things won't one-shot you while learning. the only somewhat consistent pain point i've seen is learning the donuts/circles while layered with the cleaves. practice makes perfect! don't let it deter you

UA-cam is a video search engine that does not offer a spoiler system and in fact punishes channels for not using the appropriate search engine optimization. Man i can not get the projection of triumphs right. Its always just a gamble if i live or not
