I always find Ex trials to be infinitely more engaging than savage fights. This one in particular is honestly a very good ex and I’d rate it higher than the current savage floors. Really good guide!
Not confirmed, but it seems that baited flares are just player aoes so if they're always on tanks, they hit like tbs, but if they can be on any player they are easily cheesable.
@@DacianGradaMusic Flares are always survivable on the person that they're baiting on. But they do proximity based damage on everyone else, which is why they're "supposed" to be spread out away from the rest of the group. But sometimes, like in this case, their proximity based damage is not very impressive and it's less important to spread them away.
@@phiefer3 yeah that's the thing, I think the base DMG is still considered to be for any player to take it, so it's not that different than stacking circle aoes but those are usually deadly due to the specific vulns they give. Idk if it's a coding issue or whatever but it's weird that flares are now even in the hall of the novice and they teach you to bring them away when in some cases it's irrelevant
On law of ice I agree with priority strat, but to further eliminate possible problems you could split party with melees (t/m) front bridge, ranged (h/r) back bridge since as stated it targets either t/h first or dps.
That's a very good idea. You could even set a priority in the event that both rolles have to go in the same direction: MT before OT and M1 before M2 / H1 before H2 and R1 before R2
For Radical Shift it looks like the platform thats coming in has an outline for a brief moment for anyone who struggles to see the wind rotations behind Queen Eternal. Great guide, thanks!
The idea that you can always use the TTTT strategy isn't entirely accurate. Each Tether player has a 50/50 chance to receive the Stack Marker. If one of the Tanks gets this marker, that Tank will die if they attempt to soak it alone. An invulnerability skill is mandatory in this scenario. Therefore, the only viable way to execute the TTTT strategy is to swap out the Tank who receives the Stack Marker during the second cycle.
Weighty Blow : The LP can stand at the last meteor of the vertical line for the first 3 hits. Not sure if this was an intentional design, but some PFs preferred it for consistency.
For the ice bridge, wouldn't it make sense to mix dps and support? Since they tether by roles, if there's only one person in your role next to you, you'd only have to identify what that one other person has
@@hisoka8202 There is enough room. Just drop all 4 at once. As long as no one is getting hit by 2 AoEs they won't explode. Its harder to judge the distance for doing a column if you drop them in seperate sets.
wish more people would line up like this for law of ice instead of 7 people following me anywhere i stand. I wear glasses for a reason dont make this harder
For the meteors, another option I was thinking of, seeing how the mechanic plays out, is to have one role drop on the platform, one off, for both waves. Say, supports on, DPS off. Tank drops front, healer behind, staggered side-to-side on the platform (say, tanks outer, healers inner or something). After the first wave, they simply step backwards on the platform, while the DPS stay put off. Result is a canted Z of meteors that allow you to just go front to rear for the meteor intercepts, and avoids trying to cram the platform all at once in the first wave, and then cram the not-platform space for the second wave.
@@Mischki100 Ya, that's a good call too. Reduce the movement and just park it. I didn't know how prickly they were about proximity, I've yet to log in since patch (Dragon Age atm)
@@KaedysKor If you all do a line without the spread aoes killing eachother, then the meteors will be fine. As why you should place them all in the first set, so you can place them in respect to everyones spread around them.
You can simply form a line and drop the second set. Staying afk behind the last one solves it easily. No stupid additional movement. Way more clean imho
Why not do the icicle conga lines with light parties? Icicles are teathered role-based, so doing conga lines with light parties reduces potencial bridge overlap because only 2 persons per line have to use their 2 available bridges, instead of all 4.
12:56 - I think an easier way to solve this is simply to assign each crystal to a bridge. Each bridge gets two crystals. First tethers move first, second tethers pre-position and move second once it's safe. Thoughts? It eliminates having to check your party members who may already be on the move with tethers crossing everywhere, and you have to check the crystal you're tethered to anyway. Removes a step involved in resolving the mechanic and likely reduces the amount of chaos with having to check moving tethered targets. Don't know how to get this information out there if people like it, but I think this solution may be easier. You could also return in reverse order across the same bridge.
I still don’t understand how you know which platform is coming next in Radical Shift… What is the signifier that tells you if it’s the platform in the west wall or east wall? Does she slam down on the side that is next??? Can someone please clarify this??
MrHappy specifically said that the skybox behind the boss determines which way it shifts. clockwise means the one on the east is going to rotate underneath you. CCW means the west one will be.
There is a blue,orange-ish whirlwind behind her during the animation that indicates it. it rotates either clockwise or counterclockwise. If clockwise, its the east plattform it gets changed into, if counterclockwise its the west plattform.

Look at the wall you are tethered to. If you are tethered to the right side (your right) of the triangle, walk into the right corner. Left side goes to the center of the wall. Or another way to explain it: Shift all triangles clockwise and stay close to the tether.
