Nicely explained and demonstrated, Mark! Great guide for newbies and old dogs, too!

Good tutorial! We used to use the track nails but on our current layout we glued the track to the cork with wood glue.

Thank you, once I have completed the ballasting I can remove the pins.

Reopening of closed Railway lines bring back Donegal trains as well as bordering counties would cut down on Pollution, Car Accidents, Road Deaths & Traffic Jams, 24 hour trains in summertime & St. Stephen's Day trains are needed.

My biggest regret was not purchasing PECO CODE 75 CONCRETE FLEXIBLE TRACK from very beginning 3years ago in oo gauge by the way

I stick with the code100 as I have a lot of old stock. Peco track is the way to go though.

Hello Mark, just subbed although I've been looking at all channels to find a decent one, I think I've done that as you explain so much, I've just started modelling again after 50 plus years and I need a lot of help to modernise. I'd like to model a local village on a mainline that's no longer got a station but was busy in the early 1900's, plus an off shoot to another village that lost the whole line from the first village and station. Have you or your knowledgeable viewers any idea where I can get track plans please. My son lives in the village and he's very interested as is my granddaughter. Thanks in anticipation, cheers, Ray

Hi Ray welcome on board. If you are modelling an actual place search for old OS maps of the area and this should give you an idea of the track layouts.

Hi Mark, nice video. I wish I kept it simple on my first go. On a topic totally unrelated to this; I’ve been looking on the internet for a loco wall mounted display case and noticed you have some on your walls. Did you make them or buy them?

Thank you. the display case I got from Lidl. They have them in ever now and again.

I've found in the past that laying track is not too difficult. The problem I encounter is (let's say for simplicity I'm building a circle of track) that last piece of track that completes the circle is where i have problems. I never seem to be able to lay this track without problems. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you can draw a centre line to follow as laying it. Also lay the track if you can before you fix it in place.
