  • Oprah Winfrey was so inspired by a CBS News story on a high school principal changing his students’ lives, she decided to help in a big way. New Jersey principal Akbar Cook started the Lights On program in Newark to give students somewhere safe to hang out on Friday nights. Last Friday, Oprah showed up with a half million dollar donation and pizza. David Begnaud reports on the surprise. Principal Cook also joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss what he plans to do with Oprah's donation.

I remember this speaker in high school had this quote "Every child is one caring adult away from a success". This man is proof of that!

For those of you who were and impressed at Trump for donating $400k salary... 127k to 164k per day for Protection. I'm sure these numbers have risen. Golf trips 72m. Trips to Maralago as of 4/5/19 are at 72m. President Obama spent in an entire year what Trump spends in a month!!! Do the math. God bless Miss Oprah and those who Can and Do in the things that matter!

That's a great story and apparently this is the replacement for community centers like the ones that I had when I was young. We should have to rely on billionaires but politicians don't work for communities like this. It has probably save lies and saved people from getting caught up in law enforcement issues. Two great stories this morning including the billionaire at Morehouse and once again we shouldn't have to rely on billionaires but wealth inequality

Mr. Cook's behavior is how I imagine a Bernie Sanders presidency would be toward America and Americans. A person who truly cares about the welfare of all and doing whatever it takes to make them successful.
