In 2021, I retired from working with the elderly after 42 years. For the past 3 years, I have been the caregiver for my best friend of 35 years. On Saturday, Dec 21st, she passed away. Being a caregiver can be exhausting. Losing that loved one is heartbreaking, but I know my reward will be in heaven. May God bless this lovely lady and all those who are caring for others.
@kellydevito449, What you gave to your best friend in her final years is far greater than anything money can buy. You will be reunited in heaven and you will truly understand how much your love for her meant. Please take time for yourself to grieve, rest and recover. I hope that your memories of your best friend keep you going when things are tough. Blessings.
Condolences for you and your family... Such a tough time of year to lose a loved one. I, myself, have just gone through the tragedy of losing my dad and his wife in a tragic car accident on the 6th of Dec this year. God bless...🎄🙏🕊️
Sending love to you. I know that weird combination of relief and grief. So grateful I truly believe I will be reunited with those I love who have passed. Really keeps things in perspective for me.
She's a Sweetheart 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31:
Imagine existing in 2024. You worked your entire life to provide for your aging wife. Then you get sick and die, and the only thing the Internet cares to remember about you is "your wife was amazing" lol. God corrected his mistake by making me gay.
Alzheimer's is the cruelist disease. It robs the person of themselves & leaves those who love that person to have the longest goodbye. Sincere condolences to Carissa & her family this Christmas
I pray there is some way to slow it down by eliminating some of the toxic chemicals in our food that I believe causes all this shit. I truly hope rfk can make a difference 🙏
This was one of my favorite episodes. The story brought tears to my eyes. That poor woman was under tremendous stress. When she saw that car, it was like a ton of bricks were lifted. Now you have me in tears with this update. Many prayers for them 🙏
I’m crying tears seeing her receive the gift and again seeing Randy had died. What a horrible disease. She’s a strong woman whose strength comes from the Lord!
The same lord that gave him the horrible disease? Make it make sense🤦🏽♂️ Psalm 139:16 God already wrote your destiny! You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed Part of his sick divine plan. POS
@@thebodykeepsthescore2828 You need help. What a horrible thing to say!! Just because you are not born again and have NO CLUE who God really is, don't share your ignorance in such a wicked manner. Read the WHOLE story. Don't just cherry pick some random verse that some other ignorant person told you about. Grow up.
Randy seemed so incredibly sweet with their kitty. the way he adjusted his grip when the cat started to squirm a little. Prayers to Carissa and family 🙏 RIP Randy ❤
Such a heartwarming story. I had my parents move in with us the last 3 yrs of their life. They passed away in 2022 nine days apart. My mom saved every letter anyone wrote her.I found a letter I wrote to my parents in 1985 I had just accepted into Nursing school and was asking for help with the books. The last couple sentences in my letter I said “ Your going to need a good nurse to take care of you when you get old” What a blessing it was to have them with us. Thanks for ALL your heartwarming stories .
I just rewatched Carissa's video recently to be inspired once again by her sweet spirit, grace and kindness. Sorry to hear of Randy's passing. My deepest sympathizes!!
I worked with brain damaged residents for 23 years. The families couldn't deal with the behaviour, stress or fatigue. When someone is sick but they are slowly improving the load is still very heavy but optimistic. Although I only worked 12 hour shifts I left that facility very burned out. That doesn't mean I know how this lady felt or feels today because I wasn't related to the people I cared for. Thank you for taking a small load off her and giving her spontaneous kindness which is the most powerful love in the universe.
My daughter and I sponsored one of the "100 Neediest Families", here in St. Louis. I hit up all my buddies, and other family members, and anyone what would listen. We made it a truly memorable Christmas for one down on their luck families. Best. Christmas. Ever...and not necessarily for them, but for us.
karissa is one of the first Secret Santa episodes that I saw and I will never forget her reaction and how it moved me. What an astonishingly appreciative person.
My heart aches for her 💔. I know all to well what she has gone through. I was my mother's full time caregiver, as she suffered from dementia as well. It was the hardest year of my life, but also the most spiritual one as well. She passed away last September at the young age of 75. I miss her every day! So I know the grief she is experiencing. I send the biggest virtual hug to her & her family 🤗.
Just in case Carissa is reading these messages, please let me offer my sincere sympathy to you and your family. God is faithful and will sustain you and lift you up through these hard times.
Carissa, I'll give a shout out to ALL caregivers around the world not just SE Idaho. This also includes medical staff who cares for these people, especially, when family doesn't come and visit. Thanks for the update Nate.
God Bless U for caring for Randy as you did ! I cared for my Partner of 38 years for over 19 years as he suffered from Huntington's Disease, then later on Dementia entered the mix, Christopher passed away in October this year, in his own home with Me being his sole caregiver. I'm forever grateful that He is free from pain and I was able by The Grace of God to keep my promise He would never see a care Center. The struggles were insurmountable and the heartache unimaginable--however-- I earned My Wings--and--God Is Awesome Carissa God Bless You ! !
I remember how Randy carried his cat outside to see the new car. Every year when these secret Santa videos start up again I think of him doing that. Rest easy Randy.
My mother had dementia and was bedridden and I was the sole caretaker for years so I can feel Carissa. Dear lady, please take good care of yourself now. Love from Greece ❤
Of all the Secret Santa segments, this story has always stuck out to me as the reason Secret Santa is so important. Reminding people that they are seen and loved. Their story has changed me to spend more effort in letting people know they are seen and especially they are loved.
As a full time carer in the UK for my mother who is in her 90's I can understand how hard it was for her to care for both her husband and father, in the UK we probably have more safety nets especially with the NHS than she will have had and for that we are blessed, I have followed Secret Santa, Nate and the gang for four years now and it is a wonderful thing to see, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope that you all have some peace today.
Of all your Secret Santa videos, the one with Clarissa and Randy stuck out the most to me. While I'm happy to see the update, I very sorry to hear of Randy's passing. "
Merry Christmas from the UK 🇬🇧 I watch every year, and your videos are the best thing on UA-cam. Secret Santa is so generous. Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2025.
I am a 2x widow. My heart goes out to this beautiful woman. Her mom and this family. I am so sorry for all of your losses, I'm sure there must have been so many. I pray for beautiful new beginnings for each of you as you press on to complete God's purpose for you on this earth. ❤❤❤
Christmas day in New Zealand 🇳🇿. Greetings to everyone involved in this amazing show. I shouldn't watch too many of these because I cry tears all the time 😢
My father was diagnosed with early-stage dementia this year... he's in his mid-80s. He can still drive and do a lot of things on his own, but who knows for how long!
This one has been in my top five all-time for a long time. Sorry to hear her husband passed away my wife's father died a few months ago as well. Merry Christmas anyway.
What a beautiful story about a very deserving family. I’m so sorry for the circumstances and saddened by Randy’s death. Alzheimer’s is such a cruel disease.
Thank you, Nate. These updates are very helpful. This Christmas will be difficult for the family you highlighted today. It's never easy. May the family find peace despite the pain and sorrow. Thanks again to Secret Santa, for his gifts last a lifetime. Merry Christmas, and may God bless you all this year, and every year.
Please pass on my deepest sympathy as I lost my mother-in-law to Alzheimer's 7 years ago and she was only 52 I understand what that lady has been going through but just let her know she's a pure angel for what she did for her husband and it shows how strong she is I wish her a merry Christmas and to all you keep caring for others and secret Santa you are a truly amazing person you inspire so many people even though a lot of us are struggling your videos at this time of year truly make the struggle worth going on and proves that some people with money are not like a lot of them and he needs to be praised for all his hard work and making others lives better merry Christmas to all and keep showing love the most important part of life❤
Oh I'm so sad for her family with her husband passing away. My thoughts and prayers are with her nd her strength and inspiration and love she shared for all with such beauty and grace is beautiful. Blessings to all and Merry Christmas. ❤❤❤
It's wonderful to watch this lady's happiness at her car. Dementia is one of the worst diseases, my mum had early-onset Alzheimer's for years. Hoping that this family finds happiness in the future.
Secret Santa is a saint and could not have located a finer emissary to the deserving people of East Idaho than Nate. It is true to say the entire country benefits from the huge heart of Secret Santa, who is the embodiment of Peace on Earth, Goodwill to Men. Merry Christmas, Santa.
I too lost my Mother this year from a 4 year battle with dementia. Tomorrow will be the first Christmas without her. Stay strong, my prayers are with you and your family.
My first Christmas without my mom, too. Lost her in August. I hold her in my heart and will celebrate our King’s birth with her. But, it has been tough these past few weeks. Blessings to you ❤️
These updates are every bit as touching and beautiful as the first video. What an amazing update. I always have tears of happiness and gratitude when I see these videos. Secret Santa is an amazing person. ❤
These segments remind me that there are good people in the world. Secret Santa, you do impact the recipients of your generosity. But you also impact all the viewers too. Thank you and Nate and his crew. Blessings for all of you.
Bless that woman and her family she is so well spoken and thoughtful and you can't tell by looking but she has very broad shoulders to carry the weight God has put on her. Stay strong and know people are here for you Merry Christmas and God bless
Merry Christmas Nate and Secret Santa crew ! Your videos start my morning with love and hope for our country, and I love to see all the special recipients each day!
I’m so deeply moved emotionally by this update and seeing the video again of Carissa receiving the car and brokenhearted about Randy having passed! Thank you, Nate, and crew that so compassionately carry out and deliver Secret Santa’s gifts! May God richly bless each of you!!! ❤️
Thank you guys so much for still sharing these videos! I know it’s probably rough trying to do this during the holiday season but for people who are having a hard time staying in the season or who are missing others you’re doing such a great service! Love watching this from Tennessee,!
Wow ,if we could find a way to " bottle" the strength of this indpirationally strong woman, we would all live better lives My condolences for your loss My admiration and respect for your genuine humanity and compassion RIP RANDY❤
This video is beautiful. Rest in peace Randy. My dad had dementia and two brain tumours, I know the challenge you have and had. Her message of gratitude is rare. Go peacefully everyone, love thy neighbour. Merry Christmas. From the UK.
These videos of secret Santa always make me cry! Such joy from such a great gestures! It’s secret Santa for our eyes and ears, God bless whoever they are🙏🙏
I do really enjoy watching this channel secret Santa. So true being a full time care giver is sooo hard. I recently became my husband full time caregiver he’s needing 24 hours care. Sorry for your loss. My condolences.
What a strong, remarkable, and well deserving lady! Her faith comes through loud and clear. My prayer for Gods comfort for her and all who grieve the loss of someone they have loved and lost. Hang tough, God is not done and He still has a plan for you.🙏🏼✝️✡️
I have not directly received a gift from secret Santa, but I receive one everytime i watch one of these videos. He/she blesses my heart.
Well said!!!
So true,Merry Christmas y’all.God bless us all
From California, and want to say I am really impressed with Idaho’s care for each other. You should be very thankful!
So very well spoken and exactly how I feel myself!
AMEN to that!!! best thing out there this time of year!
That news broke my heart, Randy was very lucky to have such a beautiful and strong wife.
A very amazing video I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovrian caner. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful(f3^
Blessed...not lucky. 😊 To God be the glory!!!
🤦♂️ So instead of giving a genuine tribute to his passing, you instead make this about the wife. I can't lol. I literally can't.
A lovely woman and a beautiful message.
I love updates ❤

Prayers for you. Be blessed.
RIP Randy - you were blessed with such a beautiful caring wife
Caregiving is such hard work and he was blessed with an amazing wife.

The longest goodbye is so poignant. Dementia is awful, and I hope we find cures for these diseases soon.

She was one of my favorite recipients. Glad there was an update!
This woman right here is more than inspiring one of the strongest people I've ever laid my eyes on
May, Randy rest in peace. What a lucky man to have someone love him so totally and unconditionally.
Such a caring heart she has, I hope she is doing well after the loss of her Randy.

I love these followups. Usually when people receive a Secret Santa gift, they are at a loss for words, so you can't see how much it helps them.
Thank you Secret Santa.
What a sweet lady! Thank you for helping her and her children!!💞
What a beautiful woman. Sending love and prayer as they move forward without Randy.
My brother and I were/are caregivers for our parents. Mom passed away in July, 2021, but thankfully, dad is still with us, going strong at 93.
Hugs to Carissa.... My mom passed from this same disease. Its always so difficult to see people suffering from it.

What a strong, remarkable, and well deserving lady! Her faith comes through loud and clear. My prayer for Gods comfort for her and all who grieve the loss of someone they have loved and lost. Hang tough, God is not done and He still has a plan for you.🙏🏼✝️✡️
