    dont ask why taiwanese cooking mantis shrimp this way. every races have their own way to enjoy their food, why american eat meat with bread or buns? why asian eat meat with rice? dont blame them... its their way to enjoy food. taste first, and comment later...

      i just think this shrimp's horribly prepared
      i dont question the seasoning and the flavors, im sure it's one of the best but i highly doubt the meat's fully cooked inside. The shell didn't even change its color ffs and the way he decided to cut it mid way to introduce shell pieces in the meat screams that i dont eat it

      NO argument about what it would cost but at least they would have removed the vein before cooking it. That vein is the digestive track and the black stuff is shrimp shit. Enjoy your shrimp.

      They are over $20USD a lb and those big ones are over a pound. I'm thinking each shrimp is at least $20 if not $40. Thats a $50+ dollar plate at a restaurant.

      a teppanyaki is a griddle.
      rooting the word out, teppan mean iron, and yaki mean grill
      technically you can say it's a type of grill with flat surface.

      Yeah but regular shrimp don't taste nearly as good as mantis shrimp... It's not even a shrimp, you NOOB - it's a STOMATOPOD. So yes - if you want to enjoy the meaty, sweet, succulent taste of Stomatopod - these Mantis Shrimp needed to be plated.

    我认为这么炒,鲜会跑,即使添水分肉感会硬,看出厨师要把调料灌入虾里面。小小的建议,还不如准备个盆把调料和虾当进去腌制5到8分钟,这样鲜味不会跑加上肉感不松,炒起来不费工夫肉感不会发硬。味与生同在,您认为呢?

      OK, sure, we have not tasted it but the dude did not remove the 'vein' as in the digestive track filled with shrimp poop. That is what that black line is by the way, it is not a 'vein' at all. Even small shrimp need to be deveined. But by all means, don't let me stop you, go ahead and enjoy your shrimp poop.

    these mantis shrimps are not even from Taiwan.....they are sourced from somewhere else (judging from the size...Sri Lanka)....and in the video, when the guy who cooks it( I am not even going to call him a chef), the mantis shrimp is not even firm, but soggy......frozen stuff.

    probably help if the heat was actually on whilst cooking.the garlic/oil isnt even frying the sauces barely even steam up upon applying them on the grill.about the only thing catching temp is the h2 o
