Pretty sure snipers play(ed) drop zone because there was an incentive for people to actually play the objective (lol) so it was easier to hit sniper clips because people grouped up more.

team deathmatch is like the red bag of doritos, just cause it’s one of the OGs doesn’t mean there’s not better ones out there. the blue cool ranch bag could be hardline, it’s TDM with a purpose, the purple bag could be domination lmaooo

Prop Hunt will forever be my favourite gamemode in Call of Duty. I remember playing it so much in MWR and WW2. When you were the last one alive being chased by everyone was one of the most tense moments. Shooting at random stuff was fun too

I had some great times playing search & rescue on ghosts because it felt like it gave the absurdly large maps more life. What other games has it come back in? Also agree hq might be the most underrated mode, sad it’s not in mw3

I didn't know that Team Defender was a reskin. I absolutely hated it though because it was confusing as hell as my team would do really well (or at least we thought we did) kills wise and holding the flag wise, and yet we still lose.
Yeah! It’s an expansion or remix of old school Defender. I think they decided to make some changes because the original mode had some flaws. Just a guess.
2019's gunfight mode is top 3 for me. Rekindled my love for the series. I don't think the Nu MW2 and 3 versions compare. Also, I would welcome a re-tooled Heist mode without DBNO
Gunfight was super refreshing. I can totally agree with that.
CTF has to be top 5 game modes. Caters to every COD playstyle; want to camp? Defend the flag. Want to rush? Grab the flag. Want to just get kills? Respawn timer allows for kills to be very beneficial for your team.

DZ was heaven for clips because people grouped up, it was focussing on great parts of a map, killstreaks were barely a problem and you could stretch out good lobbies by ignoring the DZ itself - it wasn't rare to see 6v6 sniping lobbies where the match would end at like a 1400/7400 score lmao - Im loving the channel btw!

Fracture, Headquarters, Demolition and Hardpoint are my favorite game modes. I’m glad the others placed high, but I was sad to see demolition so low lol

@@dillybar8546 I have a specific traumatic memory of getting insta spawn killed on Havana in BO1. It haunts me to this day.
@@BT0WN lol my favorite memory is actually from BO2. My team was horribly spawn trapped in the first round on Nuketown, and finally I broke it and we eventually won the round. Then we spawn trapped them when they were on offense lol

Missed the GOAT party game mode, slasher from Cod4 remaster. Basically Michael Myers, where you have one “Slasher” with a knife, and all the survivors have a 1911 with 8 rounds of ammo that shoot bullets that slow down the slasher for a few seconds. Everyone sparingly using their ammo to stop the slasher from hitting the strafe jumps to get on their glitch spots, and one most maps there’s an easy jump and a few more difficult ones that maybe 5/18 people in a lobby know how to get to

I was the scumbag playing MITD for moabs. Just play for specialist bonus then grab the jug suit and now you’re a super speed juggernaut with a deagle. Great times.

So as someone that LOVED those sniper lobbies back in MW3 where Dropzone originated. It was basically the ONLY game mode that had 1 point on the whole map for people to go to. And because people wanted free streaks there were always people on the point which made for more clips and in different spots. Plus Dropzone games generally were pretty long as well so getting 60+ kills a game was fairly easy. No that there is Hardpoint that has mostly taken over the spot that Dropzone has purely that there are generally less streaks called in as they aren't given for free from the sky.

WaW war was so good, snipers claimed that mode too lol. I believe it's to do with the mode's OBJ placements and spawns, easier to get opportunities going for sniper clips on both War and Drop Zone.

Some of my favourite modes are the no respawn modes, they remi d me of America's army. I wish the servers for AA:PG were still up

It's interesting you mention the hostage mode from Counter Strike. I was more thinking of Rainbow Six Siege.
LMAO I mean, that's another great example. It all goes back to Counter-Strike... But at least Siege added the destruction to make it more their own.
@@BT0WN Plus in Siege, you can scale the building the map is centered on. Lots of ways to go up and down.

I also love cyber attack but me and my buddy used to play scummy on it to get reactions. Noob tubes claymores and rocket launchers. Since the enemy bomb is in your spawn you just set up shop and let the angry reacts happen 😭😂

The one life game modes are the best. S&D, Cyber attack, knockout, Prisoner rescue and Cut-throat are my favorites. It takes more strategy when you only have one chance

I think TDM at the bottom is too harsh. I agree with you that it can be pretty boring (especially if everyone camps), but I still prefer it over like half the game modes on this list lol. Probably the most overrated game mode though.
It might me pretty harsh, yeah. I think my dislike for TDM comes from a place of love for older CODs. I wish more playlists were active on the classic games

FFA is always my go-to gamemode. The only thing I really hate about it is how people insist that the lobby you’re in is a sniper lobby. I’m just trying to level up my SMG, I don’t feel like sniping!

@@BT0WN Yeah, the sniper lobby mentality has reached maximum with older CoDs, particularly BO2. I still go back to play BO2 occasionally on my 360 and everytime I find people bitching about me not using a sniper or trickshotting for last. I find it funny more than anything.
@@UnchainedPandoran FFA trickshotting was GOATed. I have a disgusting amount of time playing and hitting shots on Bo2 FFA. Us trickshotters claimed Bo2 and MW2 FFA for years, it was our place where we could hit online shots if we didn't feel like playing SnD or not enough people were online for a 6man or if we just wanted multiple attempts from spots where you would be lucky to get 1 per game on SnD. Ngl I'm guilty of bullying kids for not trickshotting last lmfao. It still annoys me that I can barely do it on modern Cods cause of SBMM, never get good leads or if I do I just get shot off the trickshot spots by the randoms. I miss when FFA was run by trickshotters so we could peacefully spin in circles.

as someone who doesn’t really like to play respawn, i still respect your choices. SnD will always be my #1, & tbh i prefer hardpoint over dom, but they’re the three best game modes imo

team deathmatch is the most boring mode so slow. People always say "I just wanna kill things" and go into a mode that's slowest for killing. Play domination on shipment and see how much more action there is vs tdm on shipment

Honestly TDM on bottom i can get behind except for one mode: Kill Confirmed. I am the number 1 kill confirmed hater. Tdm but worse and half the players dont even collect the tags.
On the other hand i am the number 1 Control LOVER. perfect balance between aggressive objective, with limited lives so there are stakes to your plays.
Also i like cyber attack i think is what its called, where both teams can pick up and the bomb and attack the objective. I actually like the revive function especially when playing with friends, it adds some tension to a match when there are few players left and they start reviving

I used to exclusively play team deathmatch, but once I discovered kill confirmed and hardpoint I could never go back again. Way too slow paced.
I feel like TDM is an invaluable place to learn but eventually people graduate into more complex, rewarding modes.
In my personal opinion Cod ghosts ranked mode hit different was my last favorite cod for ranked play

Haven’t finished the video yet l, but 100 percent agree that TDM is the worst game mode of all time. It is so frustrating how whenever I play an old cod i have to play that trash game mode since the population is low and everyone defaults to it for some reason.
That fact right there amplifies my dislike of TDM so much. I love going back to older COD games but it basically means playing TDM all the time and I hate it so much. Lol

@@BT0WN I can appreciate that, just for me I always like to learn how the maps flow on tdm before I even play anything else because for whatever reason tdm is my strongest mode. I’ve been playing cod exclusively on pc so that may be why because a lot of the time that’s all I could get a match on 😂
