I have never heard steve perry hit a bad note.
It's never happened, that's why 😊.
Because he could actually sing…not like these talentless clowns “singing” these days.
I don't know how many thousands of "wrong notes" I've heard Steve Perry hit, only to realize I was wrong. 😂 It might be anyone else in the band that's slightly out of tune ... it won't be Steve Perry. Real talk.
This guy is on another level with vocals. Saw this live, tears just ran,I wasn’t sad- it was the beauty in his voice.❤️🎶❤️
Two words for this performance ............ 'Masterpiece!!' & "Perfection!!'
Arguably the greatest live rock vocal performance. Great reaction, man.
His voice at the end sound like a angel, and he did his version of mic drop 😎
One of THE best voices in rock history. I have this concert dvd in my collection it was one hell of a show
Thank you for recognizing a Truly UNMATCHED VOCALIST…Bringing me back to such a INCREDIBLE ERA of RockBandsBreakingOut! I’ve seen over 200 Concerts..very few twice,Steve/Journey 6X ! First time hearing his VOICE in 1977…his VOICE was idk otherworldly! Not sure many realize Steve is now considered a “haute contre” (natural male Alto, A rare form of Countertenor and one of the RAREST Vocal Types) plus his own creative gift creating his OneOfAKind VOICE…IF that’s not enough Steve is also considered a Classical Operatic Vocaliist..originating outside all three common sources of High-Performance Vocalist (Classical/Operatic,Musical Theater, and Gospel) EXTREMELY RARE…sadly the 20thCentury Music Industry were Illiterate to Classical Operatic Alto Countertenor! Sooo illiterate they had no idea how to CLASSIFY him….denied Steve the Recognition, acknowledgment,RESPECT he deserve(s). A Quote: “Steve..did not have a VOICE, he had a MIRACLE” unmatched even by (no disrespect RIP LEGEND) FreddieM and FAILED by the Music Industry to manage it and the singer it belonged to. No denying his Legendary Historical Legacy continues on by his fans(who knew),general public, and experts. Osaka 1980 is a must…sooo many hidden DIAMONDS.
@D Turner EXACTLY! Couldn’t have said it better…. Seeing the RStones once was good enough for me. Not denying that they had some (screaming) terrific hits…just not the “WHOA HOLD-UP WHO IS THAT” unique vocals of Steve Perry..who still has not received the recognition he deserves.
I'm speechless at that performance.
This particular song live, really showcased Journey’s talent.
This is perfection. And the moods of the song fit the moods of the lyrics. Up and down. Sad and hopeful. The workings of a family in crisis and a lone member pleading for the family to come together and heal. So good.
This was Steve’s personal story about his life.
I am a Journey FANATIC, and this is truly one of the greatest songs they ever wrote! Masterpiece does not do it justice! Majestic. Powerful. Amazing. Journey's best song EVER!
I saw Journey supporting Escape...this song is on that album. All I can say is that that band will always be underrated, they were SO GOOD live.
This song always makes mr tear up. Thanks for your appreciation for music✌️
I like how they go into a guitar solo after the second verse rather than the chorus. The arrangement of the song is pure genius. 1st verse, bridge, chorus. 2nd verse, guitar solo, 3rd verse, bridge, chorus, guitar solo, chorus, take it to church!!!!
Neal has said those strange arrangements were Steve's idea.
When he put the chorus of Don't Stop Believin' at the very end of the song, and Neal asked why, he said. "to make them wait for it."
It built up a tension and release.
Genius.
Still they ride... live in tokyo. Open Arms, from this concert, anything from this concert lol...
Steve Perry. Holy cow he can blow!
Good on you for doing the whole tour, Journey is a journey, not a single song experience.
This is one of my all time fave songs, Steve Perry's voice is like silk, awesome guitar and piano solo too. Another awesome one is called After the fall and check out the MV. Neal is the lead guitarist. 😎🎵🎤👌
Love Steve Perry! And Love the Musicians!!!
Steve Perry is one of the greatest singers ever born.
Escape was Perry's vocal pinnacle.
Fantabulous performance
I went to this tour, in Seattle. Best concert of my life! AndI have been to a lot!
The goat
He is the best I'll definitely give him that , the song they tear it up, Neil is on fire with that guitar playing, and Steve puts every ounce of emotion in this song, and Jonathan's piano solo oh my God they all are rock gods, they are all magical one of their best.
One of my favorite songs
Excellent!!! ☮️❤️😎
So good to see you react to this song. It's different but really good talent All of them!!💥
Saw them on their Frontiers tour. My first concert ever. Incredible!
Jonathan Cain was with the Baby's while on tour with Journey! I saw it all! John Waite was the lead singer of the Baby's and he went out as a solo. Greg Rollie was the piano player and singer of Journey, It all just fell into place. Watch Wheel in the Sky.
ANY WAY YOU WANT IT-JOURNEY💖
Amazing voice !!
Awesumm video!! I appreciate how dug in to the song you went.. Coming from a gentle brother of color, from whence we get the GREATEST of American soul, music, depth of the human emotional experience,.not usually found coming from us starchy white folk!!
true story of Steve's growing up life...gorgeous performance and so heartfelt. Perfection from all musicians
love hows Neil's guitar solo sounds like crying to me
Actually not based on Steve’s life - Neil’s.
@@tracycagliero129 Both of theirs. And it's Neal.
Listen to journey
Still they ride live in Osaka Japan 1983 its fire 🔥 😊
Thank you for making my Saturday night even better! Great reaction ❤
You are welcome
I Love this song. Low Key Fav that you just don't hear much if ever.
Thanks for the reaction Bro. These guys were hitting on all cylinders on high octane gas at this time.
The Beatles' SHE'S LEAVING HOME was their model for this song, and is still unequalled.
Inspired to sing from his Mom and Sam Cooke
Not sure anybody said this already but he consider this to be the hardest to sing!!
Didnt noticed.....
Hej från Sverige
Another good one with a total different sound is Sweet and Simple
The guitarist is Neil Schon. He is one of the truly greatest guitarist. He’s on par with Eddie Van Halen. The band is still performing with another singer from a tribute band. He’s not bad, but he’s not Steve Perry.
Steve has the title of “the voice” because he is recognized as the greatest voice in rock history. He’s still singing as a solo artist and collaborator for other artists and bands.
Please do girl can't help it
Top notch
OPEN ARMS-JOURNEY👌
I did it already
@@watchbizmatik StevePerry-StrungOut-StreetTalk1984 👍👍👍
Perfection
If I remember correctly, Steve Perry remastered this DVD/CD not too long ago. I think he's largely responsible for the "equal sharing" of air time among the band members.
Neil schon. Guitarist. Used to play with santana
Listen to winds of March. Bud..
Told ya!🎉
Steve Perry the best Malé voice ever no doubt about MR STEVE PERRY
Journey Live in Houston 1981 Lead Singer Steve Perry you will love " Stone in Love " Or " Girl Can't Help it ".
Top notch band !
If you're someone like myself that loves to hear great harmonies then give this band from 1972 a listen "Stuck In The Middle With You - Steelers Wheel"
Hey Biz.
Wussup
Any he recorded this in one take.
Sam Cooke reincarnate.
Sorry wrong song
