- WA8KIM.com A short video demonstration of the Yaesu DR-1X repeater, SCOM 7330 controller, and CAT WX-250 weather alert radio with mixed analog and digital modes using a modified version of Justin Reed NV8Q's script.

After watching the video, I realized that I should have zoomed in to the DR-1X & SCOM 7330 in landscape mode. Also, there is a lot of background noise, which is a combination of the DR-1X's cooling fan and my solar chargers & inverter. Sorry.
I also misspoke: I identified the SS-64 Tone Encoder as being made by Connect Systems (I own a couple controllers by them), but the SS-64 is made by Communications Specialists.
Very good, thanks

Nice setup!
Good information. Thanks.
How to keep it in Analog only for tx and rx.
We keep hoping for a way to output the voltage via "fred" when we touch tone a code into our 7330s. Scom says "oh, thanks for asking, helps us know what the customers want" and has been promising for a while.
how do you load your Script on the scom7330?
I use Tera Term via a USB-to-Serial adapter.
As always... Ham Radio wouldn't be complete unless the WX was there...
I guess it beats those that talk about Geritol and Prostrate issues. >K7KTR
Keith Rodgers most repeaters need something using them. Most are very underused.
if your nv8q your not available for a chat with the local cops
I'm not sure I'm understanding your comment, but I'm upgrading my repeater's PC, therefore my WiRES-X, EchoLink, etc. are offline but will be back up by weekend's end.
William Kim Sherman I think he meant he looked up a nv call and your video came up so he thought you were him
