You sir are the FIRST guitarist to do justice to the nuances and greatness that is Hugh McCracken's playing style. Hey19 has some of the most delicate shading and ghosting of any song I've ever heard. Most players butcher it; but you sir have the soft handed touch required for this song. Bravo!
Lawson80 That is probably the best compliment I've received on these videos, thank you! I appreciate your consideration of the details and subtleties of Hugh's tasteful playing and deft touch and the work it took to try and honor it. Made my day. Greetings from Nashville.
You play so effortlessly and I very much enjoy watching you play even though I don't know how to play guitar. I'm smiling the whole time I'm watching your video!
Duude this is unbelievable. I've just been learning the basic chords under this but damn.. now I have to follow this?? So spot on, the touch and everything. I got my work cut out for the next few weeks lol. WELL DONE.
Thank you. I played this song years ago and had forgotten a lot of it. I like the way you didn't talk or waste time. I can hear it and see it. The only way you could have made this easier is to post the tabs and chords. Thanks.
Flawless. And you make it look so easy. I been putting you on slo-mo, so I can try to follow. Not real familiar with jazzy chords, but I'm gettin there. Thanks for the encouraging words too.
@@michaelgregory2231 Well I've been working on it for hours, it's not easy for me with all the subtleties with the sixths and whatnot, but it sure is satisfying when I can get through a couple more bars consistently! Thank you so much! I've checked out a lot of your stuff since finding this and I think I can become a better player learning from you:)
Hey Michael! hope you are doing fine! I just want to thank you because I have just learned this tune by listening to your video. It has been uploaded in my UA-cam channel, by the way. Your play is so smooth. Amazing. I loved your Rosanna cover too. Nice Strat! Greetings from Argentina!!!
Hey Mike! Back again for another look and listen to how well you play this with such ease. Still hoping to see one day that you've done a video on Donald's Walk between the Raindrops not to mention Wes' amazing chops on The Big Hurt; here's hoping. Regardless, Thanks again for all your videos. They're really appreciated.

Very kind words, thank you! I've received more responses from this video than all the many others I've done. Also received more transcription requests too. I usually charge for tabs/teaching videos, but I may do a freebie on this one if time permits.
Hey Mike! Back yet again to watch both this vid and the accompanying one to this where you break down this song and explain its tonal centers. Still hoping one day (3rd time's the charm?) that maybe you'll do a vid on walk between the raindrops. Regardless, really love and appreciate your lessons.
I rarely sign in on YT, never mind make a public comment. But...I hardly know where to start in expressing my admiration for your musicianship, good taste ( i.e. it chimes with mine) and cheerful demeanour. I think I came for Lowdown.. your Do It Again is wonderful, ditto Midnight at the Oasis, Third Rate Romance, The Goodbye Look ( only six views, three of which are me ???) , too many to mention. As for Hey 19, my singer friend has long wanted to do this - beyond my abilities to figure out exactly what you are playing, but I might ask a guitar tutor to do so for me. Greetings and thanks from Liverpool; I live between Penny Lane and Strawberry Field.

This is great! But I have a question: it sounds to me like during the verses, the keyboard is playing something other than just an A7 chord, can you figure out what it is?
