    I love that you effortlessly weave mundane and magical constantly. How it should be, really. But I also learn skills for both when I watch too. Like the kitchen scissors. Thanks for sharing. All of it. :) ✨

    It's great to see a focus on health rather than a focus on diets or fads. Losing weight should always be about lifestyles and improving life quality, not about numbers. Great video with lots of useful information. Thank you!

    I love your videos! They are so calming to watch so i watch them on my downtime before bed but ive gotten more in touch with my inner witch since then. I really wanna say thank you because ive learned alot from them n its really comforting to know theres more people out there like me as far as good intentions n open about what we believe in n being at peace with your inner self instead of worrying about what other people think. Anyone can say it but its nice to see people mean it n do it as well, if that makes sense. You have a really good energy n im glad your hear to help. Thank you!

      Yay! So nice to share and swap encouraging stories. I commented to Bex on her initial video about her weight loss journey that I too, will be working on losing pounds and getting rid of my "Winnie Pooh" body. If you ladies like bananas, try slicing them and sauteeing them in a dab of coconut oil with stevia. The oil and stevia will carmelize and it is delicious with regular yogurt or over a scoop of frozen vanilla yogurt in the evening.

    • @Thewitchescookery
      @Thewitchescookery  3 роки тому +1

      Yaih for the 5 down 💪💪💪 and the rest will come up in no time for sure! And that sauteed banana recipe is grrreat for when the sugar cravings kick in - I can't stand Stevia (it tastes weird to me) but I will use birch sugar or maybe a tiiiiiiny bit of honey 💚 thanks for the tip!

      Ahah I am glad to read that! I sure do love them to prepare food(the scissors) - soooo much easier. However, I do come from a culture, where the old generation will eat EXCLUSIVELY with a knife - they don't have forks or spoons. • @Thewitchescookery
      @Thewitchescookery  3 роки тому +1

      Hehe thank you - most of the times he is 😂 and yaih, we can shed the kgs together! I think your best bet to find quark or similar is to go to any Eastern European store (if you have any in your area) or buy Skyr at the supermarket (the Scandinavian version). It is also fairly easy to make yourself by mixing 1l milk and 50ml buttermilk or lemon juice and let it sit outside for a day until it gets thick and then filtering it through a cheese cloth.

      💚 I am so glad you like my content! So the breakfast / snack was 1 banana mixed with 200g of low-fat quark (it is kind of like a cream cheese but not. It is healthier than yoghurt, higher in proteins and lower in fat and very creamy). Then I added some cinnamon and for my portion I added in a tiny bit of honey. And if you blend it or mash it until you have a smooth creame it is sooooo delicious and healthy

      It is soooo good, regardless of weight loss goals! This is how I used to eat before being unhappy with my weight 😄 I need to pin a comment, explaining what quark is. I wasn't aware, it is not well-known in the states 🙈 it has way less calories or fat than Greek yoghurt but is creamier in consistency and is higher in protein. You can probably get it at Eastern European shops, Jewish shops or maybe you guys have Skyr (the Scandinavian version of quark) in supermarkets or health care store 😄 and thank you for your kind words 💚

    You have the most adorable troll.
    This was a nice video. Very helpful to see and learn from others.
    I'm down 4lbs since the 1st so averaging about a lb a week.
    I start my day with room temp lemon water.
    Then some coffee. At first I was drinking black coffee but then I was like... I have to live. So now a small bit of cream and sugar to make my shadow happy.😂
    I'm trying to stay around 1200 to 1400 calories. I'm using a free app called fat secret. It's easy.
    I am taking small changes to have better habits. I don't need mayonnaise on my sandwich. I don't need to add oil to food when cooking ( just add some water to saute those onion and veggies. Cut down on the cheese because wow it has a ton of calories.
    If your not going to pee often you aren't drinking enough water.
    Drink water 30 minutes before a meal. Try not to drink during one and then drink water 30 minutes after. This helps your food to get broken down by your stomach acid. When we get older the stomach acid decreases and it's not good. So it important to get in some fermented foods.
    Stock up on calorie free foods. Be a rabbit 🤣

I see kitchen scissors a lot and we have th here but I haven’t purchased any yet lol. I do want the heavy duty bone ones buahaha lol. .... I definitely love that as you handle the food you connect with. When I bring groceries home (especially when I had a kitchen 🤪) I actually did a gratitude blessing and call for forgiveness and release before putting them away. ... oMGoddess 😂😂😂 the little troll in his burrow! Seriously Bex! Your sense of humour cannot be matched and is just a gift of pure joy 😃🤗🙏🏽. Bad girl! W saw you tease poor Pepper lol! One of my favourite breakfast or snacks totally taste like a dessert but isn’t lol! ... oh! I almost forgot! I actually do the same with chopsticks lol! ... and I totally resonate with the Japanese explanation!! My mouth is lonely... Granted... wait... lets keep these comments PG 🤣🤣🤣! I love that your plan is authentic! And totally agree! I lost most weight by honouring cravings but watching portions, not calories, and selecting to cook the healthy things I do like, never forcing myself to follow a meal/diet plan filled with things that make me gag 🤣. Will you do anything like this?!

      heheh heeeeere it is! It wasn't deleted. This is actually another video you inspired me to do as you mentioned `what I eat in a days' :D Quark is similar to cream cheese, just much lower in fat and higher in protein. You can make it yourself by making milk go sour with a lemon. it is super healthy and yummy (even though it doesn't sound like it would be ghahaha). Haha I love that idea with the placebo taste - I need that for a lot of my favourite foods too please. The kitchen scissors where a true revelation to me ( I mrean we have them too but nobody uses them the way the Spanish do). What's your favourite breakfast / snack that tasts like a dessert??? :D hahaha naught you for that lonely mouth joke xD Definately agreeing with you on the diet plan - for me calorie counting works best for the first few weeks so I get a feeling for portions again (as I somewhat lost it during quarantine) but definitly eating eeeeeverything I want hehe much, much love from me and baby boy 💖💖💖💖

    I have been really enjoying your videos but I have to disagree about the scissors. If you have good knives and good knife skills it is far far faster/easier than using scissors.
    I still have nightmares from when I was convinced to try using scissors to cut pizza.

      @Thewitchescookery  3 роки тому

      Thanks so much! Absolutely agree on the pizza hehe like why would you want to lift up a hot pizza? Just use a pizza cutter / knife and fork 😄 but I am still very much in love with it when it comes to cutting poultry - mainly because it means I don't have to clean a cutting board 😬

    At first I thought you said you mixed your bananas with pork, and I was like 😦😦🤢! 😆
    You’re doing so well! The mindful eating thing is important and something I do not do often enough. I eat super fast as well because I like my food to be “burn your face off” hot.
    Fellow decaf drinker here as well. I get the shakes if I have caffeine and the only way I can get rid of it is to eat more food. It’s just not worth it. The smell and taste of coffee alone is enough to wake me up, so I don’t need caffeine. ❤️

    • @Thewitchescookery

      Ahahah omg, I think I threw up in my mouth a little 😂 so no! No pork, only German cream cheese hehe
      Saaaame with the gobbling it down super hot while doing all kinds of weird sushinghushinhandventilation noises with my mouth 🙈
      And maaaaan, I wish eating food would help my caffeine induced shivers but it doesn't. My body just seems to be extremely sensitive to any kind of slightly reaction-altering substance intake, unfortunately. But yeeeees, the smell of coffee is Everything!!!!

    So funny you're little "troll". He's such a sweetie! Often our bodies seem "fat" and carry extra weight when a lot of it is due to foods that are highly inflammatory.... wheat, dairy, refined sugar, processed foods etc. when we cut these out we lose weight pretty quick not because of calories but because our bodies calm down and let go of fat (which protects us from the chemicals) excess water and inflamation goes down. The herbs and intention in your cooking amplifies the body's healing. Great video!

Back when I was super fit an working out properly, my diet was on spot. But now I value food I enjoy (hello, dairy 😄) over food I know it's good for me 😬 also, right now I am not overweight due to what I eat but how much I eat hihi
