Yes! A bike for the people! (not sure what the 12spd GRX costs, but ok :)) I don't know what to think of all the handlebar accessories. It should bring extra comfort, but I can also imagine being annoyed about it if it's not placed correctly. Together with the handlebar itself, you do have a lot of hand positions to work with.
I’m currently building up a very similar bike! But I went with shimano 105, I know it’s not gravel spec, but it’s the identical spec to my road bike, so my thinking is I have spares! plus I don’t do the type of gravel riding Nick does.. that’s more mountain biking on the wrong bike lol
Hi 👋🏽 It looks quite easy and straightforward the way you're doing it 😮 I've been struggling for hours with my 1x12 GRX with a 10-51T cassette 😭 I cannot manage to index the derailleur. It won't shift enough on each cog so shifting is all wrong. Do you have any useful tips by any chance ?
Hey love ur content mate!!! Question, I have full Ultegra 12sp groupset and love the performance but hate the look of the crank. The 8200 GRX crank I love the look of… do u know whether it would b compatible, and if so whether I could still use my Ultegra BB? Thx in advance Jon🇨🇦
Oh, how nice! Alloy, cables.... The whole plastic bikes with shifting components that you need to register online was becoming quite boring, honestly. Got the same frame, but I insisted on an alloy fork for mine.
How wide are the RedShift bars on the top? I can't find any info on how wide their are on the tops, IIRC the width they have on their site is the width of the entire thing (basically the drops cuz of the flare)
Number of links is not needed, as it is specific to that frame size and gearing (we don’t know if it has a 42t or 40t chainring). The trick is to put the chain in the largest sprocket and chainring (not through the RD) and then overlap the chain by 2 complete link pairs. Cut the chain at that point. That is how the mechanic does it in the video.
Same, wish they sold the lower tier models in just frameset. I'd gladly buy the Speedster Gravel AL for commuting in just a frameset so I can move all previous my commuter bike's parts to it.
It's so great to see a _non-carbon, mechanical shifting_ bike being featured again.
I've missed these, first one you've done in the new shop nice choice of music too.
Nice. Looks like the workshop has had a makeover.
OMG, what a bike! 😮
My dream set up
There is one thing for sure, he won’t be cheap. Great video thanks.
Great to see you guys back filming builds

Very nice! Needs a ride review.
Dose of Zen complete. Nice build.
He's baaaaaaack!
Need more info on the Handlebar, Bar-End, Handlebar Bag set up! That is a well thought out sweet set up! Well done guys!
Nice looking machine- i like the handlebars! 🤘🏼
A Sunday afternoon rubbing ones knees while an expert producing a thing of beauty 😍
Dream bike!

💯😎Awesome build 😎💯
Seatpost seems the dual position one. I guess to change it when in the extensions from the handlebars?
That handlebar setup... very interesting. I like it but is it too far focused towards the offroad side of things?
Should have kept that jersey on Nic! 🇿🇦

I have been thinking about making this same bike for months, but with s-works sl7 frame + 24spd AXS etap, and no redshift
Thanks Nic and Jimmi ....full english ? And , how did Nic like the bar and stem ? Looks amazing !!
Maybe just me, but I've never seen someone install the frame up into the seatpost like that before

Yea but u *may* need grx FD. My 105 Di2 FD actually works with the GRX cranks but that’ll be frame dependent

Nah, this is a bike! 😀👍
Nice build. Background music, at beginning, reminiscent of ‘freedom’ George Michael - appropriate choice
What is the weight of the finished bike? 😃
inspired by the channel fernwee? :)
Does Redshift say what the weight limit on their gear is?
No redshift suspension stem. So sad.
Doesn't fit on a Scott. :(
Thanks to the integrated cockpit system it’s missing the key component…the Redshift stem

Hi, i would like to know how long the chain you use on this build how many link there is? thank you in advance cheers! 😊

Noice
Why don’t you cut zip ties flush?
I wish Scott would sell framesets... 😒

As the time passes by those bikes gets more and more ugly.
Disagree, My Scott Speedster is the Shiznit!!!!
