Schon ganz cool aber in ein paar Details hätte ich es anders gemacht:
- Gabelschaft ist arg gekürzt, Expander wird mit montierten Vorbau reingeprügelt und dann die obere Schraube vom Vorbau zu erst auf Drehmoment gezogen. Oo
- Die Zughüllen werden mit einer einfachen Zange geschnitten. Besser wäre eine Zange für Hüllen zu verwenden, gerade bei so empfindlichen 12fach Zugverhältnissen.
- Drehmoment wird gerne mehrfach nachgezogen, gerade beim Tretlager noch mal ordentlich nachdem der Schlüssel ausgelöst hat. Das sollte man nun wirklich nicht machen, das Drehmoment ist damit überzogen. Mag bei 40nm nicht so wild sein, aber am Vorbau zieht der Kollege die Schraube nach dem Auslösen ebenfalls nach! (Achtung, es sehen sich Leute die Videos an und machen es vielleicht euch nach.)
- Es ist einfacher zu erst die Hydraulik Leitung im STI zu verschrauben und dann die STI auszurichten. Die steife Hydraulikleitung kann sonst manchmal schwer bis zum Ende eingeführt werden, wird dann falsch montiert und damit undicht sein.
Gerade der Expander - Gänsehaut pur :D
Ein schöner Film, und schön zu sehen, wie alle Komponenten ein passgenaues Ganzes ergeben.
Habe mich sehr über die kleinen Details wie Lagersitze planen, Bremsleitung anschließen und Griffe ausrichten gefreut. Jeder der selbst mal ein Bike aufgebaut hat weiß, dass hier die fummelige Arbeit drin steckt ;-)
Sogar die Farbe der Montageschmiere passt zum Bike :-P

Excellent that you re-thread and faced the BB bracket. I had much problem with premature BB wear because my steel frame was not re-threaded when first assembling.
Incredibly well shot and meticulously well assembled bicycle by a technician that clearly understands the devil is in the details. I'm a shop veteran with decades of experience and I find it so hard to watch assembly videos without being unreasonably critical, this was beautiful to watch, I wish more creators/builders would pay this much attention to best practice. Two very very tiny critiques; Torque wrench accuracy is slightly dependent on the position of your hand. For me personally it always manifests on the smaller wrenches. Shimano has new guidance on chain length calculations that are not very different, just more specific, than your/our old method. News to me as of a couple days ago, color me unaware.

Sehr schöner Aufbau. Das einzige Aua ist der verwendete "Adapter" des Konusaufschlägers. Aber TOP Rad und darauf kommts an.

You can do it! There are suppliers who offer smaller chainrings.

Kleine Frage in Eigensache: Ich fahre ein iconX Ti von euch mit Hope 20five Pro 5 LRS, aktuell noch mit 2x11 GRX 810.
Welchen Freilauf bräuchte ich für die 1x12-fach Gruppe bei 10/45 oder 10/51 falls ich doch mal umrüsten will? Ich bin mir nicht sicher ob X12 oder 12x135 🤔
Warum umrüsten? Schneller wird man damit sicher nicht
@@jonasmeiner5007 Es geht nicht um's schneller werden, sondern um die einfachere/ bessere Übersetzung. Bei Bikepacking mit bis zu 15kg Zusatzgewicht macht das einiges aus. Die neue Gruppe hat einen Range von 510% im Vergleich zu den maximalen 455% der GRX810 mit Cage von Garbaruk und SunRace Kassette. Für mich heißt das hoher Klettergang & hohe Endgeschwindigkeit bei akzeptabler Trittfrequenz und Kettenlinie.

Natürlich werden all unsere Rahmensets an allen Lagersitzen und Bremsaufnahmen gefräst, so dass Ihr sofort mit dem Aufbau beginnen könnt :)

@@veloheld Aha. In "Bianchi celeste grün" und mit Campas. Ekar wäre es perfekt ;-) Verbaut ihr bei den Gravel-Rädern auch Columbus-Rohr? Und wo werden die Rahmen gebaut?
@@CarstenFriedrichBandt Ja, das Rad gibt es auch mit Campa, da wir alles individualisieren können. Hier wurde das Rad aber extra für die Einführung der neuen GRX 1x12 fach gebaut. Und momentan werden die Rahmen noch in Taiwan gebaut. Aber wir sind gerade dabei unseren lokalen Rahmenbau auszubauen, so dass es womöglich auch bald dieses Rad mit Columbus Rohren "Made in Germany" geben wird. Viele Grüße und schöne Weihnachten!

Wie schwierig/aufwändig ist es, bei einem IconX nachträglich Kabel für Front- und (besonders) Rückleuchte zu verlegen? Spiele mit dem Gedanken mir das IconX (mit Stahlgabel und GRX 1x12) zu holen und würde in ein paar Monaten/Jahren gerne autarke Dynamo-Beleuchtung für eine lange Radreise nachrüsten.
Ist das einfach so möglich oder muss ich dafür die ganzen Schalt/Bremszüge erst „aus dem Weg räumen“?
Hello… das kommt ein wenig darauf an, wie sehr du die Leitungen "verstecken" willst. Am "saubersten" wird es natürlich innen im Rahmen und Gabel zu verlegen. D.h. das ist ein wenig aufwendig, aber machbar die Kabel da durch den Rahmen bzw. Gabel zu bekommen. Hinten müsstest du dann mal schauen, wo die Rückleuchte angebracht werden soll. Schau gern mal in unserer Galerie auf der Website, da siehst einige Räder mit Beleuchtung und kannst sicher auch die Verlegung sehen. Gern kannst Du uns auch mal direkt kontaktieren und wir helfen dir, zur gewünschten Beleuchtung.

It’s not a customers bike and so it is much easier when the bike is in the showroom…
Tubeless isn’t all that. My gravel is but it’s out 5 days a week. My mtb is tubes because it sits for weeks at a time. The tools in a ride are the same either way.
@@Cous1nJack I have had countless flats with tubes over the years. I’ve had one flat in 3 years tubeless, and that was a freak giant puncture from a sharp rock mountain biking. Never have flatted on my gravel bikes or commuter bikes since going tubeless. Used to get pinch flat’s frequently trying to run a little lower pressures- to me tubeless is all that.
I won't go to a mechanic who stack canned pineapple in their shop

Sadly 3x drivetrains are dying. I wish someone brings back the 3x group set. They are far superior compared to these unreliable systems. Like just think about it the places these drivetrains are used are budget bikes extreme low end and they are treated horribly. No servicing nothing yet they work no issues for a very long time more longer than most of these 1x drivetrains. They also have an incredible range which 1x and 2x can only dream about. And most of all it's best for uphill climbs wrong gear? Np just down shift the crank gear.
This group comes in 2x12 too - that’s as many gears as 3x8.
I agree 1x maybe not have the range - but it depends where it’s being ridden.
I worked in the Netherlands and fitted many 12-21 cassettes to 2x9 road bikes.
But now I live in the Pacific Northwest and all we use here is 11-34.

@@workshopninjathe1st even 2 by systems have same issues actually same as 1x cause the derailleur that comes with these have a capacity not more than 42 meanwhile the lower end Acera, tourney, altus can accommodate 46. 2x cranks are usually 26T-36T with 10T difference. 3 by gets you 22-32-42T pair that with 11-36T you get best climbing ability and incredible speed. The above 2x can be paired only with 11-42T cause derailleur won't handle anymore than that. Also these groupsets are ridiculously costly it needs the best maintenance else the chain or the casset gets worn out quickly due to tight tolerances my Hard tail which runs deore 10 speed is suffering from this issue which prompts me to not use it anymore.
Wasn't dreambuild a thing for top tier cool looking bikes? Not something like this 😅
I guess it depends on whose bike it is. Still a great build in my opinion
