I heard the line as "this pervert was fiddling around with some 'cysty' pigs...". Although he said "Herbert" and not "pervert", I was pretty dismayed to discover that I hadn't misheard the remainder of that line. Now I NEED to get this game.
I cried when I discovered this, the dad was expecting to die, waiting for the mother to awake, then you read Herbert’s side and get “When my father unplugged [whatever] and cried” and got was that awful. Then they had to twist the knife even further with “Guess the robot with the white hat is my father now”...
You know it's not real right? Lol

Oh, I feel for you.. this is why I like their games. These are like well written sci-fi shorts. Tragic and horrible. But it makes you feel and imagine a world other than your own

I remember this one. I snuck in, shut down his robots and pick pocketed his shit off him and hit the elevator back up. They were none the wiser. And I now know what happened there thanks to this lore video. 😎

I totally thought of Oxhorn when I found this on my second playthrough, in no small part because I missed it the first time. It's easy to do.

Just finished this game last night and immediately I was thinking that I need to check out Ox's channel and see all the lore and hidden crap I missed...and lo and behold his first lore video is something I completely missed! Well done!

The hard thing about both of us simultaneously playing this for the first time is it's hard to avoid spoilers. . . fortunately, I stopped in time the first time, found Howard on my own, then came back and watched it.
I killed Howard, but out of ignorance and self defense, but I still felt bad about it afterward.
I really love this game, and can't wait for a series on it! I also really hope Obsidian makes more of the same quality in the future!

Oxhorn's first Lore video for The Outer Worlds and already he's found a location I completely missed on my first playthrough. I just come and go from the city and never took a closer look at the bridge itself.

@Oxhorn has anyone ever told you, when you narrate lore videos, that you sound identical to Gale Boetticher from Breaking Bad? I love your videos. As a kid who grew up playing Fallout 1 as my first computer game (not my first video game lol) I’ve always loved the lore. You make me wish I could do shit like this with my life. But for a 30 year old it’s tough to get time to do so, or not be called an “idiot to think you can do that” 😥 but I’d love to *sigh*. Anyhow keep up the great work! Always making quality content that never flops or flounders!

I was the on story quest where the gunship falls out the sky and I thought that MSI and the Iconoclast were going to send forces to it to salvage it so I tried to beat them there by cutting across the bridge and I ran pass that elevator to get to the ship. Normally you have to have 100 lockpick or 100 hack to get across but I had the login for the terminal because I did the unmarked quest for Zora of the Iconoclast.

I hope he comes back to this game and continues explaining the lore. I’ve recently just started playing it and while I do get Fallout vibes, I feel it has way more room for exploration the fallout when it comes to its world and lore.

I don't know why I was worried about this game. I'm glad that there's this kind of tricky lore in Outer Worlds that you can piece together into these little story snippets. I'm watching your play-through now, and the weird lack of scattered lore / books / notes / etc was starting to worry me about the lack of world-building in this game. Thank you for proving me wrong!
All this game is missing is a 3rd person camera anyways keep making Lore videos on The Outer Worlds

I feel like Outerworlds was more hype than delivery when it came to its success. The breathe of fresh air feeling, combined with fallout 76's abysmal display of respect for customer service, plus the Obsidian stamp. Not saying its bad, just never hooked me like any of the fallouts did (including 76)
