Watching this as an adult, I realize how much this movie is pure D&D. We have a barbarian, a rogue archer, and a fighter breaking breaking into the evil fortress because a king sent them on a quest to rescue his daughter from an evil wizard. Tell me that's not D&D
I love how Conan the Barbarian manages to be an awesome fantasy action movie while deviating from the original story. This Conan is more like Kull in terms of his backstory, yet he's still able to be respectful of the vision of Robert E. Howard.
Out of the leaves and onto the glade, there appeared a man. He was nearly a giant in stature and his chest, trunk, shoulders, arms, thighs and legs rippled with muscles as heavily corded as steel cables. He was naked but for a silk loin cloth wrapped around his loins. In his right hand he held an enormous steel sword and in his left a hatchet of burnished copper. A bloody linen cloth was knotted around his wounded left knee. His sandaled feet never made a sound as he slid along the grassy knoll like a supple panther for all his bulk. Volcanic blue eyes blazed through a shock of straight black hair and his grinning white teeth smiled out from a scarred face. - The Treasure of Tranicos (1934) Robert E. Howard (1906-1936).
LOVE this scene...Subotai n Alera knew Conan so well that their convo was really a way to aim direction at Conan...cause they knew him well enough to know it would have gone left of they tried preaching to him.

Truly regettable Arnold did NOT make 3rd series. I know Preditor was good but he and produsoer still could have made. In fact, Arnond is still and still can do most of acting, NOT like ready to die actors just show up and barely moving so easy stuffs, but all the moving stunds are done by youngster like Lee Van Cliff, Joey McCresa sat in a hours, just sold film, but he did not anything except showing his body sat in horse, I guess he could not even walk!
After seeing this grue some evil human cannabalism, those soliders of evil's neck chopped does NOT bother one bit! This is type old fassion spine chilling move, NOT dam computer animated bul crap!
I under stand why people have wanted to sacrifice me. What I want to understand now, is what would I gain by making a sacrifice to "Set"? Would it make me, "Stronger"? or Stranger? hahahahahhahaha
1:51 okay who watched the horses while they three were infiltrating the cave? Horses might just wander off if left unattended.. yikes who are those people hanging at 3:36? Oh, those are the sacrificial victims that ended up in the soup. This evil lair has the worst security ever.
