Always appreciate these reviews. I was pleasantly surprised by the outsole on Tempo Next%. Agree that recovery day is a non-starter in these for me, but I do like these as an alternative for my long run days where I want a little something extra, but don't want to go with a lightweight option. One other thing, that I think is worth mentioning is that this shoe helps train my feet to run in the Alphafly.
Great to hear your thoughts Jordan! Totally agree. For people who can afford both the Tempo and Alpha, I think they complement themselves nicely! -Connor
I really like the tempo next% a lot even at a slower paces, because I still tend to run on the forefoot. However, I do notice I get a “bruise” type feeling or sensation on the medial/lateral parts of the ball of my foot but goes away within 12hrs. You’re explanation about the experience is spot on!
I use Nike zoom fly3 for competitions, I would like to buy another Nike shoe for medium and fast everyday workouts these zoom time next to as I understand it seems a bit for everything !!!
A quick note here regarding what is commonly said about the tempo: i have vaporfly, alphafly and tempo. In no way they r comparable to VF ou AF. In no way they are the training version of the alphafly: far too heavy, not boncy at all like the AF. Sole looks the same but is not at all the same to me. I use tempo for long workout at 4'30/kilo. Below that, too heavy
@@Daveyboyroy the women's version isn't, but the men's is and it's only due to the stack height. Not that it has a huge advantage. I have a pair myself and honestly, it's a great shoe IF you are planning on running fast in it. It's not heavy like people say it is. The only reason they say that is because it's a big shoe
@@cruzmorgan4204 Yeah I read that only the women's is illegal too, but other sites like canadianrunning say it's both and that the men's is illegal too! I really hope you're right though; I have this shoe also and I love it. Hoping to wear it for my next marathon.
This sneaker comes with SERIOUS DEFECT, I bought 2 pairs of this model, one for me and one for my brother and they both cracked the sole right under the capsule, in the part where there is a "free span". When I called the NIKE call center, they told me that this model is causing a lot of defect in the sole, it cracks after a few km of use, NIKE itself does not indicate the exchange, the attendant told me it was better to get a voucher or ask my money back. IT'S A SHAME, NIKE KNOWS THE PROBLEM IN SEVERAL SHOES OF THIS MODEL, AND STILL LEAVES IT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASES ON THE SITE, AND THE WORST, STILL DOES PROMOTION. I felt cheated by NIKE and do not recommend any runners buy this model.
The composite plate isn't as rigid as carbon fiber which helps make it feel not quite as aggressive and a little more flexible. But due to the stack, it's still a fairly rigid shoe. -Connor
Zoom tempo comes in at 262g for an EU 44. I tested the shoe from around 3min km to 5min km. I felt it performed best below 4:20 km and really came alive under 3:50 per km. -Connor

You recommend these for exercise like jumping squats and skipping rope?
I found them rather tight and restrictive on the upper. I should’ve gone half a size up.

What are your PR’s
Looks like if an alpha fly and a fly knit racer had a baby
Is this shoe good for a half marathon race? If the alphafly is too much for you?
yes!
I think it's probably good for any longer distance race honestly
Yes but be aware it isn't competition legal.

They save money on complexite plate huh.
