It is foolish to underestimate the Chinese in any matter.
At this point I would say most view on China is more on 'overestimated' side.
@@DOSFSfor example
@@DOSFSthe Australian study claiming china is leading the world in 37/43 critical technologies says otherwise...
This study proves china is underestimated by mostly Americans...
@@CulturalXplorer19That Australian study solely focuses on the number of paper publications without considering the practical application or real-life utilization of knowledge. For instance, that study states that China leads in AI hardware accelerators ,aircraft engines, machine learning.. but everyone knows Nvidia and AMD monopolize AI hardware accelerator market, US has maintained a significant lead in aircraft engine technology, and we how China has faced challenges in keeping up with machine learning models like ChatGPT, Bing, or even Google Bard.
I think most people neither overestimate nor underestimate China, it's just another nation trying to get along until the end comes, which eventually happens to all civilizations according to our history.
China's space station is the most advanced in history, I fully support China in all Space-related stuff. I hope I can see city lights on the moon in my lifetime.
At the current rate of progress, all those with more than 20 years of life remaining have a chance to see this historic moment
Everyone's invited, except Americans.
@@pikachus5m166 nasa will crowl back for mercy. ha...................
Of course, the Chinese space station is the most advanced in history, it is the latest collaboration of stolen technology from Russia and the United States. China has been able to take advantage of 50 years of ideation, ingenuity, risk and sacrifice from the rest of the world. China has not used ingenuity since gun powder.
@@pikachus5m166blame Republicans xenophobia
I love the chinese space advancement, we need a new space race like they had back in the day
yeah - without china as a competitior here - the US will do Nothing -- the 'space' industry just turned into pork barrel politics to give money to southern states (sls basically designed to use parts which supported those companies rather than fresh design resulting in a trully expensive out of date behemotth - or is that white elephant) -- the iss was just a political move to lessen the impact of the soviet space station lead (and uuhm borrow their tech)
Turning sifi fans into aerospace fans, thank you space race excellent as usual
Nota: scyfy
USSR early in the space race had a project called Zvezda or Star with plans and automated machines etc
This plus Matt Lowne is a very good weekly spaceflight fix
Great stuff! Keep it coming!
I think any country or person laser focused on becoming a multiplanetary species has a huge advantage over countries and people who are not.
Not really. No country on Earth actually has the money to make humanity into a "multiplanetary species". The Apollo program devoured 2.5% of the U.S. GDP during the 1960's and it only bought us handful of short-term landings on the Moon.
This is why you don't see Elon Musk liquidating his Tesla stock to pay for "his" Mars program. He knows that he can't even begin to afford it. Neither can the U.S. We certainly won't get a "huge advantage" over any other country if we bankrupt ourselves trying to do this.
Which is why Moon and Mars bases have been talked about since the 1950's and we still don't have them.
Awesome
What are talking about know one been there it's all a fucking joke.
Not necessarily.
@@iamsheel In any conflict you want the high ground and being out of earth's gravity well is the altament high ground.
Competition drives innovation.
5:04 it's a race to a moon base! Ready Set Go
Great content!
This is a very smart channel. Keep it up.
as we all know in the field of research accidents and explosions happen but as a ocean based operation all that worry is put to the side lines and after the mistakes are corrected then the joys of space flight can begin, and the money made, and the future become real for all. i am so happy to be at a time to witness all these great achievements now and those to come.
Let me let you in on big secret
😂 you'll be an very much older person before you realise this all make believe 😂😂😂😂
Yes, for those of us who were fortunate enough to have witnessed the first space race and the several NASA moon landings, at a time when we only had to think about going, again and again, and we did, it will be a great and long waited time to see happening again.
Optimistic, good for space travel
Great video!
A space craft needs to be build on moon more comfortable and larger before going to Mars. And have space stations to dock with. Before descending. To mars. You should always have a back up place to go if you have an emergency escape from the planet
Is there a reason why Germany is not a member of Artemis?
I would like to know too.
Hab ich mich auch gerade gefragt 🤔
Last time they launched rockets British people took shelter
ESA is probably the biggest partner to NASA for Artemis so all members of ESA including Germany are in.

it would be interesting to see its viability re-evaluated using modern tech
@@gregryeii403 cool animation of it on you tube, just google it, everyone who does not know what it is. So darned awesome!!
Ahhh yes another space race really excited
Very strange that you mentioned that SpaceX inspired space launch and not Russia’s Sea Launch or similar Chinese project
Chinese copy everything SpaceX does , so no credit to the Chinese
1.5 Mill is chump change as far as space R&D goes. I also think there is some pollution aspects to be considered with ocean launches.
YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT POLLUTION WHEN THE U. S. HAVE JUNK FALLING.. 😮
然而你却没考虑过美国英国日本长期对海洋的核污染,又或者是美国如今的教育系统如此残缺,你根本不了解我在说什么
should talk about pollution aspect from space-x rocket that explode multiple times
Awesome!
Well informed and presented. Thanks!
4:25 - Fortunately, this will be an "arms race by proxy" - more of a "bragging rights race"; certainly better than the actual arms race (not that the "real thing" will be fully replaced by it).
It would be naive, of course, to expect these blocks to unite their efforts (although, at the end of the Moon race, who would have expected that the first module of the ISS would be Russian?) However, UNOOSA would be well advised to spearhead efforts to ensure interoperability of lunar communication and navigation infrastructure, and, ideally, docking, electrical and fuel and gas interfaces, in the interest of safety.
China has also launched space rockets from floating platforms if I'm not mistaken.
Old aircraft carriers could be used as well
Great news 📰 ❤China 🇨🇳 best wishes from Pakistan 🇵🇰 .
Thank u and hope Pakistan will soon be moving forward in space and development, best wish ❤
I like your videos , i will say there is way to much changing imagery. i feel you could loose a third of the unnecessary stuff
Probably can't help but do that after having been programmed by television to consider rapidly changing images healthy and normal.

1 tunnel boring machine is all you need on the moon to get enough materials amd build lava tube to lava tube transport systems, (moon lavatubes can be miles wide)
Why not build underground. More protection from radation and stable temp.
As long as they don’t blow up space debris into orbit, more competition for the space race is always a good thing
I agree partially with what you said. The word I don't agree with is "always". The thing that bothers me about China and it's allies, is that they are all pretty much countries that at best have absolutely terrible human rights issues with their people and governments/leaders. At worst, they some of these countries including China, have pretty much enslaved their populations. These countries would also likely want to enslave people on space stations and on other planets one day. The West has cozied up to these godforsaken countries in the past and still does. We in the West will pay for that one day.
@@k.sullivan6303as an Iranian I have to agree with you. china is allied with bunch if dictatorships unfortunately the so called free world doesnt seem to care about this anymore, even though we suffer and are hold back immensely…
Communist China competing in the Space Race is the same as Nazi Germany competing in the Space Race. Still think it’s a good thing?
@@k.sullivan6303you have to get out more. Do you know anyone from mainland China.
@@k.sullivan6303xactly. Russia is an authoritarian state. Pakistan is pretty nasty with support for terror groups. UAE has poor human rights. China is appalling, an authoritarian state run by a criminal gang committing genocide. They were executing Falon Gong members and harvesting organs, maybe it still goes on.
Hope they do better commercially than Sea Launch did
Nice
Sea launch does have major side-effects: on the fauna and flora on the sea.
Rocket flame boiling the ocean is obviously bad, but if that can be diverted/mitigated what other massive impact would it have?
No it doesnt. Rocket is too small... like dropping a match in a lake.
Sea based launches are not new. They know exactly what to expect. I have never heard off any effects on flora and fauna.

Are the walls going to be 8 foot thick to stop the hard vacuum of aTor value of 10 to the minus eleven?
Idiot , it only needs to withstand the air pressure inside , which will be no more than earths 14lbs per square inch . But you want some protection from micro meteorites which could puncture the structure , not that that would be catastrophic.
Progression, well done China
Competition is great for getting things done nice and quick but not very nice for longevity since corners may be cut once it becomes overly political
I'm in. Dr Dent astrophysicist Rocketeledyne owner.
maybe we should measure how much impact(damage) these water launches have on the ocean

Emperor Ming plans to build a palace on the Moon.
An international moon base without the US correct?
I find it amazing that there are grandiose plans to build moon bases when no one as actually landed an astronaut on the moon in 50+ years. It seems to me a sensible plan would be to fly reliable vehicles first and build bases after you have established routine transportation
😅 To land on the moon 50 years ago and multiple times using hand crafted spaceships will only happened in the magic world. The Appolo designs can not even pass 50% reliability tests. You are lucky to go and come back once twice... But traveling multiple times safely is joke 😅... Ps, American moon soils had totally different composition as Chinese moon soils
We have spent our entire history fighting over land, food, and about everything else not listed here. I truly hope that we age out of killing each other and start living in unity. This is our planet and if we don’t start sharing it and caring for our environment and each other we will be the reason we go extinct it makes me genuinely upset when I watch conflict after conflict, military actions just to get china pissed. My question is why just why? It’s time to make a change globally 😢
you should ask USA, as the strongest country, they persue unilateralism
You are correct, take these wasted resources and use them to start to fix our own globe. What good is it to find something that is millions of light years away that will not do us any good.
i feel anything that has to do with space should have all the countries together. its space noone owns it
The US Congress does not agree with your statement. They oppose your remarks
Dark energy is just the fact that spacetime has a slightly negative curvature.
As you move forward in spacetime, it becomes the future and parallel lines get farther apart.
Dark matter exerting a gravity-like force is more like a real mystery to be solved.
Or dark matter is a myth and we still don't understand the universe fully 🤷♂️
@@JonnoPlays I agree.
@@JonnoPlays not a myth. It's affects can be directly measured.
@@billweberx The affects of something we don't understand can be measured. Dark matter is a way to explain these effects if we're using the correct equations. It could be there isn't any dark matter and we aren't using the correct equations.
@@ddegn Einsteins theory of gravity has been proven over and over again to be true. Given that, the amount of gravity holding the galaxies together is extremely higher than the amount of mass in the galaxies, which means there's something that we can't detect on the electromagnetic spectrum that has gravity. We call it dark matter. We will eventually discover what dark matter is, but it does exist. It's not just a math problem.
