How to Add an Adjustment Layer in Final Cut Pro X (Apple M1 Silicon)

UPDATE: Newer versions of FCP will delete your adjustment layers; repeat this process to get the adjustment layers back.
UPDATE 2.0: I've found an even easier way to do this! I'll list the steps here below.
1. go to Finder
2. Click on Users (the tab on the left with the home icon)
3. Click on Movies
4. Click on Motion Templates
5. Create a folder called 'Titles'
6. Add your adjustment layer folder to the Titles folder
7. Right-click on the Titles folder and select Get Info
8. Under Name & Extension add '.localized' after Titles
9. Look in FCP and your adjustment layer should be there!
Comment down below if this method worked for you! Also, you don't have to close and restart FCP with this method, it auto-populates.

This exact procedure isn't working for 10.7.1 but I was able to find a correct path using it as a guide. And the transitions you linked are working in the new FCP! I couldn't figure out how to update or make new working adjustments after updating so that's an incredible help. Thankyou!

Just FYI - the mid/late 2024 method is to do as you did in the video, but then do the -> right click on "adjustment layer" folder -> Get Info -> expand "Name & Extension" if needed -> add '.localized' to the folder name -> hit 'Enter' -> Enter system password -> Hit 'Enter'

I have no idea where that dragging&dropping came from. Since 2012, when FCPX came out, there is the same path where you can find (and ADD) everything: >user >Movies >Motion Templates > Titles (in case of Adjustment Layer). Don't mess around with "show content". You can change many things there, but you can kill FCP too.
