Pretty epic see you and the Alferrari on the big stage! Massive congrats mate. I cannot wait to see and hear you ringing its neck on the road/track soon!
Hey Jeff, maybe you should print out a few pictures of the "before" stage and put it on your windshield when you go to this kind of meetings. Because no words can describe what you went through. Cheers
I've built a couple of my race cars myself, but this is a Master Class level of construction. Unbelievably ambitious and unique. All I can say is wow, just wow.
@@993mike I don't know anything about him, but I would assume he's a fabricator. My father is a welder/fabricator, and he has a machine shop in the garage. Ironically he's also an electrician. He would build cars for people in his shop, and even wire them in many cases. Typically you're building a custom chassis for your engine, trans, and rear anyways. And then you're welding the body of whichever car. It's a lot of measuring up front, and even then you'll run into things but you adapt as you go.
dude is his own car manufacturer. From design to engineering to fabrication. Given enough investment dude can probably form his own restomod company, and do it better than most of em. Fuck if he does I'd apply lol..
So I just watched him build the car, and yeah you're right. I don't know many people who are fabricators, mechanics, and can cut/stitch their own leather. He's a wild one.
The guy who built it is a wizard, he also just jammed an Audi v8 into a boxster. Well done Jeff. And it’s cool you painted it yellow, which was the original colour for a Ferrari
For those of us who have followed Jeff and the Alfarrari . . . Let's just say, there have been many "Ups & Downs" especially the roof. This has been a serious journey, with an incredible end result. It is brilliant. Jeff is a master-artist-engineer-sculpture.
I actually think Enzo would fully appreciate all of Jeffs tremendous work in creating this beauty. My brother had one of these back in the 80's so they'll always have place in my heart... fantastic work Jeff - Good luck with the Truck
Jeff is the best automotive UA-camr you’ve never heard of. I’ve been following him from the early days. He’s a (humble) master craftsman who can do it all.
Normally I like cars restored to factory spec but this guy is incredible and his range of talents from upholstery to paintwork is simply amazing. Truly talented guy and a beautiful homage to Alfa Romeo
Jeff is an artist and an engineer. I myself would want an ultra leggera version with the DOHC 2.0 and a finely tuned SPICA. There's a lot of specialized parts here, but if Jeff is doing it for himself, kudos. I have a few homebuilt things I built to never sell. But nothing nice like this.
Never heard of Jeff before or his YT channel but this is why I love your videos Larry, always featuring such unique people and builds. Jeff sounds like a great guy, super humble and proud as he should be, this is an incredible build and the fact he did everything himself is a huge achievement.
Same, I'm Aussie and ashamedly never heard of his channel. Have read about his build on FB, but no one mentioned a YT channel. Love his passion, and you just know he's a brain's trust on any task he endeavours upon
A true labor of love!!!!! I LOVE that Era of Alfalfas I was almost sure I would never see a beautiful car like yours. When they were made I was 1 year old...Drive it safe! Drive it happy and I hope when ever you are behind the wheel. You know you are a lucky hard working manyou are. And what some dedication can do
6:57 "Let's talk about the body itself. So did you change the body at all?", then camera cuts to those incredible houndstooth pants! "I spent a lot of time as you can see". Why yes, yes I _can_ see that. But seriously, this car is way beyond brilliant and I'd love to see a feature on the build from start to finish. Insane levels of craftsmanship on every millimeter. I can't believe it ONLY took him 4 years.
I watched this build from day one, Jeff is an absolute maniac. Such a great build and so much attention to detail went into this. It may not be perfect but it's perfectly awesome. This and BOM's project Binky have been staples for me for ages now.
13:20 - BUILT NOT BOUGHT. can't wait to hear it run, iirc the 3.6 in the Modena and the 4.5 in the Italia were the last of the NA Flatplane V8's. to Ferrari's credit though the current generation turbocharged V8's don't sound too bad. they're not terrible and that's the best compliment i can give.
2:11 its like that meme "The Italian doesn't want you to know this but you can get F360 engines for free (ok not free). I have 12 of them myself!" Man I need to check out this car wrecker just for eye candy.
Jeff and Mrs Jeff has a great channel. I have religiously followed this build since day 1. His skills are crazy and he often had to re-do stuff because if it’s worth doing twice.❤ 🇦🇺
Been following Jeff since he started his 911 project. He forgot to mention that he also did a "quick" Beetle restore on his channel too! The man has many talents and is definitely an inspiration.
Wow, that is the coolest, most beautiful swap I’ve ever seen, I mean no question no.1, talk about stuffing a v8 engine in a small chassis. This is so clean and sexy, it makes a perfect 454 Nova look like a rusted half-ton truck. 👍👍👊🏻
I’ve loved following this build, and what a legend, the conversation you’re having with him, is exactly what I look for at car show. He’s done so much, and can tell you so much about the car it’s not possible to, you have to ask so he can answer. He’s done so much he wouldn’t know where to start. Such passion, such unbelievable blood sweat and tears. Nothing but respect for the man, one of the UA-cam legends up there with turbo yoda and the likes
This guy possess a level of motivation and accomplishment that is purely alien to me... I could only dream of creating something so unique and completely awesome. He should be absolutely proud of his result. It is a beautifully built machine that showcases the passion involved in it's creation. WOW.
I've followed Jeff and his lovely wife Mrs Jeff from the beginning of this Project and it really was a fantastic build with Mrs Jeff giving us a history lesson in Alfa and Ferrari with her funny outtakes.
So cool you get to see our Aussie gems Larry.. so sad I couldn’t get to Sydney to meet you , hopefully you will be back!, then I could bore you with my quirky car collection 😅😂

Jeff has done 4 cars in total. He left out the VW beetle. He also dips in and out of his Porsche Boxster race car (with an Audi engine swap). It’s an on going project.
Thanks again Larry for coming to have a look at my crazy project.

Jeff is such an inspiring builder, all of his builds have been great to watch.

Anything worth doing is worth doing twice!
And "that" timing belt scare!
Jeff's builds are always incredible. 👌 Can't wait to see what he does with his car transporter build!
I have been watching this build for a while. I am so glad you had a chance to interview him and see it, Larry.
Jeff deserves more recognition and credit. I started watching him on the 240z project and from there I haven't missed a episode of his builds.
wish we could hear that beauty runnin...
The greatest gift that Jeff gives us is his willingness to give something a go. It gives me a lot of confidence to do the same.
Homebuilt is such a great channel, he's very good at video detailing his work!
I actually think Enzo would fully appreciate all of Jeffs tremendous work in creating this beauty. My brother had one of these back in the 80's so they'll always have place in my heart... fantastic work Jeff - Good luck with the Truck
Ferrai is red because of Alfa, Enzo admire Alfa, he also drove for Alfa team.
Nice!!! Been following this project for a while, great to see Larry covering this car, and talking to Jeff...
A Ferrari modified Alpha Romeo is a nice nod to the history of the two manufacturers.
Congratulations Jeff. So happy Larry got to feature it.
Jeff did an amazing job, it's been 4 years of videos, on all parts, really great and clean work.
Took me a bit to realise I wasnt watching one of Geoff's vids., ooking forward to his Truck build.
Those wheels on that car are amazing! Bella!

He has been making videos for a while now and it is really cool to see his skills grow over that time. He is great
One of my favorite videos so far, so many small details
Its absolutely beautiful.
This Guy is a Complete and total badass.
There's not a single body/engine I'd rather have than this one. Purely amazing.
Jeff is a living legend 😎 just remember this car is all hand built by himself in a shed, not many car restorers do that.
