- We can't believe it's the final episode of Budget Eats for 2020! To send everyone off on a glorious note, June has $100 to spend on a 10-Course Christmas feast. I think it's a great way to learn about and respect your food. Everyone should see how their food grows and lived and understand the process. Takes a while to get used to it though.

Regardless, showing empathy isn't something anyone should be punished for... and even if she was under qualified in some way, everyone should be paid a wage they can live on
I personally appreciate the recognition of the feelings that many of us confront when cooking meat, which is, after all, not really a sustainable practice for our population numbers on the planet.

10k isn't much though considering how many views she is bringing in, she should be paid her worth, whether that is a percentage of the whole earnings from her videos.
I REALLY appreciate the fact that you’re total bill was actually $100. Most people will put in their title “$7 dollar steak dinner” and it’s like only the exact proportions of the foods they used. Like I could not realistically go to a store and buy what I need for $7

As someone that has slaughtered animals (lamb and chicken) a few times since I was around 16, I think, mostly western people, should be faced more with the fact that they're eating an animal. I think people wouldn't be so wasteful that way.

yess all those intestines, livers, heart and other goodies are seemed to be non existent in the western side of the cooking culture and I think they are missing out
I work in a slaughter house. At first it's a little shocking, after a while Its just a product going down the line.

How much June incorporates Aaron's preferences and the fact that she verbally asked for his support when she needed it with the duck and his teasing and encouragement of her - they have such a lovely relationship ❤
A healthy relationship doesn't have one party basically begging for validation or any other form/s of basic human decency. When you care for a person, you give it willingly. Your partner shouldn't have to ask for basic gestures.

I’m so curious what June’s compensation or salary is compared to her colleagues. She clearly has an incredibly larger fan base (not to say the other don’t deserve it) but she is brining in not only money and more audiences but she’s creating content that will last forever.
I hope Delish understands how much of an asset June is and compensates for her accordingly. She’s an incredibly hard worker and you can tell. Her personality is only a bonus that the Delish fans fell in love with

I've been binging budget eats, and I finally found the origin story to the pumpkin pie spice salt. I thought June was being experimental with the spiced salt, but finding out that it was an accident is an even better conclusion.

@@elizabethquan4702 I didn't until recently my mom told me to use them by telling me my grandmother uses it too like her, I added them (leaves and the stem) whole to soup, the difference, so now I add them to anything! they have to be green though I guess.

I appreciate that you are encouraging people to accept, essentially, where their meat comes from and acknowledge the animal. My family raises meat and egg laying chickens, hunt big game for red meat sources, and fish for fresh salmon. My two toddlers are a part of raising the chickens (knowing they will be our meat) and fishing/filleting. We thank all of our chickens and the moose/caribou we harvest. It’s an important process to be connected with the food you consume. We also garden (on a small scale) we all feel great value in being able to eat something we grew with our hands. Ignorance isn’t always bliss. Being connected to your environment and food is so important and healthy. Great message, June!!! You’re a joy to watch!

I think it would be cool to see Budget Eats do a "25 dollars at..." series where June has to spend 25 dollars in a specific store (I'm thinking places like Patel Brothers, H Mart, a Middle Eastern grocery store, a Latino grocery store, etc) and cook as many meals as possible from what she buys there. It would be a great chance to see many ingredients that might be unfamiliar to different viewers, how to use them, how to combine them and how to incorporate them into our daily home cooking.

You know, June deserves all the credit in the world. It's hard enough setting up shots for one dish, let alone 10 different ones. So much recording, then stopping, then recording again. June is one of my biggest cooking inspirations ever, and I really appreciate all the work and effort that goes into cooking AND filming it all.
