I would love to see Aaron buying different stuff for 25$ and June cooks it, not knowing what he bought.
This is an awesome idea!!
I vote for that great idea
Like surprise ingredients?
Like Chopped?
I feel like that was already done..
No? Maybe?
Petition to get June a raise. Whatever she is getting paid, she needs more!
She's the very only one I'm interested in watching anyway.
Give our girl a raise!
and a spiralizer!
@@lllovesalll and a muffin pan!
Yeah i feel like she needs significant raise- 3 meals a day for a week? Working too long hours filming herself buying supplies, filming, production, planning and recruited taste tester aka Aaron too lol
watching June's series is literally better than watching Netflix
Then a HBO MAX show
Yes!

June is real!
Yup!
I'm glad Aaron still comes to the camera, despite people being downright mean about him in the comments of earlier videos. It's great to have another take on the dishes and he has a good sense of humour!
people just can't handle real honest critism that's why they don't like him
He was being a little short in previous videos but he’s more polite now
@@josie3221 I mean, the guy didn't apply to be on camera, not everyone is comfortable with that being in their house. I think that's fair enough, it's very foreign.
People were mean to him? :( :( :( That's really too bad. I thought he was being honest and their whole exchange feels very 'normal' for couples esp. when he's roped in to try out her different recipes. :D
@@josie3221 Mhm, @58:03 is an example of that. Here she is feeding him and trying to include him, while he berates her efforts.
People who wants june to have her own YT channel 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Update: Thanks so much for the likes.. this is the proof that we all love June 🥰
girl yes please
Yes please!!!
Me and I think she is so beautiful and amazing
Yeasssss pleaseeee !!
Definitely!
I don't know if it's intentional or not, but it's hilarious how Aaron's head always gets cut off PERFECTLY because of how much taller he is than June. Him being this faceless commentator in the background is great.
😂😂😂
Honestly
u see his face 14:39 my immersion is ruined

Who else thinks June is the most inventive and resourceful chef on UA-cam? I leave every video with so much inspiration bubbling!
A creative culinary genius, period !
Agreed
🙋🏽♀️ same!!
100% agree with you.
I try so many new things because of June!!
Delish, pay her more. She is carrying you.
The other cooks are really great too!
@@aurianep2189 What other cooks???
To be fair with that many ads I'm sure she's getting paid
Her back must be so tired from carrying Delish
@@Veronica-tk9rl Well, yeah. It's her job. But she deserves more. Ain't nobody else ever here for anyone else but her. She is carrying the channel.
I hope you also pay aaron, because he is a very important character of these series too. June saved me from my bonappetit-orphanage
he gets paid in delicious food. i know i'm jealous!
But he can be kind of mean sometimes.
@@lovely.ameeeee485 it is just honest criticism.
I once served an elderly couple who asked me for a side of sauteed garlic slices for their meal. When I delivered their food, the woman said, "Perfect. We are garlic people." Aaron and June are garlic people.
Dearest June - At 1:00:34 you apologize for soy sauce being “high in carbs.” Your goal this week was low-carb, not no-carb. You have nothing to apologize for! You kicked this not only about of the park, but down the block and into the next neighborhood. Your skills have earned you an impressive following which is very well deserved. You are so loved by your audience as well as Aaron. ❤️❤️❤️
yasss rose!!!
I think one of my favorite things about June's videos is the fact that she does all this in an regular kitchen with everyday appliances and she's able to create Incredible meals ❤️
I always wondered if they even have a dining table and chairs because they're always by the kitchen counter. Then in this vid she just said they're always standing :P
@@jesselduque2858 I saw them sit down -- once.
Yup. Big same. It's more relatable.
@@jesselduque2858 watch the episode wear she eats what Aaron eats for the week . They sit together for dinner.
Please give this girl a solid raise!!! Hard to watch such talented and hard working woman cook in cheap ikea pots ! It’s like making a formula one driver race in Toyota Corolla. Please please pay her according to her contributions! She brings all the people to this channel.
I like Aaron’s commentaries, he’s honest. It gives June cooking more meaningful because she isn’t just cooking for herself.
Imagine if she was to cook for children (who are harder to please) and the viewers don’t like their comments 🙄
It's so weird to me when people get worked up over Aaron's comments! June is clearly not bothered at all when he says he doesn't like something, so why should anyone else be? They clearly have a great relationship where they can be honest with each other.
@58:03 was a heatful mean comment though. What's his problem? You can see that she was hurt by it too.
@@lovely.ameeeee485 it was obviously a joke? She looked as annoyed as I would when my bf messes with me
@@lovely.ameeeee485 it was clearly a joke! Did you not pick up on the tone?
@@lanyreads8725 aaron is hilarious. Since this is experimental cooking, June wants his honest opinion on whether it is worth making again. He throws in those comments to help her in the future. Plus those comments are pretty funny.
An hour + of June? Best day ever!
Agreed 😊
Agreed!! 😆
Hell yes!! ❤️❤️❤️
She is literally the only one on UA-cam worth watching for an hour+.
Sitting watching June while eating dinner is an amazing thing I did tonight.
Yess! June is back!
Delish - you better be paying her well. She’s carrying your entire UA-cam channel
I like Tess too❤️
Yes, she’s great, and I love Slightly kosher and IE. But I get the sense (and I’m not alone) that lot more effort and time goes into June’s video. And I just hope Delish recognise that and pay her a wage that reflects that.
She should just make her own UA-cam channel
You can always tell who are the people who used to watch Bon Appetit because that's where the "You better be paying June well" comments come from.
@@hannahkayee831 she has.. junelikethemonth
Who else is here solely for June? She's fantastic!
I only watch June's videos on Delish because she's the most relatable and easy to watch. Please pay her $1000/hr because she deserves it.
We need to see a week-in-the-life of what June really eats, without restrictions or a budget.
She's done the day version i think

she should do budget eats for like different cuisines like for one budget eat she can do Italian food, Thai food, Indian (etc)
Thai food omg 🤤
Great idea.
What an amazing idea, Zoe! I hope June actually does this!
That is actually a pretty cool idea.
French cuisine or west african could be interesting.
Me looking for all the “give June a raise” comments so I can thumbs them up: 🏃🏻♀️👀
After watching these, I always look around my kitchen and wonder what magic June could whip up with what I have on hand (especially on those days when I feel like there's "nothing to eat" in the place). I admire how willing June is to try new and unfamiliar ingredients!
June’s amazing because she just produces consistently relatable content. Don’t get me wrong, I love Julia tries Everything and Iconic Eats and of course Delish should continue to publish that content. But as we tread the path to a post pandemic (at least hopefully so, now that a vaccine is being distributed) Delish needs to recognise that most ppl would prefer to see budget friendly cooking rather than watching money being splurged on chain restaurants and theme parks. More of Budget Eats and Slightly Kosher please!
June is the only reason I'm subscribed!
P.S. I'm happy to 'try everything' for free. That series doesn't need much skills, does it?
@@andziazach No it really doesn't and I don't know why but for some reason I find it mildly irritating that the presenter of that show probably gets paid a similar amount to June (who is actually out here presenting skills!)
@@shamimanoor1309 100% agree and if I were June, I wouldn't take it very lightly ;)
Well said 😇
Yes! Even if it's not budget eating, just general cooking at home is my top option compared to going out or ordering in.
i also want to suggest june doing a chinese new year feast seeing more traditional chinese/asian recipes! it's coming up soon so it might not make it in time, but hopefully you guys can make it happen
please we need that sooo bad
I second this
YESSSSS!!!!!!
Oh, yeah!
Please! I wanna see budget meals chinese home cooked meals 🙏🏼
As someone who hates being wasteful, it is sooooo satisfying to watch June make the most out of all of her ingredients. She’s super informative too, I’ve absorbed so much from her content.
Wow. How can anyone NOT love Aaron? He’s so supportive of June and her food as well as his obsession with spiciness is endearing. Thanks for sharing. Much love and positive vibes from Montana. ✨💖✨
I love how June wastes nothing when she cooks. I learn so much I can apply to my own kitchen habits.

Did the no carb thing for a little while. Experienced no-carb-rage, and dreamed about eating bread. Now I am the active owner of a bread machine.
That's so funny. 😂
I think this would happen to me as well if I tried low card whahaba
We learn from our mistakes.
happen to me when I did the low carb and ditch rice.. I had dream about rice and give up after 3 days.
😂😂 THAT WAS FUNNY!
For those that get upset at you for using your own spices and oil are just silly. The heat thing about a budget is using what you have on hand to flavor what you buy.
I love Aaron’s honest commentary. June is the rare person I’ll watch on UA-cam for over an hour. She’s great! Love how adventurous everything is.
My seven-year-old watched this with me last night and has asked me three times today to buy spleen.
The children are the future!!
Buy the child some spleens
Buy it!
LOL!! THAT IS AWESONE!
Spleen is delicious. Buy the child some spleen.
June isn't only an incredible chef. She's an artist, a scientist, a biologist, a chemist... and an alchemist because everything she does goes gold.
Facts she amazes me on a Daily
add a fairly decent, dry ,humorous comedian to that list of attributes.
"as well as this herby seasoning that Aaron got from his cell phone company" WHY DID I LAUGH SO HARD
Random advertisement gifts are the best.
Recommend roasting your bones (after first boil) on high heat (~450F) in the oven until they are browned. It adds a whole other layer of flavour to the broth (AND the meat) :-)
I love how she uses EVERYTHING!!
Totally! I have learned that from her and I do it all the time now.
I absolutely love that this series is not recipes. June is a chef and cook in the truest sense in that she measures nothing and improvises based on availability constantly, and also works with imperfect ingredients! While everyone has the ability to learn this, her style especially resonates with asian home cooks. My hats off to one of the ‘realest’ content creators based on food I have the pleasure to watch.
The recipes are in the description
The ninth meal was a masterclass on recipe development. I loved how June talked through how she was adjusting the ingredients to try to get a cohesive crepe.
NETFLIX, YOU’RE MISSING OUT!!!! GET JUNE HER OWN COOKING SHOW
Hi Chef 👩🍳,
I'm Moroccan, and the moment I saw that spleen, I started screaming 'stuff it June, stuff it' lol.
We also have a 'vegetarian' version of the stuffed spleen 😜, with rice and vegetables, and it's as equally as delicious as the one stuffed with minced meat, or heart/kidney.
The succes is dependable on great seasoning, and cooking it just enough so it doesn't dry.
I was so pleased that you have taken in one of our national prides, and make it your own way 👏
Looking for more videos from you.
Love from Morocco 🇲🇦
❤️❤️❤️
Yes! It’s so amazing she uses unconventional ingredients so well and creatively!
Spleen howa ti7an right XD? I might actually try it because of her ! Wish me luck !
@@caramelweeb4949 ah howa ti7an. Just try it, you won't regret it 😋💪
@Maria Amal Bahdad
I was wondering if the Moroccan spleen dish is commonly eaten there, or if it is rarely consumed, such as in the USA, where most people would reject eating the spleen. Also, what is the name of the dish you make from spleen? I would like to look it up.
Thanks very much!
@@lisahinton9682 Moroccans consume a lot more of an animal than many Americans. They also eat sheep's brain (there is a dish where it is prepared with eggs), sheep's head, feet (cow feet for sure), stomach, etc.
It just occurred to me that June's probably the only host across various food platforms/publications that actually sources her own cooking ingredients. Much props to you, June!
Also, as a person who has become a fan of your work, I like that there are gap times between your videos (otherwise, I think you're being over worked and we don't want you to experience burnout) it's quality over quantity ❤️❤️❤️
i agree about the gap between videos, which is why some people saying they want daily uploads from june kinda makes me mad. she's human, not a machine for your viewing pleasure.
@@CatharticCreation Exactly !!
Absolutely !! I really appreciate that !!
Not to mention, a lot of the videos are around an hour long--that's a lot of footage to record and edit. It takes time because it's a lot of quantity with solid quality.
@@NaeOnYT Exactly, that’s a lot of work !! Great quality content !! People should admire this and respect it !!
I really appreciate the low carb meals and use of organ meats! I have diabetes and the keto diet has helped me lower my blood sugar to the point where I don’t have to take meds any more. So low carb is REALLY important to me! You are very entertaining. BTW, I eat quite a bit of veggies on keto, but MSG is a real no-no on keto. I vote for more shows about low-carb! ❤️
Very interested about why MSG is banned on keto, several viewers have pointed this out? Is it just because of its bad reputation and not because of any scientific explanations? paleofoundation.com/is-msg-monosodium-glutamate-paleo-or-keto-friendly/
I know she's amazing and I live keto
I love how excited she gets every time Aaron gives her a high rating
Budget eats is great and all, but all we really wanna see is June.
Look on the Delish website
June always makes me feel like I’m getting ripped off at the grocery store
Same I'm nowhere near her but I definitely started to get more bang for my buck since watching her
I know. It kills me- and she lives in NEW YORK! No fair!!
Lmaooo
Being in Australia I always get so jealous on how stuff is so cheap in America
Omg same, I just paid 3.49 for one tomato in the local supermarket in NY
I think June might be extra tired this week bc she’s starting to slip into ketosis; it’s one of the most obvious symptoms. Even though she said she wasn’t being super keto, everything she prepared really nicely fell into a keto meal plan. And it looked delicious! That soup 🤤
I love how resourceful and innovative June is in the kitchen, and she uses Every part of the meat, vegetable, etc. And she takes on challenges despite anxiety!
Girl I have fed 2 for over a week on $10 and it was hard! I love this content though. Growing up in a Japanese American household, we cooked and utilized as much as possible and it's nice to see it appreciated and highlighted instead of mocked.
Obscure t-shirt quote: "Grit, while good in character, is not good in a bite of food."
I’m in Texas and all of the videos with June are the only thing keeping me alive rn. It’s so cold but her series keeps me warm
Hope things get better ik its rough there rn
Ah the freeze 😅 memories
I was so happy to see chicken hearts. They are absolutely delicious and we eat them a lot here in Brazil, as barbecued skewers. It's the absolute favorite here, and I really think everyone should try it at least once.
Yes, I know chicken heart and chicken stomach from West African cuisine, they are so yummy. I love the texture, so chewy.
I know people don't like it when Aaron critiques her food, but I like having a 2nd opinion.
Better he's honest and she doesn't have to question it my hubby is the same
Aron would be more useful being out of the video. He talks too much. His opinions are totally useless. He’s becoming obnoxious.

I feel like olive oil isn’t cheating - it’s something probably most people have in their kitchen
In South America olive oil is hard to find
@@yennyborja9476 that’s interesting!
Olive oil is expensive. I doubt most(American) people have it on hand. It's not like it's a standard of our cuisine (what even is our cuisine???).
@@germyw Maybe not a high quality tasting olive oil but a cheapy, neutral tasting, cooking olive oil? I’d be surprised to enter an American home _without_ something like that
@@germyw olive oil and vegetable/canola oil are the most common oils I’ve seen. Even as broke students, olive oil is common. Mind you it’s probably not the best quality olive oil lol but it’s usually one of the first oils people buy when they start cooking.

Same, I never miss any episode !!
I’m a carb loving vegan, and I’m here till the end.

It’s cuz we know she thinks of us 🥺
I love Aaron’s aspect of “food replacements in diets.” Don’t try to Make “healthy replacements because it’s just reminding you of what you’re not eating,” and Make great diet food.
I love that the meals aren't prettied up with perfect lighting and camera angles. It looks like real food, and their review of each dish is also honest. It makes me feel better about the creative dishes I have made in the past🤗
The angry feeling could be you going through carb withdrawal. It’s a real thing.
I appreciate Aaron's truly passionate defense of carb-based noodles.
June must be exhausted carrying all of Delish on her back
I would never subscribe if it wasn't for her!

That’s why she needs her carbs
I’m not tryna eat spleen or heart myself but I love everything June does, so here we are

June already discussed MSG, she should now feature her spice pantry and discuss basic to complex spice artillery.
I wish I knew what that AWESOME looking red spice mix was cause omg it looks delicious!!!
June, love your creativity and your sardonic sense of humor; I know you were tired during some of the filming, yet your effervescent personality shines through just the same. Thank you for all you do to inspire the "chef" in us all.
when chicken is beginning to spoil one can soak or wash the chicken in a little baking soda water
In our country, spleen is just a common food, we used to marinade it with tamarind and salt, fry it, eat it with rice and sambal. We also love to make sambal ati kentang, which contain chili, fried diced potato, chili, red onion, and coconut milk.
That sounds delicious!!!
I'm not sure if we can find spleen in the market (I'm in the PH), but there's always some liver. I wonder if we can use that instead of the spleen? They're both organs, yes, but they're most probably different tastes and textures.

I really appreciate your honesty in this video. The recipes are so creative! Good job stretching every dollar.
Every time I see the grocery haul, I think it's not going to last the week, and every time, June proves me wrong and makes a ton of food that looks better than anything I could ever put together.
But you really need a lot of time for this.
I love that June has such a natural look about her; she is stunning without makeup and is such an inspiration in terms of embracing one's own bare-faced, au naturale beauty. She is a very talented and resourceful chef. I have learned a lot from her tutorials!

Low fody here! It can be rough.
I agree about the low-carb flu. It’s a hurdle.
I was thinking this around Wednesday, she's so petite too she probably needs the quick energy from carbs!
