Eric, It is a dashing look. You have the facial structure that can pull off many styles. It gives viewers perspective and an open mind when approaching a new look. Keep on doing what you do.
I like how they cut the length of the ‘stache but kept the fullness. Not too many people do that nowadays. Reminds me of my dad’s ‘stache that he’s been rocking for decades. Very cool.
Chachi!!! He cuts my hair now! He’s super cool!!! I told him I saw y’all were in the shop the last time I was in there. He told me that he would be on here! So cool!
Yup, it's been fun filming at Shed. Uploaded a couple of videos from there and hope to do some more. Awesome to see another Austinite on the channel! :D
Great haircut and beard trim Eric. It’s good to change up your style every so often. Think of trimming my 9 month beard back just for a different look. I’ve done the yeard in the past thanks to your help and advice. And hey, the beard always grows back!
I really dig this barbers approach! Super methodical, and he explained it really well. Gonna be honest, I didn’t know if I’d like the short beard, but it turned out great! That’s a real clean look!!
Thank you for your informative help Eric. I'm really tempted to have a short texture cut like you but I don't have a beard so I need to make the best out of my hair for now haha. Sick video as always bro 🙏
Benjamin Tran happy to help and you can always try trimming down your hair in stages, rather than big significant cuts. This allows you to test a slightly shorter look, but not have to wait 6 months to grow it back if you wanted to.
Man! I thought I liked your long stache, but that stache after the cut is my new goal. Great cut and beard trim! Well done. Just cut my beard as well shortest it’s been in a year. Loving it.
I trimmed my beard down a little the other day. At first it felt a little weird, but I'll live. Sometimes it's good to change up your style a little bit. Great video.
ATX brother- Looks good on you EB! Can see why many think your body language doesn’t signal that’s what you wanted. Might have been an edit casualty, but I appreciate when we get to hear the convo about what look is the goal. I’m not the best at describing what I’m going for sitting in that chair, and I’m new to the beard world so I know I’ll be hesitant to get this bad boy trimmed. That day is coming soon though. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome transformation. I followed an education for barber. I graduated but still need to learn. So this was really very interesting for me. I really like the channel. It always so interesting. Keep making great videos. All you guys are doing a wonderful job.
Oh..my..God. I even couldn't imagine, that you'll cut your epic moustache! Keep on doing all the best for the worldwide bearded society, you're awesome!
Must be warming up in Austin , it looks like a spring clean cut . It makes me imagine a nice barber scent . Looks fantastic , my idea of a great classic hair cut . Thanks . Eric you need to get your daughter an Irish Terrier . Great little dog you'll love .
Very Well done ! You can see the passion in that chachis job, takes his time as he should, calm and at his own pace, that man is skilled, Eric haircut looks fresh 👍🏽
Definitely! Chachi is no doubly one of the most passionate barbers we've filmed. When you sit in his chair, you know you'll walk away with an awesome style. - Jack
I see people bugging out a lot because of the trimmed beard. Personally i think you would never go wrong either way, long or short beard. And also, as long as you're excited about it, that's what really matters, man! Great video! That guy is absolutely talented.
Awesome job! Incredible hair...makes me wish I had more to work with. I can't believe that you trimmed back your mustache! Would you call this a beardstache with a cop stache? There's always such a dramatic difference in the shape of the face when a big beard gets trimmed way back. It's like, "Oh there's his chin, way up there!" It's weird not hearing Eric talk the whole time on a video. I would have love to have heard his conversation with the barber prior to starting. I think it would have also been reassuring for us beard fans for Eric to tell us how happy he is afterwards, and this is exactly the look he was going for. There's some shock value this way though! Keep on growing!
Eric this looks awesome! You’ve inspired me to do the same. I’ve had a huge beard for about a year and half and think it’s time for a change. One question is what guard did he use to get the length right?
Nether Crafter the maintenance has got to be annoying though after a while. Probably spends the same amount of time a woman would in the bathroom with long hair and a big beard.
Thought it turned out really good! Skilled barber who could communicate clearly. Its always good to change up the look sometimes! I personally think it would be cool to grow out the hair again. Might make for some interesting updated and new content for hair styling and maintenance videos. But I understand how long hair can be annoying. Not to mention it needs more work to look as professional in some cases.
I think the short beard looks good on you. Every once in a while I get the urge to trim my beard short like that and then I remember the last time I did it I felt naked and weird. I don’t do very much maintenance to my beard as far as styling goes so it’s pretty easy for me. I usually just rub some oil in my beard and comb it and it’s done. I see a lot of people styling their beards with blow dryers and such and just can’t bring myself to do that. Feel like that takes away from all the time I save from shaving. Luckily my beard seems to look exactly the way I want it to with just a nice comb through.
Sir, I am 17 years old and I want to grow a stabble ...can u suggest me some products to use....because most of my friends have a stabble and they say that I can't grow a stabble.
Eric you look great man! Gonna enjoy that practical full mustache quite a bit I reckon, time to celebrate with some coffee w/o a lid? Perhaps spoon fed food? Yogurt, ice cream, bowl of cereal? You and your barber made some good decisions to really emphasize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of your beard. Great haircut too, fine video Jack, cheers to the barber!
One question about the beard trim: I was always taught that you're supposed to go against the grain of the hair, when using a beard trimmer/hair clippers, mainly to get a more even cut. Is that true, or does it matter?
You guys look like you could be brothers lol
Especially with Eric's new style, they look VERY similar.
- Jack
Yup, and Chachi is about the same height as me as well. It's kinda freaky how similar we look. He looks more like my brother than my actual brother.
Eric Bandholz Ha!
He's actually a clone
ERIC HAS A MOUTH 😱😱😱😱😱
First time I think we’ve ever seen it!
- Jack
Badass look for you Boss. A style change is never a bad thing. Props on the editing too Jack. Well done all around. Peace and Love gents
Thanks as always for the really kind words, Mr. Pearson! Peace
- Jack
Yet again beardbrand my favourite channel for hair and beard tutorials and advice delivering another work of art. Keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words man!

Wow. Looking good there Eric. You're rocking a fantastic hair cut and beard trim. Brilliant video and a inspiration for us all. 👍👍

Where is Chachi! located city state?
Don Walutes Austin, TX.
I've been subscribed for like 4 years now, and I've never seen Eric's 'stache so short! Looks great mate!
Getting a haircut and/or watching haircut videos is very relaxing.
Great haircut and beard trim Eric. It’s good to change up your style every so often. Think of trimming my 9 month beard back just for a different look. I’ve done the yeard in the past thanks to your help and advice. And hey, the beard always grows back!
Good job, you rock it Eric...
I really dig this barbers approach! Super methodical, and he explained it really well. Gonna be honest, I didn’t know if I’d like the short beard, but it turned out great! That’s a real clean look!!
This barber was great. Excellent commentary throughout 👍
For sure! Chachi is a bit of a favorite here at the Beardbrand office.
We'd love to feature him more on the channel!
- Jack

It's a very sophisticated and professional look. I like it a lot.
Oh..my..God. I even couldn't imagine, that you'll cut your epic moustache! Keep on doing all the best for the worldwide bearded society, you're awesome!
I give you credit for continually updating look your look beard wise and hair wise
Must be warming up in Austin , it looks like a spring clean cut . It makes me imagine a nice barber scent . Looks fantastic , my idea of a great classic hair cut . Thanks . Eric you need to get your daughter an Irish Terrier . Great little dog you'll love .
That was some amazing barber work there. Great job! The new switch up looks great too, Eric!
it seems whenever a beard is made shorter people hate it! I think Eric looks great!!
People in here think beards never grow back lmao
Looks great! It shows that you've trimmed your mustache, but it looks so good that way too!
Keep on growing!
Pretty good cut. Lot of barbers forget about shaping up the sideburns as well as lining up the beard with a straight razor.
Looks better than he ever has, great hair cut and beard shaping and trim, handsome dude
Very Well done ! You can see the passion in that chachis job, takes his time as he should, calm and at his own pace, that man is skilled, Eric haircut looks fresh 👍🏽
“Passion in chachis job” is that what I meant.
Definitely! Chachi is no doubly one of the most passionate barbers we've filmed. When you sit in his chair, you know you'll walk away with an awesome style.

Great video! That guy is absolutely talented.
Great look! Very fresh and refined - the haircut was awesome
At Eric's transformations he always looks better at the "before" stages :)
Amazing job from the barber, and a great look for you Eric! The haircut was especially good.
Looks awesome. Better than before. Short beards just look better on you.
The dude is like a Bob Ross of barbering :-D such a calming voice :-) great work though!!!
Great look, Eric. I can relate. I did the same thing this past weekend. However, I only had a long beard for about 3 years. 👍🏼
much better and fuller look than before!

Beard & hair look great, always nice to change things up & it suits you well.
What a transformation! Glad he didn't trim too much on the Eric's 'stache. To me it's part of his trademark.
Nice clean look love it!!! Love the trimmed down beard and hair
Great haircut my dude and the short beard looks really good on you .
15:57 man why you crying? 😶
Naser Ahmed because this guy just destroyed his big beard.
Amazing look my friend, every change is a good change !!!
Eric this looks awesome! You’ve inspired me to do the same. I’ve had a huge beard for about a year and half and think it’s time for a change. One question is what guard did he use to get the length right?
About time you guys uploaded this video.
I think you look best with a big beard and long hair
Nether Crafter the maintenance has got to be annoying though after a while. Probably spends the same amount of time a woman would in the bathroom with long hair and a big beard.
Majin Vegeta I know but its woth it he looks so cool
When did Eric have long hair?
GAMING LEGEND like 3 years ago just look at his videos from like 2015
This is an awesome look. Great video!
Well done! very informative video. Probably the best tutorial out right now
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the kind words
- Jack
The editing is so clean, a good video
Great new look Eric! Really suits you!
WOW Great job. Client looks 10 years younger, 10 pounds lighter and very handsome. One of the best on here.
Chachi really did a great job with this haircut and beard trim!
- Jack
Loved the barber and his smooth talking instructions. Cameraman was making me dizzy with the auto focus issue. I concur, great look on Eric.
playing the entire SZA album! love it!
What shears was he using when doing scissor over comb with the normal shears? The black ones.
Anyone know the name of the song playing between 5:14-5:30?
nothing personal but dude, your mid / long beard really rocks, at this point it reminds me gregs pseudo depression after his trim, Beard ON!
I love this hair cut. What would I ask for? Or best to show the pictures?
We find it best to show the end result of these videos to your barber to best get this style.
- Jack
Well that was an awesome cut! Talented barber!
awesome haircut. I'm going for that cut tomorrow. 😁😁😁
Well done, kuddos to the barber he did a great job.
Damn BANDHOLZ looking crisp
Thought it turned out really good! Skilled barber who could communicate clearly. Its always good to change up the look sometimes!

Which guard you used to trim your beard ?
I think the short beard looks good on you. Every once in a while I get the urge to trim my beard short like that and then I remember the last time I did it I felt naked and weird. Yeey a new video I cant Wait for the next one
Miss the big beard but still suave as hell. Always fun to mix it up
SZA casually playing in the background is now my favorite type of barbershops lol
That Dude is an artist. Looks good bro. How did the beard feel after? Bet that was a little bit of a shocker? Thumb's up~John
Finally, a barber who tucks his scissors away from a clients face...
Thanks, Eric The man himself replies!
thank you finally after so long that mustache is trimmed.
We all like Eric’s beard but can’t deny it looks really sharp now
Sir, I am 17 years old and I want to grow a stabble ...can u suggest me some products to use....because most of my friends have a stabble and they say that I can't grow a stabble.
What attachment did he use for the beard length?
Love the clean tight look Eric. Suits you man
Eric you look great man!
I got it! Hard shelled tacos! Or maybe some long noodles with extra sauce! 😂 rock on beardbrand!
Just a fucking great look! Nice 🙌🏼😄
That babershop looks amazing
ERich, how is going with minoxidil? You seems fully covered on the crown, do you use 5%?
One of the best 👌🔝🔝
always a new look. courageous. discontinuous. Good. I like it better before. still a compliment for the inspiration. Tastes are different.
Eric Bandholz: Beard and Style Trendsetter

Beardbrand absolutely yes. That's why I like Mr. Eric. BTW, the T-shirt is great. I have too.
That's a damn good look for you, I like the big stache and the tight beard.
One question about the beard trim: I was always taught that you're supposed to go against the grain of the hair, when using a beard trimmer/hair clippers, mainly to get a more even cut. Is that true, or does it matter?
Homão da p*! (what a fucking manly man) haahahah
Nice transformation Eric.
A big fan here in Brazil.
link for the gold blade on the magic clip?
SERIOUSLY clean dude
Love the new look, Eric! What was the guard size beeing used? And did he use a smaller size guard on the sides than the goatee area?
What guard number did he use for the beard?
You looked just magical 😊☺👌
Is that guy your brother? You two look so much alike!!! Love the trim. Looking good man!
This is actually the second barber from SHED that looks just like their customer that we've featured in a video!
- Jack
They really sound alike, too!
Looking good, solid mustache
The after is so tough looking straight bad ass
Holy shit The Barber has great skills.
Awesome barber 💈
Now this is quality!
