Jama Brown interesting point. I used to think of it rather as a simple logic, but everyone is different, nobody’s perfect. I have/“had” 2 barbers i frequent. First one can’t blend under their own notion, and the other doesn’t take initiative and left me looking stupid (area untrimmed) where the first barber just cut a couple lingering chunks off...but just as much my fault for letting those spot go that far. With either, i will take innto my own vision to scissor in missed areas; overlooked angles. Communication and use of correct barber terminology is very key..or you’ll get jacked by certain barbers who take any objection the wrong way especially old school barbers.

Exactly what I thought! The barber was being very professional. If you are so high profile, which he is pretending to be, don't get a cheap haircut from an unknown barber!

The ability to work with the public is a true gift, which Mr. Hayward has been abundantly blessed with. I myself lack such skills and might well be tempted to strangle some customers with the clipper cord while they sit in the barbers chair. You have my admiration Mr. Hayward, both for your skill and your patience.

It's genetic. Not from his country of origin but due to the fact that he's traveled and lived in a few places. People who have this trait don't actually realize they're picking up an accent or a linguistic trait. They just do it.

This was a really nice cut. Attention to detail is amazing in this. For anyone mentioning the ‘fade’ he specifically mentions that wasn’t the aim for the end product. Great video 👍🏽

I just watched the video of the guy who cut Carlos' hair right before this. Carlos negated to mention his head looked like an 80's Sun-In and peroxide clusterfick before the previous stylist went in to trim out as much of the bleach as he could. In my free opinion, it looked as good as humanly possibly without cutting it skin tight, or coloring it. It was a near mullet mess, what the previous guy started with. Look up video of "Barber cuts off biggest mistake." I'm only 2 minutes into this video and I kinda hope Carlos' important plans fell through that weekend.
I agree the other guy did a great job , while trying to remove as much blonde as possible . He should’ve done a buzz cut then.
I watched that as well, and the guy from 1st video did a great job of fixing the mess, no idea why carlos is a crybaby now. Eww lost my respect for the guy.

This kind of situation here in Brazil is common and make me mad , some barbers here are lazy and forgetful the blending. And every week i need to fix some of this situations. 🤣🤣 . @@adonis5831 yes but hair can become stronger or weaker via environmental factors which could override good genetics e.g. bad diet and not washing it would lead to hair loss

I think you are the best barber i've ever watched, your cuts are amazing and well explained.
Match both sides to create an even cut. Disconnect the cut from front till about just behind the temporal bone. Blend the back in using the existing length and boom you have a disconnect with a blended back which is even and will grow out better than one lopsided side
Didn't realise this was in bournemouth, I live about 40 mins from there and often go around that area for work. If I wasn't suddenly balding up top I'd be booking myself in for a haircut, I wish I still had as much hair as Carlos and I am definitely younger than him!

man, this guy carlos is a d-bag! i used to have clients like him who were so full of themselves and trying to be cool, experts on everything, picky on everything and almost trying to psych you out on giving them a good haircut lol. funny thing is these kind of guys would always come back b/c i gave them a badass haircut lol, even though it felt like you were drowning by dealing w/ them. it's really when i realized why down-to-earth people are so much better.

It's because the other barber worked at Gentleman's and Rogues club in Poole, one of their other locations. That's why he wouldn't say anything.

I think he just styled his hair to the wrong side to how it was cut shorter to longer on top. I mean, if he styled it to opposite side, it would show more volume.
