    This, to me, is an amazing representation of the advancement of technology. Lindsey’s strike and delivery is so consistent, it becomes a matter of old v new technology. I have GOT to get a new driver!!

    I just can't get over how great these videos are, especially the fitting vids. I just found the channel this week but have watched no less than 30 videos. I'm in the market for a new driver now and can't wait to go thru a similar process to this. Fantastic work guys.

    I am glad I found this channel rather recently. Really looking forward to checking out all of your past videos as well. Also looking forward to seeing you work with the more "average" type of swingers like myself and the majority of players out there and to get better educated on what might be something I can possibly be looking at to be a more consistent striker of the ball. Keep it up guys and thanks for your efforts.

    Great video guys and love the passion. I switched from an R7 to Ping G about a year ago and the differences are significant. I'm sure I'm hitting 30-40 metres further and straighter. I'm surprised the girl hadn't changed sooner given her golfing background and potential exposure to new equipment.

    Just look at that smile on Lindsay's face! ;) This is how a detail club fitting is done amazing job guys! And in fact, TPT Golf won't sell you a shaft without a fitting. Taylormade does not even offer the TPT line within their customization options.

    In reference to your statement about older equipment and skill levels here is a true story for you. 2005-2011 I played the FT-5 stock Fuji shaft, 9.5 Draw bias. Back then I was a 7 index, all I did was play golf. Took several PAT tests, lots of tournaments etc. Starting to get back into this game again. Starting watching your video and thought, cant hurt to check it out right? Just got home from the range with my GBB whatever the damn name is, and a Fuli Atmos, black. WOW. After fiddling a bit with loft and lie, the trajectory is almost perfect and the ball is only about 7-8 yards of the line I am aiming on. The shaft is so smooth and glassy, I just barley step on the gas and it JUMPS off the face. bout 285 ish I would guess....not bad for an old guy. Thanks for these, they have been a huge help. Now I gotta hide all this information from my single digit wife shhhhhhhhhhh.... :)

    Great video guys. I'm going for (what I hope will be) a proper fitting in a few weeks. This gives me great ideas as to what I should be looking for. When I got fitted two years ago, I don't think I was properly fit with my lack of consistency+terrible club fitter knowledge.

    What I like about your fitting, at least in the video, is there is no rushing to complete the process. Excellent, I have gotten a GCQuad for personal improvement recently and going to use it practice and improvement. You discussing those numbers are lessons. I hope to see a video on various clubs and what launch numbers are for different swing speeds. Thank you.

    Great video could really see a lot of my characteristics in Lindsey’s swing results. From speed, shape, height, launch, spin and typical miss not as consistent as her but also struggling to find more distance and a bit more consistency as I’m generally able to predict my miss. Good job guys. Hopefully I can make a visit to check you guys out as it appears I’m in the area. Thanks.

    Great video again Ian! Super educational and reinforces that the TXG team knows how to help all types of golfers get the most out of available equipment. It is amazing that Lindsay was able to see a 30 yrd improvement with the correct fit for her game as it is today. You bring up a key point - even though we may have been fitted for clubs in the past, our swings are constantly evolving (due to age, flexibility, skill level change etc.). What cycle do you guys recommend for average golfers to go through a complete fitting process to recalibrate the clubs to the player? Every 2 or 3 years?

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 років тому

      Thanks for the comment Anthony! It varies from player to player, as it depends on the amount their swing characteristics have changed. Every 2-3 years is a good general guideline though.

  • @BenLowery19

    Wow, thanks for doing this video! Great to see a fitting for someone outside the higher speed male.
    One question on some of the numbers she was showing: is the 12 degrees of toe-up at impact something to be concerned about? How much does lie angle matter in a driver?

  • @davet1320
    @davet1320 6 років тому +2

    Good that you're getting into more of the average swing speeds. Could only dream of being as consistent as Lindsey. Question about the shaft choice. The TPT 16 is supposed to be more suited to her swing speed. Why did you choose the TPT 18 which is for a 70-80 mph swing speed?

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 років тому +1

      The TPT is so stable, it's no problem to go a little softer as long as you don't lose consistency.

  • @jiml6425

    I recently discovered your site and thoroughly enjoy it. Frankly, you are in a class by yourselves among golf sites for both high and low handicap golfers, both in terms of the detailed information you provide and your low-key professional approaches with clients. I have informed golfing friends about your site, referring to you as "the golf whisperers." That said, I have one suggestion. After viewing this particular video, I immediately did a web search for where I might find a used M4 (D type or neutral) and a TPT shaft to try out, as I have been experiencing similar issues as Lindsay with an older driver. I was shocked to find that the TPT shaft was nearly $500. I'm not sure how many of your viewers can afford a shaft of that price, but it would be helpful if at some point you could reveal the approximate prices of the gear you are finding to be the perfect fit for a client and possibly mention a couple less expensive alternatives to consider. I know you have expressed the need to inform fitters prior to sessions of budget needs, but for those without direct access to people like yourself, that pricing information would be extremely helpful as we try to improve our game, with helpful videos like yours, on our own. No need for additional cost-based fitting session videos, but just a mention of a less expensive alternative or two we might want to try out. Again, I have nothing but great things to say about your site, particularly the videos you've done on fitting mid and high handicappers. But especially now during Covid, with more and more individuals trying golf as their only outlet for exercise, it seems appropriate to provide general pricing information. It would only further enhance your reputation. Not to mention, learning the price of something like the TPT the way I did only serves to perpetuate the myth I often hear that golf is a "rich man's game", which I know it does not have to be. Thank you again for doing such terrific work. I cannot tell you how much it is appreciated and SO educational. Jim in California

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 років тому

      There would likely be more output, how much is hard to guess at. Lindsay is fairly neutral with her path already so maybe not a ton. For others making a much larger path change, the change in output could be significant. Good question!

    I've got a question I currently use a 2016 , 12° head m1 driver with an adela rouge stiff shaft that when I catch it flys about 220 and runs out to 240 ish unfortunately it was never really fitted to me and those shots are fewer than I'd like I recently had it cut down by an inch at the local produce shop my grouping has definitely came in but my distance has dropped off significantly so my question is this would getting fitted for an after market shaft give me more distance and consistency

    How expensive is that shaft you fit Lindsay for ? I just got the M4 and was fitted w/the Atmos red 5 R flex. I've got xcalibur shafts through out my bag that I was fit for. Should u consider getting an xcalibur in my driver or something else ? (I'm a 12-15 handicap w/about 88 club head speed). Thank you so much ! Value your opinion.

    • @clubchampionmedia

      The TPT shaft retails for $499, it is very good but of course we'd recommend trying it out first! Always best to try the driver with a variety of shafts to see what suits you best rather than trying to match the rest of your set.

    Great video guys reallly impressed with your channel and presentation... keep it up!! I’ve ordered the M4 in Tensei 70 White as this has given me consistency, however my smash is well down (115mph club, around 1.32-1.35 smash, whereas the Project X Evenflow for example gave me 1.43 smash but sprayed it everywhere and went same distance due to more spin). Does lower smash mean bad fitting?

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 років тому

      Matt, it can mean few things. Sometime launch monitors can be a little inconsistent on the club speed reading so the smash factor can be affected . It's very unlikely you would get such a low smash factor out of the TM M4. Sounds like a miss read to me.

I use an R15 with stock shaft that i've been reluctant to change as its a good fairway finder but i'm sure i could get much better performance with a good fitting. Not sure I would pony up $700 for the TPT shaft, but then again, if i had that level performance gain and feel, I would go for it in a minute! LOL thx

    I need to get fit for a driver... but I don't know if I should work on stabilizing my swing first. What's your advice?

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 років тому

      Cloran, in order to get the most out of the fitting you definitely want to make sure you are making consistent contact and have some consistency to your shot shape. From there get yourself booked in for a fitting and let your fitter work their magic!!! Thanks for watching!!

    So does the customer walk out of your store with the club they were fitted with or do you order a club to be sent to them?

    • @clubchampionmedia
      @clubchampionmedia  6 років тому

      We custom build every order, checking all the component specs and ensuring the customer gets exactly what they've ordered. That doesn't allow us to offer same-day service on clubs, but generally orders don't take too long. If someone is from out of town we can send their order directly.

    When getting fit for a new driver, do you always recommend bringing in your old one to compare numbers?

    • @clubchampionmedia

      Generally people do, not required but it's great to see how your current driver compares.

    12-13 degree toe up at impact wow.....impressive she hits it that straight. Visually that much upright would drive me insane and I would feel like gonna hook off planet.....I know with lower loft clubs that is not a big deal from a performance perspective but 12 and 13 degrees up at impact seems quite extreme. I would also think attempting to hit a fade with that look at address would be much harder for sure. But great video

    It looks like the GC2 software is giving a little extra rollout over the green rather than the fairway, maybe adding a few yards of roll

    You guys did a great job with Lindsay K and I was super impressed with your work. I would love to have you guys do a fitting for me. I am a 12 handicap trending down and have taken golf swing lessons for years. I have been following the youtube videos from Bobby Lopez who really helped me understand how to make a proper swing. I have a local instructor I work with who, luckily for me, works with me on my swing and is pretty much on the same teaching path as Bobby Lopez. I am swinging a custom fit driver now but would like to take advantage of the new technology. Do you have a custom fitter in Minnesota?

      We are just in Toronto at the moment - not too far from Minnesota though is it? 😉😆

      Thank you Ian! We will probably be setting up something official on our website for our viewers to submit requests to participate in a video shoot. Mostly just in terms of logistics it will be easier for us to communicate through forms/email as opposed to through UA-cam comments and messaging. Stay tuned!
